One of my favorite memories from my noob days was encountering that rude guard at the gate in Loch Moran. I found out that if I did /rude at her, she’d react to it, and I loved that. I was blown away by the immersion.

I LOVED this quest! To me, THIS is what vanilla WoW was all about. It was the very essence of the gameplay philosophy distilled into a single quest. I can't wait to do it again in Classic; even though the surprise of discovering won't be there.
The most memorable quest for me was starting in the searing gorge where you helped a guy who was actually a black drake.
And of course the long questline where you end up revealing Onyxia in Stormwind!
Wait why am I getting a key to get into searing gorge when I have to travel there anyway and am grabbing the flight path. Lol I’m confused
just a cool quest to do to get a locked gate to open, also it awards a gold too, and prolly some xp, and this was a good quest b4 the patch that gave up a fp
update. just finished it. got 9800xp all together maybe a little bit more. thats 2 bars of xp at lvl 50 wich is great
I never quested in searing gorge, although I've played since the release. I'm questing there right now on northdale and holy shit I've been missing out. All the other zones I've been to so many times, bit right now I'm feeling like I'm rediscovering WoW all over again. What a fucking awesome zone.
Keep making these! Watching all now and will be a great resource for the summer!
hey there is this door to the badlands here and you need a key
just go to the badlands so you can go to the searing gorge
do you see how we jump a step there
(now to any one angy here how you do go back up to Thelsamar and follow the lake you should find a way into the badlands at the bottom)

I remember climbing the mountain, to get around the gate, and get into Searing Gorge.

Love this chain and its great XP. Shame Horde dont have an equivalent.

Can you imagine the annoying type of new-style-WoW mentality player thinking "Uuuh all that travelling it's SOOO boring." As if WQs and flying over everything playing the game like some whack-a-mole task simulator isn't boring.
Why does everything out of you "back in my day" players have to be so damn toxic all the time?

@@williamarthurfenton1496 yet one of the reasons vanilla was hard is because of the dumbest way of "Let's just give that think 2-3 more levels, there, now you can't hit it for shits". Or outright making some specs useless (though I did like an obvious concept of "Fire elementals are Immune to FIRE"). From everything I've seen from clssic community, I'd say about 40% of "features" were either bugs, or tech limitations. And raids were a joke. Nothing but a stat/gear check with 1-2 mechanics. Although resistance gear I actually like, and attunement quests, wish they brought them back as "one-time-per-account" quests, you did attunements on one character and then you have a choice of skipping of doing a quest again. Oh one more thing, without transmog you all looked like clowns, people say that it's bad, no it's not, just make it so all apperances are exclusive to each character, meaning you MUST get this particular piece of gear on that exact character to use it as an apperance. Problem solved. Vanilla wasn't PERFECT, it wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't perfect.
