Carl, because of your recommendation I began looking into the Weather Wool Al’s Anorak and finally bought one. Thank you making me aware of this great product and company. Everything you say about it is true. It’s unbelievably comfortable and I never want to take it off.
Bro I have the AAJ (All Around Jacket) from weatherwool. This company is amazing. I live just under an hour away from their headquarters in NJ. Ralph and his wife Debbie are the sweetest people. They really know their stuff. Their outerwear is amazing and is totally BIFL. Smoothest wool ever and the construction is impeccable. I've been thinking a lot along similar lines, not so much what is a must buy as what are the things I already have and need to pay attention to and care for for the rest of the my life. This list is great for things that I'm missing, however. An anorak is the ultimate hoodie, and you have identified a great brand for that. Thanks for the video.
The Jim Green African Ranger are a killer boot for the price .. and a good cause .. I upgraded the insole they are very comfortable!! I sprayed them with Saphir waterproof spray

Another great video, partly why I have Jim Green boots and a pair from Franks boots. That Ciano farmer chore coat you mentioned awhile back can be had with a wool liner. That or the Heat strap/weather wool from this video are my next to get.

Picked up a Heat Straps Truckman off of your rec, have loved it so much that I ordered a Chief in Tan with the cord collar. I love that on spite of being rugged work pieces you can dress them up or down.

As far as the chief coat goes... is it practical enough to use as a casual coat for new england weather?
Just got my Patriot coat. (Chief coat with wool lining) and it's an amazing coat. Water resistant, but even in heavy rain it's closer to water proof. The wax coat is very effective. Very warm. Only downsides are that it's heavy and stiff when new, but I don't mind one bit.
Hey Carl, have you ever looked at dixxon flannel shirts, and if so are they good enough for working in?
I have, and I bought one. Their big selling point is their collabs and new colors every few weeks. Quality-wise theyre decent but nothing to write home about.

The Jim greens are nice, unfortunately I think I ended up getting a half size too small as changing out my insoles into something beefier resulted in the end of the tongue jabbing into my big toe when walking.

I appreciate your top buy it for life items,that being said… if it’s not 100% American made I personally don’t consider it a buy it for life item. Anyone else can say or think what they want but the prospect of handing down foreign made stuff (with few exceptions) does not excite me whatsoever.

Aw damn it this video cost me some money. I knew if I watched this video I would have to get my wallet out! The only thing I could afford on the list is the Jim Green boots, they look nice quality and I needed an extra pair of boots to wear. BTW I have recently bought a Pro-Tech knife not the model that you reviewed l love that thing by the way! But you are correct the action on their automatic knives are insane.
