Not Minecraft, But Water Rises or Minecraft, But Lava Rises, or any other but challenge like that. This is a speed run / speed runner of Minecraft against a killer / assassin but it is me trying to speed run Minecraft like Dream does, however this is Minecraft, But I used a Tier List to rank all of the updates in Minecraft.
This is very kool

Honestly the best part about 1.17 was the fact that fortune now worked on iron/gold.
I actually didn't know this until a few days ago lmao, I was so used to the idea of each 1 iron ore = 1 iron ingot
But with fortune it just makes it so much more satisying and it improves it so much since iron is used on a lot of items not just armor and tools
YES
Agree
You can just build an iron farm it's becoming easier and easier and the gold is in the nether
@@Al4___ That’s why I’m glad that gold didn’t get superveins unlike copper & iron. It has so many ways to be obtained nowadays.
I didn’t know Minecraft was declining at the time so I honestly loved the world of color update it made building so much more varied and fun
Same here. I started playing Minecraft during 1.5 and just kept on enjoying it during the decline (Mostly because of servers like Hypixel). I still remember getting excited for Aquatic Update though.
Which is why the game was declining, they were focusing on the building aspect of the survival game wayyyy to much
The world of color update was so much fun for me and probably my favorite update, it really got me into building bigger and cooler structures!
It made the wool colours much nicer and became a great platform version for modding that still is used today, but it was very lacking in unique contributions. The last few updates had all felt like 1.15, small updates that didn’t add much, but they took ages to come out unlike 1.15. I’m glad Mojang has stepped up their game with the updates.
@@southernlegends8594 But isn't building the main draw of the game that separates it from other survival games?
The ocean update will always be my no.1 favourite update of all time, back when that came out I really was completely disillusioned with Minecraft, but one day I started a brand new world and immediately fell in love with the game all over again, and I still play through world today several years later.
nether update is my favorite but yeah, when the ocean update came out, minecraft worlds became more alive.
Aquatic came at Mojang's lowest point and redeemed them. It's hard to say any update is better than Nether but if it were to be any, I'd pick 1.13 for sure.
Well I started playing Minecraft after the ocean update so I didn't know the game when it was in its bad state
Ew
I love it too its my favorite update
1.12 was personally my favorite update because I was building a replica of my house at that time but no beds in my house are red so when I found out they would be adding colored beds I was really excited and now it’s very nostalgic for me. Also I don’t think the popularity of the game matters when determining the quality of the updates but that’s just me
Popularity is only important for commercial purposes, Microsoft ruins the game because of their desire for profit
@EOWS 612’s siren productions. why lmao, update shave been much worse and this added the same amount of content as 1.14
same i grew up with 1.10 1.11 and 1.12 and also 1.13 when i was 6 now im ten and look back at the updates that minecraft has made over time
@@lindseymccoy1633 same I grew up with 1.9 but after 1.12 the updates are changing the game just too much and they also make old things like enchanting useless
@@sunnyMK69 Well I started with 1.8, when the combat system was totally different. I honestly still don't really like the new one.
I can’t believe that the elytra has been around since 1.9. It just has that newer-update feel to it.
yeah i feel old
But it first actually got useful in 1.11.2 because before you couldn’t fly with rockets
1.15 was a game-changer for redstoners, as it added the honey block, a sticky block like slime, but wouldn't stick to slime, and could pull along entities. this allowed for much cooler machines like the 10x10 piston door. you should've put that one in best as well, because including the bugfixes it was decent, including this as well it was best tier
Only a small percentage of Minecraft players make complicated redstone contraptions, the majority of the players never use honey blocks
@@jethrobreek8340 well they're missing out, with honey blocks i've seen walking giant robots that shoot tnt, and that would be pure pain without honey blocks
And the target block
Yeah, 1.15 and 1.19 Have one thing In similar, they were Updates that didn’t almost do anything except helping Redstone a lot
@@rigboy1234 1.11 added observers
In my opinion the aquatic update was the beginning of the greatest updates that would change and make the game amazing forever like the village and pillage or caves and cliffs update
agreed
it is the update that saved minecraft from being dead
I think of 1.13-1.14 as being the beginning of the age of “modern” Minecraft
I think my favorite update by far was the nether update along with the aquatic, those were probably my most nostalgic memories with minecraft
If those were your most nostalgic memories with Minecraft, then you've gotta be like 8. Those updates weren't that long ago dude.
@@harrisonczichas4341 dude, just because those were my most nostalgic memories doesn't mean I'm 8. I'm just saying quarantine brought me some good times, and I started playing minecraft literally around when console edition first came out, please think before you say these childish things, I still get massive nostalgia from 1.6-1.12, I just didn't think the updates were as good. That's all. Great memories tho, the times of building cities and playing survival for hours on end
Aquatic and nether yodate being nostalgic to you makes ME feel old
I remember the time when minecraft came out on phones
@@mrloleno so do I lol, am I not allowed to feel nostalgia towards those versions?, I still have the old stonecutter in one of my old worlds
@@WolfKing25 don’t worry bro, I understand what you mean. I was there for the first mobile ports and Xbox 360 console edition, and I still feel nostalgic towards village and pillage and nether update. 2019-2020 were some of the best years of my life imo. Quarantine was honestly so fun for me and 1.16 definitely contributed
Fun fact: the warden actually has more health than the ender dragon and wither combined also it can two hit you with a full set of non enchanted netherite
Bedrock wither is a different story...
@@RandomInternetPerson01 ironically the warden still beats the crap out of the wither even in bedrock
@@matplayer1232 The warden does win, but if you put warden like within the explosion range of the wither spawning, the wither wins
@@matplayer1232 like close, but if it's like at the farthest it's a tie
@@RandomInternetPerson01 interesting to hear that
I just wish you went over a lot more of the middle updates such as 1.7 which added quite a few biomes and overall made the overworld a lot less repetitive. I think also updates such as world of color added a lot to Creative. 1.9 added a lot of other updates besides just elytra's and combat changes. Overall I just wish you went over everything to make your opinions rather than picking specific things to focus on but that would make the video quite long so I guess I understand why you did it.
1.7 definitely did a lot more than he gave it credit for. Like you said, biomes became significantly less repetitive, and way more than just the Savanna was added. Mesa, Mega Taiga, Birch Forest, Flower Meadows, and many more variants of existing biomes were added.
Honestly the only thing bad about it was how it removed Roses.
6:14 The reason this is my favorite update of all time is because without it, the nether is hot garbage. It introduced 2 new wood types, netherite, new mobs and overall made the game much better.
Agreed
Agreed, hope they make some changes in the end as well!
very true, good one 😂
@@razvanstanescu337 we hope..
its the kind of update mojang should try to make instead of promising a ton of stuff and having to release 3 underhwelming updates
I’d change some of the ranking:
1.18 in best instead of decent - even though the update was split in part and the main part of the update was delayed, the wait was still worth it as this was the greatest change to the overworld’s generation since worlds became infinite. it was a monumental update
1.7 in best instead of ok - added so many new biomes and so many new blocks, along with tons of dev features and various tweaks. very major especially compared to the previous update, 1.6. it’s called “The Update That Changed The World” for a reason
1.12 in meh instead of bad - while it was kind of disappointing, it was kind of a polishing update in terms of smaller features, and is still being used for mods to this day for a reason
1.4 - not changing the position, just saying it was more important than you said because it added command blocks, which would change the game forever
1.17 deserved it, was so useless
@@flintfrommother3gaming i didn’t mention 1.17
@@Legority Oops, I accidentally read 1.7 as 1.17, sorry.
I thought command blocks were added in 1.3?
1.13 and 1.14 as well as 1.16 will always be my favorite update.
1.13 changed how ocean works, as well as introducing the conduit power, which makes the ocean monument more easier to explore, adding drowns is clever idea and makes the update more fun to explore, shipwrecks and buried treasure is fun to find too! Trident is cool idea and perfect for farming for bedrock players!
1.14 is basically buffed the villagers hard! The fact that you can get any job types villagers u want is good enough, but the fact if u want mending, protection 4, etc is also possible without using the nerfed enchanted table, raids makes it easier to farm emeralds and if you get a victory, villagers give you discount. Who doesn’t like discounts? Changing the texture definitely doesn’t make the game look as old as it looks.
1.16 introduced netherite, which is fantastic, I’m tired of people bragging about diamonds. netherite is harder to find, gives knockback resistance as well as its resistance to burning, no need to cry losing ur gear and tools anymore after dying in lava once you get those great netherite. The update introduces two new wood types which definitely help a lot if u ran out of wood in the nether, piglin trading is such a blast, I love it.
The new blocks looks wonderful as well.
These updates definitely brings me back to minecraft.
These are my 3 favorite updates! This was probably my favorite era Minecraft. I didn’t play as much after 1.17 after not liking how to cave generation worked. they should add a feature so you can generate worlds with the old system
@@elliedsn2933 Just generate some spawn chunks in an older version.
@@dumigamez397 if you mean by playing an older version, then I can’t since i play on console
@@elliedsn2933 Do you have legacy console or are you a newer player?
No. I play the bedrock version on Switch.
1.12.2 was good for the variety and quantity mods available to play.
My favorite is probably 1.14. I've always loved building custom villages and the different professions and behaviors added really help them seem more alive.
Plus being able to scam villagers for thousands of emeralds with sticks and rotten flesh is pretty cool too.
*Update:* Literally introduces a whole new dimension
This Guy: *I'm gonna put it in the okey*
Bruh it was the first official version of the game, he said ,,ok,,
Bro , if you are not a builder or explorer you will never understand how great is 1.12 , i know in that time wasn't the best update but if this was going to be add now will be a better update , do even played on this versions on just hear rumors from twitter about this
i know glazed terracotta are some of my favorite blocks
@@coolbluetunes9885 i use 85% concrete on my buildings , just imagine what will be Minecraft now if this update never existed
it could have been part of a bigger update like 1.13 lol no reason to waste a version number just for new blocks
@@JashXD At least it's not like 1.6 which really was a failure, that could have been part of 1.8 along with 1.7 . 1.8 was a good version. besides what connection would 1.12 , an update for building have with 1.13 an update for ocean . a friendly advice, from now on think and check some sources of information before writing a comment, if you don't have own experience like veterans like me who play from 1.4 , at least inform yourself a bit from other sources .
@@skrillZUPOLARCOINS4599Parjol bro 1.17 added the command to make it so you can pick how many players are needed to skip night how tf is that related to caves and cliffs 💀
as someone who enjoys exploring a lot, the 1.18 update is No.1 with the 1.17 and 1.19 being bonus to it.
the fact that the caves and mountains look beyond what i would ever expect from mojang, blew my mind. i have no reason to not love 1.18 and its associated updates.
although a lot of people are going to be confused as to why you havent put 1.19 below "Bad" as its the most hated update for a variety of good reasons.
the aquatic update and the nether update are both also very high on my love list, the rest are pretty ok, but nothing that stands out to me.
maybe the village and pillage update, but i never cared for the "caveman squidwards" but the crafting tables are a nice touch for the crafting aspect of the game 💜
i also enjoy exploring, and yet i usually don't go over 10000 blocks. you know what would be really sick? structures that generate 100 thousand blocks away. that take several minecraft months of journey to complete. sort of like woodland mansion type stuff. but i digress
The nether update will always be the best update of all time. I was hoping that the caves and cliffs update would overtake it but nothing new and exciting was really added. Copper is useless and like you said, optifine makes spyglasses useless. The warden was also extremely underwhelming as you get nothing as a reward from him or the deep dark. If the deep dark had amazing loot that he was guarding it would be different but there’s nothing.
the caves are much cooler now and more fun to explore. Also i don't undrtsand how spyglasses are useless. There's probably been mod for every update (like optifine) but adding them to vanilla minecraft doesn't make them useless
1:00 minecraft is so simple game that even learning a language is unnecessary
4:50 This was one of the best updates in my opinion. As a creative player I had wanted more colors for a long time. I wish builders and creative mode players werent always forgotten
“Hey, frogs die if they eat firefly”
“Oh ok, we just remove this cool ambiance boosting animal”
“Or just make frogs not eat the-“
“Shhhhh…”
Imagine 1.20 would be the end update? If the caves, oceans, the villages and the nether are getting updates, wouldn't it make sense for end to be next?
that would be pretty cool, or maybe them adding a new dimension entirely would be awesome, maybe an ender dragon buff, or hell what if the end wasn't the end? since i have a suspicion there are going to be new dimensions soon, since one of the old achievement name for killing the ender dragon was "the end?"
@@oof8493 I also kinda wanna have a mini boss in the nether
The End don't really need an update..
@@oof8493 The achivement for the dragon ''The end?'' Was here since the beginning of minecraft, Also Mojang confirmed that they won't add a new dimesion to the game.
@@adamlolbonus4977 the ender dragon needs a buff tho
Dude, the 1.12 update was actually okay.
The colors in the update are more vibrant and people wouldn't be able to build good statues and pixel art. Who doesn't use colored beds, vibrant concrete and different hues of wool, especially in creative?
The game is a survival game not a building game.
@@southernlegends8594 no it’s a sandbox game
@@enkvadrat_ nope, the game was founded as a survival game and has lost sight of its original purpose which is why it is dying.
@@southernlegends8594 loots of people play creative
@@southernlegends8594 tbh, beds are still one of the main icons of minecraft blocks, and you think people don't use colored concrete, beds or wool as decor to their house or memorials? Imagine if the Technoblade statue was colorless.
I completely agree, but I'd switch 1.8 and 1.9. Honestly, 1.8 was very lackluster, and 1.9 added a pretty big amount of content.
I don't really remember anything about 1.8 other than Ocean Monuments
@@ibrahimtuna375 slime blocks, banners, armor stands I remember it as if it was yesterday. Was really excited when this update came out
1.9 completely divided the community and servers bad update
@@flauntinggg2w812 The divide of the community was a side-effect. I think the update was good, but what it did to the community was unfortunate.
@@emillambrigger bro it added the most unbalanced item, elytra, and also ruined the final boss fight
I started minecraft around 1.8.something I guess and didn't really play much again until the aquatic update, when the game really started picking up again. Although I lost the original world I started on, the memories are eternal. The only other update that really felt that good to me was the nether update.
Why 1.11 should be best: It added a new feature to firework, and you can now craft 3 fireworks instead of 1.
I think it is the best update for late game
Yeah 1.11 was so underrated
1.11 is A tier just for shulker boxes and rocket powered elytra
I think they should do what they’ve kinda been doing recently with the updates. 1.14 was huge, 1.15 small, 1.16 huge, 1.17 small, 1.18 big and 1.19 kinda small. They shouldn’t try to make every update larger than life, because they will eventually run out of ideas and previous ideas will have to be scrapped.
it cool seeing smaller youtubers, cant wait to see what you do in the future!
MamasmsmsmamssmasmsszzzzmzzzzzzmMmm
i kinda get a lil jealose but ok i dont hate him ok pls dont start a war now
@Swapan Das we won't
5:20 my man really forgot Turtles.
1.11 introduces illagers and they're my favorite type of hostile mob so i'd say it's ok
1.11 was such an underrated update. Yeah llamas are kinda mid, but woodland mansions were and still are one of the coolest structures in the game.
Shulker boxes completely revolutionized item transportation, and made end cities actually useful beyond getting an elytra. I guarantee you wouldn't see nearly the types of structures people have built in the game without them.
There was also 1.11.2, one of the best minor updates to the game, adding the ability for elytras to be propelled by rockets, again revolutionizing transport, and iron nuggets, which would eventually be used in lanterns.
And I'm totally not biased because I was at Minecon when they introduced 1.11 yeah definitely not
While 1.12 didn’t add much to the base game, in my opinion it’s still one of the best versions for mods only being beaten by 1.8
1.7.10 best for mods
@@kire929 how do you find mods for 1.7? When I look for mods they are almost always for the new versions
@@awagnow I don't know, haven't played true mods since before 1.10 release
The fact that we had to wait 15 updates for a " boss ". I put quotes because there is no boss health bar but the warden IS a boss

Correction: 11 updates, the Elder Guardian (Added Release 1.8) is classified as a boss.
@@FusionCyborg if i remember correctly, doesn't that one drop like a sponge or some shit?
dude 1.12 was THE best version ever, especially for low-end system users like me. Like, 1.13 did not even work on my old laptop and i was stuck and grew in love with that update. Its still used to this day for the biggest 1.9+ servers and its still good!
5:05
That pink sheep in the background lmaoo
3:32 Adventure update was beta 1.8, the release 1.8 update is called bountiful update
The nether update will never be topped as the best update of all time. By far the most exciting time to be a player.
1.13 1.14 and 1.16 were such good updates, and 1.15 wasn't that bad, it added a cute new mob and it added a little bit of ambience plus for restoners they got a new sticky block that was incompatible with slime which is really cool, over all, best best string of four updates
I absolutly love 1.14, and I don't know why but the new villages, the new villager skins and the new cat breeds are of my favorite things today.
1.14 was my favorite update in my opinion it gave even more reasons to enslave and expoit and get those SWEET PROFITS! And also a guess a way to farm totems and emeralds through raids! And I love the texture update they did the game really did need new textures I don’t know how we survived with the Old Netheracck texture
I love 1.9. While yes, I can no longer auto click to kill every mob in a 20 block vicinity, it now means that combat is actually skillful. And not CPS. Many people also hate shields, and I can absolutely see why. But sucks to suck, I only play multiplayer with my buddies. So, maybe that's why. But still.
it doesn't suck to suck. it sucks to sit in front of someone as they hold right click and become inpenitrable. however, the pve is so good compared to 1 - 1.8. as someone who doesn't focus on pvp, the 1.9 update was one of my favorites. just picture yourself using a sharp V netherite sword and clicking twice on 95% of mobs to insta kill them
@@jkeebla Yea ig like i said tho, I dont play servers like hypixel where u have stuff like skywars, bedwars, etc and its reliant on PVP, i just play multiplayer server with my friends
I remember playing 1.9 was my first minecraft version dude memories and I didn't play it after all then I came back in 1.19 and I was completely shocked everything changed 180 degrees
1.6 update is the best because it was before Minecraft became so complicated. What made Minecraft special to me was how simple it was.
I love all the updates, especially Redstone because I love Redstone, and spend weeks, or even months making Redstone contraptions
As someone who really only played minecraft recently but has watched a lot of minecraft youtube previously. I have to say after trying 1.9 vs 1.8 combat, 1.9 is just more fun, especially for pve. And no axes are not a better weapon than the sword.
Peak of my life and happiness was 1.12 update, I hold it dear to my heart.
same
I mostly play with mods nowadays and on 1.12.2 cuz my PC is not that good
7:20 Polar Bears, Parrots, Pandas and Axolotls, yes there is a pattern about endangered species.
The biome and structure update needs to be next.
I was really annoyed when they didn’t update dungeons or mineshafts in 1.17 they really needed it.
Each underground biome should have a new structure, the deep dark already has one but it could do with a mining outpost where you find lots of resources. The deep dark is really dangerous and it’s not very practical to search for ores to mine as they’re often covered with sculk blocks. If you could find ores in big piles pr and n chests in a certain structure guarded by shriekers it would be a cool alternative.
The dripstone caves could have a new dungeon structure filled with pitfall traps or something. The lush caves could have something like a lost outpost of the people who built the strongholds.
Above ground biomes need to be rehabilitated again. Biomes need specific plants and tree varieties.
Different variations of existing trees could be created.
And for the love of god update desert and jungle temples.
Jungle villages with an ancient pyramid in the center would be really cool, like a resettled Aztec city or something.
1.21 is probably the end update then 1.22 will be the sculk dimension.
actually deep dark is good for xp, but yeah MINING OUTPOSTS
cant wait for minecraft updated updated update tier list
maybe once 1.22 or 1.23 releases lol
The fact that 1.5 wasn't put on the highest tier is criminal. The other updates are literally not comparable to it.
Also, 1.9 combat > Pre-1.9, and that is not subjective
ikr
1.1 is the best update minecraft ever had
sheep eating grass to regain wool
blacksmith chests
apples from oak leaves
bow enchantments
superflat worlds
walking on farmland dont covert it to dirt
and hilly terrain are core minecraft features and you failed to recognize the significance of this update
Honestly I think that the 1.19 update was a very good update, I think the main reason that it got poorly received is because they just came out with two of the biggest updates ever, being the nether update and the caves and cliffs. So since it wasn't as big people thought nothing was in it. Also I think Mojang has to stop giving promises and just act like they never said them.
no it's cause they have been promising so much and haven't delivered, they've also been lying to the community about what features they will add
Plus they keep not adding what they say they will, and don’t add anything useful to the game. Still waiting on a purpose to copper and amethyst.
If I didn't like Polar Bears i would think 1.10 is a mistake and a 0/10, but i do like them so is just a 2/10 from me.
Also 1.10, 1.11, 1.12 should have merged into the "Random things should be in Minecraft but don't deserve their own update, update"
Hey I loved the video! I would personally rate the redstone update at the top as it brought rise the the OG Minecraft days and some of the most influential redstoners who taught all the noobs about automation and game mechanics. Mumbo Jumbo to this day is one of my favorite UA-camrs because of how great he was at presenting his tutorials. I think the update did more to shape Minecraft as a whole than the other ones did just because of how influential redstone has been in the game and community.
I remember how pissed I was about the minimal changes to combat that 1.8 made compared to 1.7.10… and then came along 1.9 💀
If I remember correctly 1.8 removed block-hitting, which was rightly removed because it is way too OP
Fun Fact: The warden isn't strong
How: Spawn as much iron golems like 10+ and will kill it fast
So what is "strong"
Something that CAN kill 10+ iron golem?

Fun Fact: The Image he used for 1.8 was actually for Beta 1.8, not Release 1.8.
yeah i didn’t catch that lol
Great video! My list would probably look the same. Keep it up!
thanks
Nether update is nostalgic to me now a really good update and when I played Minecraft the most (COVID)
Really good video! Love the editing!
thanks
1.16 has to be my favorite. I really like it. Minecraft wouldn't be "minecraft" if we didn't get it. Same goes for 1.13 and 1.14 but those revamped parts of the world not a whole dimension
The only good thing about 1.12.2 is that it has the best mods.
But that's not because 1.12.2 is good, but because 1.13 is bad and ruined everything... about mods

"Minecraft was in its peak in it's olden days in minecraft 1.6.2" I feel old now
same
1.18 needs some more love because they completely made new possible ways to use shaders and made and the caves is literally a dream the deepslate is so good for other builds and makes this update my favorite one 1.19 could've been improved but overall 1.19 is a great update in my opinion
Let's be real honest all the update was really good if we remove every update except S tier it would also be a little bit boring it is the little things that make Minecraft fun except the combat update
I just realized that the nether trees are actually mushrooms
I love the fact that he is just calm and shows no emotion, btw good video
worst update now is 1.19.1. WHY DID MICROSOFT ADD BANNING
idk it’s dumb
When i started playign minecraft i saw the spalshtext that said "dont look at the bugs" and thought there was ants in the grass or something
There’s a magic world called bedrock edition where spam clicking still exists and axes are still awful…
Do you like bedrock edition?
@@v1n_editz2706 love it
@@Thecoolestfrog bad for redstone though
@@enkvadrat_ Yes, yes it is
In mid 2019 that's when minecraft became popular again and 1.14 revived it with the new textures and villagers
yeah
What about 1.19.1 the update with the report feature (the update that ruin mincraft completly)
i made this before they announced it
@@G1zzmo82 oh
@@G1zzmo82 where would u put it then?
@@Roi184 probably SUPER NIGHTMARE
1.13, 1.14 and 1.16 were all high points for the game. Caves and Cliffs was good but the fact it was separated into 2 updates and had to have a lot of it’s features moved to 1.19 really ruined it… and we still have features like bundles and archaeology missing.
I think the fact that Mojang has not delivered on some promises features has ruined the recent updates. I believe that 1.20 should just be one big catch-up update where they catch up on all those missing features, so when 1.21 comes around we can really enjoy and appreciate all its new features.
1.13 made it too laggy
1.14 made getting op armor too easy
great video keep it up 🧡
this is how a a tier list video should be made
thanks
10/10 content
thank you
@@G1zzmo82 you deserve it
World of color should’ve been either meh or ok. Builds wouldn’t be the same without it and the parrots are kinda cute :3
Actually, I'm gonna be real, I like 1.12 and dislike 1.13.
1.12 cause of mods and shit, it's the second most popular for mods and imo the best version for mods cause that was before big big updates rolled in
1.13 because it's just...icky in my opinion. The game just felt...wrong to me, it's a strange bias to have but eh, I have it.
Holy shit, holy shit.
Holy shit, holy shit.
You gave 1.15 a good score. It also helps that it was exactly what was promised. It wasn't a big update, but a bug fixing one, and that's what it was.
I agree with you on 1.12 being better than 1.13
Mojang announced that 1.20 will add a new dimension (according to camman18)
