Very nice cars! The illegible stencils you point out on the ATSF car might actually be more accurate for being illegible. "Back in the day" those were 1-inch hand cut stencils. By the time you were half way done hand-cutting it, your hand was so cramped up they were almost illegible on the actual car :) Also, the orange NS car was not built by Difco. NS 991899 was built by JK-CO in 2009. The markings you show are a remarkable match for what was applied on the actual car, EXCEPT the dump cylinder stickers with lubrication instructions had the JK-CO logo, not the Difco logo.
Many Atlas Master Line models have metal wheels, but not all of them. Some also have body-mounted couplers, but not all. It would be nice to see them homogenize the lines so that all Master Line models had metal wheels and body-mounted couplers, but changing dozens of models' manufacturing work flow is probably a pretty daunting task.
@@tsgmultimedia seriously I just thought this myself, it's very possible to body mount couplers on Atlas but hey, for $30 u get cheap plastic wheels and horrible truck mounted accumates. Come on Atlas, ger with the times!
I can say by experience these cars are good. Atlas did a good job. The only thing was I had to cut the connector tubes though, (that in real life carry the brake pressure lines) to avoid derailments, but hey, a trivial matter for a great looking car overall.
Hey Rusty I'm 99% certain they ARE the Walthers ones. Atlas bought a bunch of Walthers' tooling within the past year or two. So they're producing former BLMA and Walthers models.

Great video!!!
Thank you!!
I really don't have a lot of N scale equipment and it's rather small for my poor eye sight these days, but these cars are fantastic.
I'm impressed with the side detail. I looks like it would actually dump.
Where does Atlas manufacture their rolling stock? Is it done in NJ, or do they contract it out overseas?
Atlas, like just about every other manufacturer, contracts with companies in China.
John, I thought Atlas Master Line would have metal wheels. What happen to that? If you know

I wasn't going to order any because I thought they were like the Walther's ones. Those look better. Damn now I have to have some.

@@tsgmultimedia I looked at my Walther's one and it had more details than I remembered.
Does it look just like what I showed on the video?
@@tsgmultimedia pretty close. I don't think the lettering is as clear on mine.
Can't see $34.99 for th8s car. More in the low to mid 20's. If they included a decent looking load maybe I'd bite
your motiv is marking the photos badly i wondered what it was at first as you cant see it on a white screen
I have no idea what this means.
@@tsgmultimedia I think it's a reference to the TSG "watermark" logo, in the lower-right corner
@@danmiller782 That would make sense. I never heard of a watermark being called a "motiv."
Still truck mounted,disappointed
To bad they don't actually dump. That would be a great detail
That's not even a detail most would want
I am a person of youtube
