- Hello and welcome to our new season on the Hyper Neo Geo 64!
Today we are going to be showing off Beast Busters : Second Nightmare! It's one of my favorite horror "lightgun" games of all time and definitely a great experience to be had.

When I was maybe 11 I went to Diversey Rcok and Bowl here in Chicago and they had this game in their arcade. I was shocked, I had never heard of this game. Unfortunately I didn't get to play it for long and completely forgot about this game until this moment.
Oh man Diversey Rock and Bowl had one?
Yep! Used to play Carnevil there all the time. Matter of fact, I DEFINITELY liked going there for the Arcade more than the bowling. This must have been like 2004-2005 because they had turned their Arcade into a dining lounge/bar by the time I was in like 7th grade.
Weirdly I’ve never been and I drive right by it bringing my wife to work
Suprisingly this game was ahead of it's time and sadly so far no one has replicate its gameplay.
It’s an awesome game that sadly is very obscure. But hey at least this capture exists!

Arcades outside of America still thrive. Sadly in the US it’s been pretty quiet arcade wise.

Haha thanks. Lemme tell you it wasn’t easy. Full JAMMA conversion, wire up a flight stick, throw in a framemeister AND a capture device. It’s a crap ton of headache lol

Video Game Esoterica Well worth the effort I’d say, given what a rarity it is; it’s always nice to see obscurities well documented. Would a full playthrough of this be on the cards? It’s cool if not, but I figured I’d ask just in case~

After the neogeo era ended the new snk has been piss poor at taking care of their IPs but it was kinda unexpected of them to make BEAST BUSTERS featuring KOF for ios,android, it was removed back in 2015 from the playstore but apks can of course be found floating around.
Yeah the Beast Busters iOS game made zero sense lol

I would love to see SNK do digital rereleases of their HNG64 stuff on modern platforms. I'm assuming they never got to the stage where they were negotiating with third parties to develop games for the platform which is why there's a lack of hardware documentation.
