Ghanaians in general are polaritc in thinking and not able to see a bigger picture. This is a primary obstacle that citizens of Ghana have to face, acknowledge and deal with .
You have to be objective if you need to make progress. His interview skills are not the best . There is a lot of room for improvement . Unless you want to settle for mediocrity.
Andy please try and get hold of Braimah Issaka, one of the June 19, 1983 escapee, and seek his version of events. He resides in the United Kingdom as well.
something i don’t get is what was the main reason for these coups??Hardship in Ghana??FOH shit is worse in Ghana now than back in those days i’m very sure about that
As a country, why are we wasting fine brains like Cpt Awuni's? He is not a politician but he has the country at heart and he can champion changes in national attitude!!! Who would bring him on board in government?
Rawlings was interviewed in South Africa few months ago,he said the same thing too wasn’t actually a coup was just a protest against hardship in Ghana.I wasn’t born then so i ain’t really sure about how bad things were
Gyekye Appiah Kubi my question is if Rawlings and his men committed all all these crimes why is he still keep celebrating june 4th and walking around a free man??
I like the demeanor of captain Awuni. He was just doing his just as a millitary officer, not interested in coup matters, but he was nearly poisened, based on his first interview. That is what has made me so sad. He was even later retired from the millatary. All the best Joe Awuni.
He was not defending the country, he was the defending the status quo. He fought as a soldier and died as a soldier. As we said in French, qui règne par l’épée, meurt par l’épée. This was bunch of soldiers shooting at each other. End of story.
I have heard and saw the interviews with some the key players of the Ghanaian June, 4th Revolution and l am inclined to conclude that it was a Revolution without a blueprint, direction and purpose for the development of the country but a couple of officers that were power thirst racked with full of intrigues and hate for each other was at play at the expense of the nation, pure and simple, which never accounted for a step forward but two steps backwards for the country and Africa as at then and perhaps now.
Yes, no blue print, no direction! However, all the various leadership after 1966 failed to give a build print or direction for the nation and this resulted in a reaction from the military without thinking through the consequences of their immature behaviour and actions. Period.

Hi Andy Thank you for bringing such a big brain like this man for interview, please try to bring Akatapore and ask him if he did gave the judges killers the uniform they wore to killed them. Because he lied on his previous interview saying he knew nothing about it. Thank you Andy for your great job
Why people still afraid to tell the truth? Town council collapsed when agroup called militia form by J.J control over all the country. It's JJ military regime has brought Ghana to where it is today. In 1981 Ghana railway was operating fully, it's bad governance of the then pndc military regime collapsed it.
But Captain, you should write a book. Meanwhile I've been searching everywhere for Matthew Adabuga's book and I can't find it anywhere. HE can publish more copies and sell it on Ebay? Meanwhile, I think Rawlings too has written a book to be released after his death.
Andy as a lawyer is lazy with detail .How can you refer to Odartey Wellington as a Major ? Capt Awuni corrects him says “ Brigadier General “ and Andy says “ Brigadier” ?
This program is about finding fault with Rawlings. Rawlings was not perfect but not a monster. He did so much for mother Ghana. Stop the campaign to discredit him.
What did he do for Ghana ? Apart from getting a big loan from the World Bank which dictated to him ?These are the same things he was criticising out of ignorance and had people executed for ? Nsawam Cannery ,Abacha s money he took ?

@Jayce Koda yup, been using Flixzone for since november myself =)

why is everyone hating on Andy’s interview skills ???The guy’s doing an amazing job

Captain Baba Awuni, a real soldier to the core
What major war was in ,to make him a real warrior, beating Markolar women naked ?
Dear Capt. Awuni (RTD), What else could 'let the blood flow mean'? Please explain.

Not one bullet was fired

The essence of the interview was overturned. What a smart brain awuni has!
What does it mean? Pndc destroyed Ghana, and it has caused us up to this day.
J.J used sugar coated words to deceive them, because he was half -casse. They thought they have seen Jesus. That's why he was called junior Jesus.
