Wonder if Pat Bray knew Hugh Adams (S.P. Engineer out of Indio in 1960s). Used to sneak a ride with him on occasion usually to Yuma or El Centro. A beautiful layout for sure.
I grew up in mostly northern California in the late 60's thru early 80's so SP has always been near to my heart. Beat trains used to pass by my neighborhood in Davis California going north to the Spreckles sugar plant. I live far away now in Virginia but always enjoy an SP fix.
Nice job, Pat Bray. From what I heard you did 44 years? My grandfather did 57 as a rear brakeman/conductor with the LA&SL. Congratulations on your career. Nice layout, too. And thanks to the TSG crew for the video work.
Bridges are normally lined and locked for rail traffic; a vessel calls (usually by radio) the bridge tender and requests an opening, the vessel passes, and the bridge is restored for rail traffic.... but impressive bridge work, nonetheless.
If you are seeing sexual commercials, it's probably because Google has tracked your IP address to sites that show that kind of thing. They curate the ads you see based on what they know about you. If you're seeing that kind of commercial and you do not watch that kind of content, someone else who uses your internet does.
I grew up in Southern California.... You nailed it!

YT states they don't allow inappropriate content. Then why the sexual commercials? Definitely not appropriate for children who watch train videos.
