Diana is a self described introvert and doesn't over promote herself. She's humble and down to earth. She's a young talent with dignity and grace...kinda rare today. It's a part of her charm.
Yes, that is why so many people are fascinated with her. She is a great singer who has an unique voice, a very hard worker and someone mentioned she is a perfectionist. She is beautiful, very, very well mannered, fiercely independent, has a strong sense of community …..and yet she is shy and humble! She also is very funny. She also belongs to the Russian Orthodox Faith (she makes the sign of the Cross before performing) and has this mature positive outlook towards life - many times she has said that if a door closes, an even better one will open.
She is a rare jewel and it’s easy to become her fan.
And no, no invitations from abroad yet! But I know it will happen. She is still very young and very persistent.

Thanks for taking a further interest in Diana Ankudinova and her work. I have seen this interview a few times, as far as I know, you are the only person who has reacted to it. She has done a few interviews but this is the only one from someone in the USA.
Diana is a humble sweetheart and is a very driven individual who works tirelessly to reach her goals. One thing you NEED to know about Diana is her family means everything to her and they are, and always will be the center of her universe.
Not long after that interview, covid hit and put a dent in her plans somewhat, with lockdowns and limited concerts etc. There are a few videos of her singing covers for the fans during lockdown, including "Havana" and "Take on Me", by A-HA. Because of limited funds, fans donated equipment to her so she could record such songs.
These days, she's a 3rd year student at Gitis University in Moscow, where she studies music, singing, acting and dance. Once she graduates, a whole new world will open up to her, especially in acting, which is where she wants to go eventually. She is still a long way off coming to the US, especially with the world such as it is, but she is always progressing forward and developing her skills and quickly becoming better known in Russia as an established artist.
We wish her all the best in her endeavors and will continue to support her in whatever she wishes to do in her life!

There is a good Wikipedia entry about Diana.
She first received singing lessons in the hope that they would help her overcome her speech impediments. she was soon winning every singing competition that the family was able to get to.
The mini-album contained four songs.
Since then, she was given a full album's worth of songs. For free, by someone she didn't know! But Diana didn't have the money to create a record. Diana went online and asked for help. Her fans responded by donating almost two and a half times the needed money.
That album reached "Gold Record" status.
Meanwhile, Diana is currently in her third year at a prestigious performing arts university; along with maintaining a busy concert schedule, TV appearances, interviews, and working on her second album.

Hi Debbie, Thanks for your enjoyable reaction s. Diana (the Queen of Goosebumps) is currently in her 3rd year, studing at the GITIS, which is the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts. She is in the variety dept, doing singing, acting and dancing.
Diana released a song last year called "Revelation " loosely based on her life. She composed the music, wrote the lyrics and plays the ukulele towards the end.
Her first completely original effort.

Diana has recently released her first song that she wrote both the Lyrics and Music. It is called Revelation. It's about her life and I think it's starts where her life and mindset are currently but then the second part goes back to her unfortunate young life. It's a beautiful song. You should also react to10 yr old Diana singing Oh, Darling by the Beatles during a radio interview. It's amazing how much technique she had by 10 yrs old and you could hear the beginnings of her deep tone. Plus, she was absolutely adorable in the video!

Diana is a sweetheart. She did finish her two final years of high school remotely in one school year. She did enter the Russian Institute For Theatrical Arts (GITIS) where she is now a student. She also performs around 15 solo concerts each year to support herself and her retired mother. Pensions in Russia are around $260 per month. Here is another interview she did a year ago at age 18. Like Dimash, you are in for a ride! These two are the greatest of our time and it is a privilege to be alive at a time when we can hear them. I am pretty sure they share they same wide and varied fan base and many of us learn over time that there is actually more going on than their vocal talent and dedication to their craft coupled with some truly great songs. The reason, I believe that we are so moved by them is they “undo” us. The emotional response is immediate and involuntary. It’s almost like been broken hearted but “open hearted” instead. Many have referred to both of them angels or angelic ( Diana perhaps more of a dark angel) 😀 and that is true they really are Angels born among us. But I believe we are all angels born into human existence, the difference with these two is they are not only here to learn and grow like they rests of us, they are high spiritual beings who have chosen a universal language through which their innate purity and beauty can truly shine! And when they do, through the beauty of their song to us, we cannot help but resonate with that purity and experience ourselves in our more expanded universal form. And it is truly beautiful, blissful and healing. Some one once said of these two that the tears are the release of our own individual knots of pain and sorrow we have experienced. When we learn more about their lives, we discover they are genuinely beautiful kind souls that care deeply about others. I have appreciated great music of all genres since childhood and have had singers and bands that I truly admire and enjoyed. But I have never experienced anything like Diana and Dimash. Diana is often in tears after a truly hug performance and look at the face of Dimash at the end of Ave Maria. He is as high as a kite! They give so much purity in their performance that they also experience profound exaltation of the sprit. The reason you respond so beautifully to them is a validation of your own loving heart. Religion and spirituality should primarily of the heart and soul. Diana and Dimash remind us of this every time we hear them. Thank you for allowing us to share your joy.
Diana is in the Russian Orthodox Faith and she has a little altar in her room and she makes the sign of the Cross before major performances. She also believes in angels and has a collection of angels she buys at every city she visits (this is said by her).
What a sweetheart she is. These interviews are really helpful for getting to know artists. We all can hear her sing, but this way we get to know the personality behind the voice. Doing interviews also keeps your channel fresh, mixing it up between them (the interviews) and music reactions. Maybe you could even incorporate some behind the scenes videos of bands backstage at gigs, or in the recording studio goofing around. They're fun to watch too as long as they aren't too long. At that time she was still underage, in the care of her adopted mother and it was difficult to organize studies or concerts abroad. That particular interview is a really excellent one. I'm glad you chose to do that. And you got the first name exact and the second name pretty close. An coo Dee nova. I also suggested maybe you try to find one of her videos where she talks about her early life the difficulty with her birth mother and where she came from. It's very sad, very moving but as we all know the outcome has been wonderful.
You really need to read the Wikipedia bio. She had vocal lessons to start with because she had speech problems. Basically she could sing before she could talk well. Her adoptive family (an Uncle noticed her singing abilities.)

4. In summer 2022, she released her first handwritten work "Together with you" and 3 months later she released her 2nd personal work, lyrics and music (the music part co-authored with Brandon) is called "Revelations".
4. Last February 21, she opened an event in which few artists can perform at Crocus City Hall. Apparently she is the first 20-year-old girl who has participated in this recital. She opened the concert. She was SUPREME performed a song poem which is dedicated to her Motherland Russia.
5. She have many songs dedicated to her Motherland, her people and her national heroes. Perhaps that is why there is a constant blockade in the media. And so that her fame does not burst at last. She is very committed to Russia. Today, when terrible things are happening, nobody in the world of money wants to have trade links with Russia or at least to be publicized. And hiring Diana means respecting her patriotic identity. That causes resentment in the West.
6. Still, we love Diana and nothing anyone tells us will change that fact. We hope in Mexico, that someday, she will make us happy with a concert in our Latin lands. And with songs in Spanish.

Diana does, in fact, love to perform. We might discuss the possible motivations for this, but this is what she constantly says that she wants to do.
With her every performance, she proves the truth of her claims. If you haven't seen her concert videos, you should watch them. She gets genuine joy from each appearance. It doesn't matter if there are five, or five hundred, or five thousand people in the audience. That she is loving what she is doing is easily seen.
Why is this? Well, I have my own, long distance theory: Diana had an unfortunate beginning to her life. When she was adopted, she couldn't speak well.
