Yes you noticed, Michael does go into a trance like state, not really knowing what he play'd until listening back to the recording, then he fully understands what he's produced. Simply freaking amazing, nobody comes close to Schenker, he is the Maestro. Good clips Axeflyer don't know how you do it, but keep them coming. CHEERS

The legs are slightly akimbo, the torso motionless. The face is expressionless and etched with deep concentration, gazing fixedly- lost in almost trance-like state - at the pick-ups and fretboard. this is the reason why we love him, this is the best performance i've ever seen, "this tune and melody", it's impossible to describe, you've to feel it if you want to understand MS, i've whole concert and i'm watching it almost everyday :)
This performance by Michael Schenker with UFO is proving to be unique. The jam after Lipstick Traces is unmatched in feeling and intensity, The sound quality of this recording is something very special. My compliments to the sound engineers and UFO.

Never in a million years did I expect to find a live recording of Lipstick Traces (albeit a few years after I saw the band). Totally awesome.

Michael is totally on. If you can put up with the bad vocals of Ray on this show which I can I suggest you pick this video up one of Michael's best performances on tape or I guess DVD now.
It was great that Michael pulled this ole chestnut out of his ass. I rented this vid with/Scorpions, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, (Before they hit it big.) again and again. There was a BTS bit where Michael came out of the hotel room with a bar of soap...like, "See? I'm clean. But this was the END of MSG Mark1. A few years later McCauley Schenker Group and on and on. Great riff about 2:20. beautiful but sad. Props to the 2 guys that filled in. No Gary and No Chris Glenn. End of an era.
Answer to post #1. The track Lipstick Traces is on the UFO Phenomenom album on vinyl. I have a copy. No doubt somebody can turn it into MP3 but it will lost the origanal depth of sound.
In researching Ray I was amazed at his history the guys done everything twice. Including singing for UFO in the early 70,s? or that's what his bio said. Played with Beck wrote a ton of hits it's worth checking out.

big props to Ted McKenna. He got to back both Rory Gallagher and Michael Schenker. Two best guitarists in my humble opinion.
