casually listens in the background 3:01:40 hearing my voice 😳 for some reason I still doubt it, but I had that exact sansa model at that time. that's my cadence when speaking into the void and I also got that Ahoi-hoi thing going for all my life.
I had one of those. Literally that exact one, same 256MB, same blue. I think they only came in blue, silver, and pink. Mine worked perfectly fine with drag and drop on XP, no driver disc installation necessary, so maybe it's a Mac issue. Traded up for a 2GB Sansa Clip. Loved that thing, and I'm like 2 Jame-o gingers away from buying one on eBay at any given point in time. Eventually I upgraded from the Clip to a 4GB 2nd gen Shufflé. Loved it, but hated iTunes and went back to the Clip for the radio and screen, and the ability to charge and listen to music at the same time. SanDisk made good nuggets. Reliable, affordable, and respectable nuggets.
thanks for putting your videos up in this format. i been having it rough & ive had the absolute treat of dankpods being the background to my life for the past 4 hours. 20 mins to go.
4:21:23 I have _several_ questions: 1. Why is the mom looking on with such glee and touching the screen? Is she just that excided about what the old man had on his farm? Did she have her Tim Tams before she plugged in the USB? Is it a _touch screen_ 4:3 knockoff NEC monitor in 2006? 2. Why is she using the keyboard with her right hand, but not even the arrow keys? She's actively typing _letters_ (X, C, and V, it looks like) while pointing at the screen. Does the software not support the massive mouse, and only supports massive keyboards? Look at those absolute units! That mouse is making my hand cramp sympathetically. 3. What is the "Kid-Tough™ FP3 Player" resting on? It's slightly elevated. Is it resting on the coiled, unused mouse cord? 4. Are the keyboard and mouse wireless? They don't seem to have any cords. 5. Why is the software in full screen? Is that just how it runs? 6. Why is the PC in a horizontal configuration _next to_ the monitor, when the point of having it horizontal is to sit the monitor on top to save desk space? I hate. Angery.
Oh hey that Siemens is using a somewhat rare type of colour LCD which, instead of having colour subpixels, messed with the polarisation of the liquid crystal to produce 3 or 4 colours in an otherwise normal monochrome construction. It's such a hack, but also pretty historically cool.
3:17:20 The battery cell is completely cooked, get James to solder in a new one if you want to suffer those earbuds. I've used similar ones way back, might actually be worth repairing as their level of noise and loudness is absurd. They have funny **AND LOUD** pairing noises too.
3:43:49 For those who don't know: that guy is Anton Fig, the guy who actually plays the drums in Kiss' "I Was Made For Lovin' You", "Shandi" and all songs from the "Dynasty" and "Unmasked" records, even though Peter Criss appeared on the covers and still was a member of the band
x'D Wade was rescuing "the boys" from the FP3 at 4:28:14 and went "do do do DO, do do do" and my brain ACTIVATED bc that's the theme song to my favorite tv show
You know, I had a bootleg nano. It was in like 2021, it was really nice. It had a SPECTACULAR interface like I genuinely loved it! I put 4 albums on it. Folklore, evermore, and lover by Taylor swift. And riot, by Paramore.

1:03:50 That's not too bad actually. Just align the overhanging transparent flat of the screen with the contacts and put the rubber contact strip there. The white layer of the screen faces the PCB and it looks like the contacts and overhang go up top. If you clip it together with the rubber band in place and a new battery, the clock should spring back to life.
3:09:25 Well, if you're really desperate , I can get such a Shrek Watch going and send it back for free, though the NL is far to ship such a silly thing. It's much easier than the GBX/D-1/200 watches or F91-W-like B640s, like your yellow Garbage Time monster. Of which I have fully disassembled, even modified and successfully re-assembled 4, all of which still work. But it's easy enough for a James to do too and you have plenty of spares to shrek.
the videonow cd player ep came up in my binge of this the same day i spent my 6am shift watching (mostly listening) to spongebob with my coworkers while working on balloon orders. we'd honestly really enjoy portable spongebob....
Honestly, since theres a fair bit of quality buds here, even walmart's generic "onn." bluetooth earbuds which cost 10 USD, sound surprisingly good. I wouldn't do any music production on them, but they're genuinely good enough to listen to music on, at least by my standards as a musician
Thank, and also screw you for sharing all the amazing bits us poor people have missed so far. Can't wat to have the disposable income to send you a few bucks!
I wish that in the US we had more easily available Tim Tams, because the only time I've ever tried them they were better than all of the american chocolate I'd ever had
The worst part was him saying Shrek 2 was only just okay when it's clearly the best of the series. Also the hitclips are SO nostalgic. I'm autistic and tend to like only certain chunks of songs and those were perfect for me and went on sale a lot so a lot cheaper than buying a whole cd for one song. I swear i had one you could plug headphones into.
Found a smart nugget with 3.5mm aux aka Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 pro, 's flooded with bloatware but after a bit of cleanup I love it more than the flagship smartnugs.
You lucky bastard, how dare you have Lipton tea on supermarkets, we don't have those benefits here! Only in the local Hungry Jack's...Which is called BK.
WHY DOES THE MARMITE HAVE A RED LID??? The UK Marmite has a yellow lid! And a red banner behind the white name! Indeed very much like Vegemite! Like... blue and red? What? Why??

It was bound to happen at some point. There are only so many nuggets and his fanbase keeps growing
