Great video. Just bought a used one in great condition with all the stock spacers and external chokes but no manual. Down loaded a manual but there's no substitue for being shown how to strip and re-assemble. Only fired off a dozen rounds but she cycled flawlessly. The perfect rough shooting gun. Thanks.
just 1 tip guys when i bought mine I asked about lubrication and gunsmith (very respected guy and well known ) told me not to waste money on fancy lubes and to use something like 5w 30 synthetic engine oil and because its a synthetic stock dont be afraid to use plenty ( wont soak into wood ) and it will keep cycling fine, Must admit my 2015 escort magnum 12G synthetic doesn't like loads below 28 Grms, also would suggest if you find you keep missing targets ( in my case pigeons ) do a pattern test, ( piece of ply on a stake with lining paper stapled on with big red dot from marker pen about 2 in wide to aim at, pace off about 25 yds and I used 1/4 choke and put all 3 shots at red dot)I was shooting left and high, there are spacers included in box to adjust cast ( left and right correction ) and drop (vertical )after fitting the correct spacers and retesting she shoots where it should,other than that very pleased after I had heard all the negatives about Hatsan it looks and feels more expensive than the £365 I paid,we'll see how long it bears up pigeon decoying in the winter months, ps 4 chokes supplied with mine imp' modified imp' modified and full

update two months later, after having been out with it about 25 times, I think the " hard chrome " finish is crap ! area on receiver by safety catch where the thumb comes over to push safety off is now down to bare metal and Edgar Bros when contacted about this, class this as Fair Wear and Tear !!! well Edgars news for you ' I dont ! have had a series on loading problems - when last cartridge fired breech should stay open,nope closes up 8 times out of 10,so if you want a quick reload forget it,you have to pull the bolt back to get cartridge in ,not funny when you have that 4th pigeon coming into your decoys,also on several occasions after 1st shot it has jammed up and when u look it has released the 2 shells left in the mag' into the breech and its a sod to free the one that sits on the slide to get them both out,opinion now--unless I can get EB to sort out ( dont hold your breath ) would advise anyone thinking of a semi auto -- u can pick up a nice s/h browning for the same money and get years of trouble free shooting
there is ALWAYS a SWEET SPOT for installing/removing charging handles. Anyway, you should be learned last 3 years time during. :) keep your passion. :)
this is a sweet gun. i had a hatsan slugger wich has the same mechanism. it shoots soft with slugs! real good gun for the money. the only thing is; a lot of plastic in the trigger. but then again, some military guns have that like the h&k g36 german infantry rifle. if you are into shooting clays and skeet, do get this gun, while its the best deal for the money.

for the price it cant be beaten, if you want it for clays/ alittle game shooting get the 3inch chamber model instead of the 3,1/2inch model, from what i heard they cycle clay loads better, Enjoy the escort treat it well and it will last for a long time. Lets us know how you get on with it

My question is:- When the gun is empty and cocked, and you tip the gun forward, do you hear what I presume is the gas piston falling forward and sliding freely? Im just a bit concerned as my Armsan doesnt do this Thanks..
I got one Its got the 24 inch Barrel I like shorter Guns , my only grype is the extended choke tubes , do you know if the flush fitting kind will fit this gun ,, I noticed on older Models the Tubes are flush ,, they look better , V,V,

Hi I brought the escort magnum last week and I took it out Sunday, I let 1 shot off and it cycled fine but it didn't shoot the second or third, any idea what the problem could be?
1/2, will do most things on a english sporting layout, they do come loose so check it between stands, its only a hand tight thread theres no choke key.
extended choke tubes come on the new escort models, dont know if there interchangeable with the older models, give edgar brother a shout they are the hatsan importers for the uk

The release is called a bolt release, not slide release. Auto shotguns do not have slides.

never shot a baikal o/u, but a hatsan can handle any clays that ive shot with it. i use mine more as a rough shoot gun
