Thanks for the comparison. I did compare these two tablets extensively and went for the redmi pad pro. 120hz and the better battery life along with the cheaper price tilted the contest towards the redmi. However i use this just as a media consumption device, and that was the sole intention of buying it. Along with some light gaming.
Interested to see this comparison; I went with the p12 as it was on sale with Pen & Keyboard bundle for $313 last week(in Lenovo's US site). I'm writing this comment on keyboard in PC mode right now! The accessories for the Redmi pad seemed less compelling.
There are some bundle options in Europe for the redmi pad pro. And it’s a newer device which costs about 100€ less than the Lenovo. I think the redmi is the better deal in this price range. For the price of the Lenovo you can buy the iPad 10 th generation
Buying only for windows simulation So pity that Xiaomi doesn't have it( Wanted to buy samsung ultra 9 but its 3 times more expensive than this amazing tablet with almost same, notes, windows simulation, and pen +keyboard With Lenovo apps About iPad i even not talking coz its unbelievably expensive compare with this...
The Pad Pro is the better option. Hardware-wise the Pad Pro has a much better screen w/ 120 Hz refresh rate. Its Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 CPU is also slightly better than P12's Dimensity 7050 CPU. The Pad Pro has a few features missing on the P12: a 3.5 mm jack and support for aptX HD & aptX Adaptive. Software-wise it's a tie. Security updates end for both in June 2027. Price is where the P12 gets its final blow. The Pad Pro is much cheaper in its base 6 GB RAM 128 GB UFS variant and the 6 GB is sufficient for quite some multi-tasking. Because there is no variant with less than 6 GB you can just focus on finding the lowest priced Pad Pro with no worries you could get a base variant that's gimped in this department. Meanwhile, the P12 has an unfortunate base variant with 4 GB RAM 128 GB UFS and that 4 GB is insufficient. Chrome will frequently drop tabs from memory and background apps will frequently be killed by the OS. It's an unpleasant experience if you use the tablet for more than just UA-cam. The 8 GB P12 variants are much more expensive than the base Pad Pro and not worth the money IMO, especially when the Pad Pro exists as an option.
I would like to know about the ability to stream music. I plan on running an external DAC. On the S7-9s I know I can bypass the internal DAC by connecting to the USB C. Do you know if this is possible on these?
@@danmcisaac1601 you can use it with a type c cable and there's a software for lenovo that allows you to use it as 2nd display or you can also share only your keyboard mouse with the tab so you can simply take your mouse pointer to android screen of your tab as you would take it to another screen on a dual screen setup. But trust me you wont be using any of these, dual screen mode or keyboard-mouse sharing mode since its a lot of hassle to set it up, although it works flawlessly once you set it up, just the 12.7 inch screen will look small compared to your laptop screen in screensharing mode. Also I hv only tried it on pc so not sure about macs.
I have a question , Can we connect a wireless 3rd party keyboard and mouse combo through a dongle to USB-c connector to the tab . Because i have purchased the keyboard and mouse combo with a dongle ( reciever ) and a USB - type c connector , so does the tab connect to it or Not ??
They focus more on the poco pad, unfortunately. The Mi Pad 6 just got it recently this year, so it might come at some point, but Xiaomi sure takes their sweet time
One thing i think you forgot to mention is that Lenovo can be connected through usb c to hdmi to a projector etc but redmi pad pro cannot but maybe i am wrong

Do you like the tablet? Is mediatek chip has heat issues, any freezing?
?
Lenovo couldn't just bump the refresh rate to 90hz? cmon man!
Totally that's a deal breaker
Exactly, I was thinking about upgrading from my p11 gen 2 but once I saw 60 hertz refresh rate , nah. I'll keep it.
Get the chinese version, the Lenovo Xiaoxin pad pro 12.7, its 144hz, but i keep it at 120hz, smooth as butter

Display size difference make it hard to decide for me. Wish Pad Pro was 12.4 inch.
I bought poco phone 3 years ago and got the security update so far. Android version stopped at 11. But still its going good
It would be interesting to see a comparison between Lenovo Tab p12 and One Plus pad go!!!
