Loved these cartoons as a child and all these years later still do. The scripts were wonderfully witty, the animation imaginative and hilarious and the voice actors simply superb. This is entertainment for the ages.
This one's actually based upon a lesser known Grimm fairy tale of the same name. I always loved the ones that were actually based off more obscure fairy tales, such as "Prince Darling" , "Prince Hyacinth and the Dear Little Princess" and "Felicia and the Pot of Pinks." However, the ones made up from scratch were also always a lot of fun as well.
In the 70s I would have a popsicle with my uncle while we watched these episodes and I loved it! It was a great break from the farming fields! Gosh I miss these! Thanks!
4:23 - Even though this "Fractured Fairy Tale" featured a commercial parody, network executives in the early '60s (when this was produced) were so sensitive of the parody that a disclaimer was necessary.
Actually, I think the original commercial said, "This is a dramatization" to avoid being accused of false advertising. I remember messages like that, growing up in the seventies.
Enjoyed these fables when they first came out and still do today. I thought Chubby Checker invented the twist. Oh well, great tale, thanks for posting. Joe S
This one is based off of Grimm's "The Story of the Youth Who went Forth to Learn What Fear Was." However, some of the fairy tales in this series were made up from scratch, such as "The Magic Chicken" or "Potter's Luck."

Absotively 😂😂😂 some of the best cartoons ever made !!! 😊😊😊😊
Love it when they ran out of classic fairy tales to goof up & they just made new ones.

Are you the guy who got kicked in the opening title sequence? Is that what your surgery is for?
Also great way to get away from television network news.
That voice and cadence cracks me up:"You're just the kind of the nut the king is looking for!"😂😝. . 🤓😎✌🏻

I know Fractured FairyTales are spoofs of traditional tales, but what traditional tale is this based on?
