I have been following you since February last year. Since then, I started my simple and cheap farm at home and it's even not my home because it's in a place where I have been sent by the government to work but I rent a room and use it to rear fewer chicks. This time around, I'm doing brooding of at least 250chicks which I immediately sell after a month. I am grateful and because I am now thinking about expanding to something big, I also still need you! God bless your work bro. Aimé from Rwanda
my pullets are now 18th week waiting for my first egg currently they weigh 1.6kg to1.7 kg and i feed them twice a day but cost of feeds is expensive . thanks so much Africhic for the good lessons you teach through experience and facts
Thanks so much sir i was thinking of how i can formulate feeds for my chicken coz i have the available raw materials except lime so will need ur lectures more God bless you
This platform helps me to learn easily from Mr innocent. bro, you are a blessing to me. kindly help me with knowledge on how to treaty poultry that was previously attacked by Gumbulo disease.
Hello my friend. very good lesson, I'm following you now, I'm from Mozambique, I would like to know how to cook soybeans? how many minutes should i bake? just put it in the pan and let it boil?
Hello friend, your videos are very educative. I'm Bernard from Ghana. I want to know if I can use rice husk in place of bran in layers feed formulation.
have been following you and have just discovered a business opportunity of making my own formulated feeds and sell to local farmers. I wish to consult you more. Alfred from Malindi, Kenya.
Hey from America. I don't know the laws where U or many of Ur viewers are, but what about a worm farm for protein, from kitchen scraps and cheeps feed sources (surplus/cheap grains/seeds). Talking earth worms, meal worm (grubs), etc. Even a cricket farm fed on grass clippings. Any thoughts? Talking commercially bred insects from safe sources. And controlled farming, say in a bin, or drawers. Also, I've heard of farmer's setting up fly larvae buckets for their chickens, where they put spoiled meat and safe "roadkill" (anything without buckshot, poisons, toxins, etc.) and put it into a bucket with holes on the bottom and top over a concrete slab, for flies to lay eggs in - the maggots eat the waste feed stuffs, then drop out of the bottom of the bucket onto the concrete when they're ready to pupate, and the chickens get most of them. Any thoughts on this? (As supplementary, if course).
I have been following you for some time you are doing a good job I would lyk you to tell us how much will it cost to start with 400chick for layers for six months
Have you ever experimented with grainless diets? such as larvae and other types of food sources? there is a farmer in the US using compost heaps to feed their chickens..
I have been following you from the start on how to make my chicken feeds. Now I thank you for that. I am now making for my chickens and are well performing Now my only problem is,my eggs are not having yellow yolk. So, which mineral can I add to my feeds so that the egg can have yellow yolk
Every ingrident in his list is ingrident that is likely foreign based and imported....cotton cake, soya...feed input should be locally accessible, readily available and affordable.
I don't think mixing your own poultry feed is the best. I have turkeys, ducks (muscovy breed), free range chickens (kuroilers) and I have tried mixing grains before to feed these birds. It turned out that its both cumbersome and expensive. Buying commercial feed is much cheaper and easier. However, I ferment the processed feed, so that its gets more palatable, the birds eat less but quickly get full and there is less waste when they eat fermented feed. I also prefer buying pellet and crumbs, as compared to chicken mash because when fermented, pellets and crumbs multiply more than mash which is not machine compressed.
@@claudioochieng5080 Almost any feed you regularly feed your chickens as primary meal, you can also ferment it, maybe save for kitchen waste and greens such as vegetables. here I'm talking about grains and commercial chicken feed. You should have about 3 buckets, and these will be used to ferment feed for 3 days. You put the normal feed that you have always been feeding your chickens daily in the bucket, then cover with water. the level of water should be 10 to 20cm above the feed, so that molds don't colonise your feed. After 3 days the feed will be ready to feed your chickens. it would have probably doubled in size, depending on what type of grains or feed you give your chickens. In most cases after fermenting the feed, you will have to reduce the amount of feed you give daily, because chickens will eat less and quickly get full, also the nutrients in the feed easily get converted to meat as the feed will be wet. Fermenting chicken feed is the way to go, whether you formulate your own feed or you use commercial ones.

This platform alone by itself is enough to learn almost anything about poultry farming. Many Thanks brother from Abidjan.
No u need to b on field
Am watching you from Wawa Happy Poultry Farm in Liberia
This is perfect.I have been asking myself why we should be adding thesame nutrients from different crops
Also hydroponics fodder is one of the best. 1kg of grain can give you 3-5kg of fodder. Also protein nutrition rises
Zambia 🇿🇲 you are great brother

Hi,am really learning from you.please is chaf from soyabean milk also bad for noiler birds? As i mix it with grows mash to save cost.
On protein you can also use maggots, which is the cheapest one
Yes this is definitely the cheapest
At what rate should we add maggots to our chicken feed?
Ex: out of 100kg of feed, how many kgs of maggots should be in?
@@vehlouasoumahoro5555
Ratio 1:4
1 part being maggot. Or 1:3 depends on age of the animals
Very well explained. Thank you for this. More detailed videos please
Thanks boss.... lecture on noiler and effect of soybean hull on noiler

I have heard so much about azolla as an altenative feed source for poultry, what is your take about azolla?
Can we use cassava or cassava peel in place of maize
Yes
I have been following you for some time you are doing a good job I would lyk you to tell us how much will it cost to start with 400chick for layers for six months
Is it advisable to feed your Bulgur
Very Educative
Have you ever experimented with grainless diets? such as larvae and other types of food sources? there is a farmer in the US using compost heaps to feed their chickens..
That would be way too expensive for commerical scale. If ur raising chicks for domestic use then yeah that's good.
Is sorghum good for chickens?
I have been following you from the start on how to make my chicken feeds. Now I thank you for that. I am now making for my chickens and are well performing
Now my only problem is,my eggs are not having yellow yolk. So, which mineral can I add to my feeds so that the egg can have yellow yolk
Try to feed them with yellow maize that’s what I heard from someone. For the yellow yolk
Concentrate or yellow maize
What type of Lime are you referring to
Is it advisable to feed your chicken's with Bulgur?
Kindly recoment on where this ingredients can be found

all those ingredients are readily available in Kenya and at an affordable cost
Very informative, thanks
Sir can u recommend good feeds to buy at the store as am doing small scale at the moment and aren't in a position to make my own feeds
You can buy them they are good. Own feed mix just reduce the cost of production
May yo tell me the substitute of fish meal plz?
Can we use maize cob and if so what can it replace?

Wheat can slow down digestion I would not replace corn with wheat oats and barely are better than wheat and milo also
Amazing. What is your opinion on azolla and black soldier fly as protein source, in lieu of soya plant protein?
What do I need to give my chicken with eye problems? Closing eyes and eyes with water.
