Good job Andy this is something I have heard from my infancy and now got the chance to see them through your good work done and to the point I have learnt a lot...I am just 1991 born
You and Adabuga allowed Rawlings to play his usual ethnocentric cards on you. It's a pity to know how loyal and hardworking our northern brothers are ONLY to be betrayed and looked down upon.
Keep this in mind , those soldiers back in the days became smart due to their experience ... You won't get the exact truth but expect a 60% facts of truth.. they are smart and have rehearsed what to say all overall these years... Rawlings has to face interview.. he is outsmarting Ghanaians
I also most appreciate learning of this part of Ghanaian history. The interviewer does need to take time to improve his interviewing skills, seriously, and with respect. South Africa.
thanks so much brother it is some years now but i am watching this in 2024 and it has opened my political eyes about some evil people in this country. Thanks very much bro
These interviews have been so eye-opening. and informative. How tragic that J.J. Rawlings succumbed to that very addictive scourge of politicians...Power-Lust & Corruption. However I admire Captain Awuni's for his willingness to sustain such close scrutiny here and believe he truly is a man of that commodity found very rarely these days..."INTEGRITY." May he Live Long & Prosper! ~Krobo from Trinbago

This man Capt. Awuni still has good things to offer to the nation. The president should offer him something to do. He is pragmatic and a real a genuine leader. He can be good example to the young ones.
The interviewer is being very agnostic towards his guest and highly disrespectful. With all of his preconceived ideas, he should not have invited Rtd Captain Awuni to his show.

I remember very well when there was an announcement made several times for Baba Awuni to report at PNDC HQ.People who knew Baba considered him as a loyal, brave and very respectable officer. I admire his modesty!
I do agree agree with you bam... I said that in the first segment. The way he phrases the questions need some training and improvement. Although he tries his best to bring such men of honor if I could say so...
Haha, anytime you are in Accra something happens. this man was really smart and dangerous (i admire him), no wonder he was chased out by Rawlings. seriously speaking a lot of things happened during Rawlings era but we needed it at that time. Ghana wouldn't have enjoyed stability at that time without Rawlings attitude.

I have watched this interview over and over again !! Andy doesn’t seem to understand how the military works!! It’s so pathetic to hear his ignorance on issues and not following issues . Captain Awuni has shown how fine a soldier should be !! And yet still people are saying he is hiding what? This is 2024!! Hope Andy has learnt much since then !!!
I am still interested in hearing from Mr Matthew Adabuga. I really like and love his styles and speech I will like to hear more from him and also I need his contact information
We never knew oo we the young ones always praise Rawlings i listening to your side of the story at the other last interview, I watch the other presentaion... your show through the night and I cry the hole night we the young ones need to be educated about the history of our ancestors our leaders my request don't fill shy to let us know your toile you pass through to save your country... Please Andy can you please bring (one man thousand)and (Quanta Bissa) respectively to your show as this two men shake Tema and Accra those days from 19 79 to 81 thanks
This Andy guy needs to learn and polish his interviewing skills. Too many elementary questions that keep dragging the interview in circles. I think sometimes it quite irritates the captain. And that laughter/smirk on his face when the guest answers the question is almost disrespectful.
The interviewer is trying to get the truth out hence his persistent questions but his sarcasm is not warranted and very unprofessional. The gentleman being interviewed is holding his ground.
Andy, the Capt. Was so so weaked that was why Rawlings brought him from Achiase. His men misbehaved themselves at Asamankese during the revolution. He knew more than what he is releasing to the public. He had facts and figures but hiding all of that. He was to help JJ to finish those soldires but failed. He was not special in anything good apart from harrassment . Shame unto to him. Weaked officer.
The Capt should give more clarity on what happened with Campoare of B Faso and Tailor of Liberia in relation to possible military action in Ghana. So lessons can learned for the sake of posterity.

This interviewer looks like Don Lemon of CNN; he also sounds/dresses as gay as Lemon. Just pointing out, not that there is anything wrong with being gay in 2019, lol. He was a little/unnecessarily harsh and rough with the Captain on this round of the interview. I appreciate these interviews because they are eyeopeners. I still adore Rawlings, despite his imperfections-Captain Awuni is the only person I believe among those whose interviews I have watched.
Andy thanks again for the good job you are doing. We appreciate the time of CPT Awuni for this interview. My intake: Soldiers don't tell full stories, because secrecy is one of their weapons from the time they joined the military to the time they join their ancestors. If they reveal certain Informations, either personal or general, they could put millions of soldiers out there in danger. You never know who is using the same strategy to survive in similar situation. Secondly, I think their plan to return to Ghana with force with the help of Charles Taylor and Ivory coast Prez did not succeed not only because of infiltration in their inner circle, but also Charles Taylor was sponsored by Gaddafi during the war. Let's not forget Gaddafi was close ally to Rawlings. This means it was possible for Information to flow from Taylor's camp to Gaddafi, then to Rawlings. Overall, that was a good interview. I appreciate the fact you were able to bring these heroes to the public for us to hear from them. Keep up the good works Sir..!
There's one trait in all of ur interviews. U don't allow ur guest to continue speaking when they hit a point. U unnecessarily interrupt their narration. You give the impression that u're trying to prove you know the story too which is very unfortunate and highly unnecessary cos you only read it and can't know it better than the person that lived it and sits right infront of you. This is what I've noticed in ALL ur interviews. And if u read the comments so many ppl complain about this same thing. U need to change pls. It does too much harm to the viewer🤦🏽♂️ That said good job with the interviews to enlighten the younger generation who may be blinded to the truth

Yeah dude... we for look smart oh ... this is a chance to document all such stuff. We have heard from the horses own mouths ...a bit of proof sourcing, then bam, we got a documentary on it. It's Ghana's history whether we like it or yes.
Joshua, you are really smart, there are many good stories from our past that can be turned into great documentary/movies that will be more beneficial to our future generation than these Ghanaian movies being shown.
I've actually been thinking about it for some time now. Why not do this and get the info from these people while they're still alive. But No oo. Our producers and others will wait until they're all dead and a generation that didn't experience what happened will pick up the project and so something that's not even close to what actually happened. Meanwhile Kumawood is still doing Kumawood things smh
Watched a few episodes and I am wondering what the aim of this channel is apart from critiquing JJ Rawlings. Fair enough, you have the right to do so, but dont you think fairness demands that you at least you interview other people associated with him to get a response. Its hard to take this channel seriously if all they present is one side of the story. And lets get real, General Kotoka and Gen Afrifa's coup was as bloody and as messy. People need some perspective here. The country had dealt with real terrorism in the past including assasination attempts against Dr Nkrumah. This was the way things were going in the country. Not to justify the attrocities but perspective is alwas necessary
@Anuaa Adadzewa Awotwe Ewes?? Sorry, I have no interest in tribal bigotry. I did not mention any ethics group in my assessment unlike you. But settings up bombs to assassinate Dr Nkrumah would be nothing short of terrorism. You can sanitize or even justify Ghana's first ever coup detat against Dr Nkrumah if you want although it's a clear cut case of ideological inconsistency
You see,am not so interested in the captain's explanation. As a captain in the Ghana 🇬🇭 Army,he should know better, that disarming this guy's will cause their life. Did he thought twice? Ask him.Am so disappointed for a captain to behave so. I wouldn't want to go deep into this case, time is so close we will sort out everything. Time is coming soon.
Andy is very typical Ghanaian trying to shower praises on the Capt ,luckily he is not boastful and is humble .We Ghanaians are too much into praising people unnecessarily, which corrupts the system .We should seriously ascertain someone’s achievements before showering praise on them Now let’s seriously examine Rawlings” real achievements with facts and evidence …….
There are alot of information he is withelding for his own safety and family but God above one day some soldier or soldiers will come out with the truth. His story does not sum up and there's more to it.No way he Will admit it on national television. He was in the jungle and he was brought to Accra to perform that duty why?and why him? There were higher commanders above him in Accra who could have performed that duty.He was called because he was one of the soldiers with Rawlings, boakye Gyan etc during the overthrow or their coup.
Patrick Aidoo He said he was a trainer. Most soldiers Will listen to those who trained them than a high rank officer in time of revolution. In the Army, there are some soldiers other soldiers are afraid or respect and will therefore listen to them when they order them to do something. Example is: Adebuga. These soldiers are mainly a sergeant or a captain. In revolution, a high rank officer doesn't count.
It's really funny how all these people who are involved in the revolution fails to take responsibilities of the parts they played and just put it on one man which we all know it's impossible under military rules.
Nuremberg military tribunal Class 9, Nuremberg principle IV.The fact that a person acted pursuant to order of his Government or a superior does not relieve him from responsibility under international law, provided a moral choice was infact possible to him. Nuremberg trials established that all humanity would be guarded by an international shield and that even the Head of State would be held criminally responsible and punished for aggression and Crimes Against Humanity. We need to get informed about conventions in the military as some of us Ghanaians are not aware of our rights and responsibilities.Military ethics, Reflection on principles_the profession of arms, military leadership, ethical practices, war and morality, educating the citizen -soldier .the military is a profession and not hired assassins.
Nuremberg Military tribunal totally different those men were war Criminals with all kinds of charges crimes against humanity...what happens in Ghana 🇬🇭 during the revolution have nothing to do with Nazi Germany 🇩🇪
Coward Rawlings and Coward Tsikata were 500% fully scared of you and what was happening to Courageous Soldeirs who were not Eves they killed Air Vice Marshall Yaw Boakye even when he negotiated to pay back what they claimed he had amassed so perhaps his flying ability caused his death "COWARDS DIE MANY TIMES BEFORE THEIR DEATH"
I wouldnt blame rawlings more than nkrumah when he took over from the colony could have used them to establish a system but, rawling was not that educated to expect graduate performance from ,
This man is confused .. he said Thomas Sankara was turning Burkina Faso around yet he wanted to work the man who overthrow Sankara to enter Ghana and overthrow JJ with the help of Charles Taylor .. the interviewer is just poor in asking credible questions !
Capt Joe Awuni,a young Brigadier AA AFRIFA overthrew OSAGYEFO Dr Nkrumah; did he teach the youth to insult and abuse the elderly? Did that tickle down to this age? Those his troops murdered etc. Was that the beginning of corruption and disrespect? Sir,you have to be a little objective ,if you want a little credibility !
Cpt Baba Awuni's competence and intelligence of 37yrs. ago is not the same as at his present. The circumstances he was going through. Let's take advantage of these facts and form movements to fight for our freedom!
Probably we are waiting for Kumawood to continue doing their Adabuga part 1, 2, 3 .4 .5 .6... Hahahaha. This is rich info to gather and make something good at from it. Who wanna help me to put this stuff together for a documentary? Hit me up.
Who is dis Andy guy finding questions about de death of de 3 high Court judges everyday n then. Even if he finds out de truth what will he do , nothing, all dos he has been interviewed do not even hv a clear sight of it n dey are all talking out of rumors due to some experiences. So Mr man(Andy) know where u coming from n where u are cos even ur own father wouldn't be able to give u a clear sight of it dan to tell u a rumor ( what he head)
Don't you think he was used and dump as a trash by the powers that be becos possibly they couldn't do the job that he did and so wanted no competition anywhere? Wake up dude. Don't let your last name deceive you.
Cant you see that there are so many questions the key player could not answer? He was speaking like a hearsay person. What was his answer when he was asked what made him so dear to the chairman? Go back and listen to that answer and see if that is enough. Anyway, we all have different ways of understanding issues. Describing my comment as nonsense is your style of judgement. Keep it to yourself...!!
Very unfortunate comment from a person who can read and write and is believed to be an elite person. Where does such comments lead people who make them to? Does your last name makes you think in a particular way? Come on grow up and get out from that small corner....!!!!

Andy please bring this type in interviews back . I have learnt a great deal from this .
Hi Mr Andy, the special thing about captain Joe Awuni is that, he was an intelligent captain & has strategic & forensic mind to his actions. Perhaps, he was seen as a threat.
Andy pls give capt chance to express himself
Absolutely. He likes interrupting. He should also ask open up questions.
Kindly Interview Adabuga again..

Andy is very typical Ghanaian trying to shower praises on the Capt ,luckily he is not boastful and is humble .We Ghanaians are too much into praising people unnecessarily, which corrupts the system .We should seriously ascertain someone’s achievements before showering praise on them
Now let’s seriously examine Rawlings” real achievements with facts and evidence …….
Andy ask Captain Awuni why Rawlings and Tsikata spared his life? Why would they spare him and kill others?
They poisoned him
There are alot of information he is withelding for his own safety and family but God above one day some soldier or soldiers will come out with the truth.
Patrick Aidoo
He said he was a trainer.
You should have asked of the SEVEN he disarmed ....He only named Giwa,Eric Asare,,Alieu,,,and Akatapure
Interview skills.....🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Cpt, you deserve whatever mistreatment meted to you. Why did you overthrow the Limann govt, shame unto you all
Andy pls get proper training, it will help
Nuremberg Military tribunal totally different those men were war Criminals with all kinds of charges crimes against humanity...what happens in Ghana 🇬🇭 during the revolution have nothing to do with Nazi Germany 🇩🇪
its like asking a driver.can you drive.what do you expect
This man is really a liar
YES liar
Coward Rawlings and Coward Tsikata were 500% fully scared of you and what was happening to Courageous Soldeirs who were not Eves
they killed Air Vice Marshall Yaw Boakye even when he negotiated to pay back what they claimed he had amassed
so perhaps his flying ability caused his death
"COWARDS DIE MANY TIMES BEFORE THEIR DEATH"
WHO ORDERED THE KILLING OF THE JUDGES? GIVE YOUR HONEST OPINION. IS IT JERRY RAWLINGS OR MENBERS OF THE PEOPLE MILITIA? THANKS
YES asked Them
Sankara was turning his nation around but couldnt , guess why , hmmm
I wouldnt blame rawlings more than nkrumah when he took over from the colony could have used them to establish a system but, rawling was not that educated to expect graduate performance from ,
For once some one agrees with what happened
Adabuga is a Hero.
He was misled
This man is confused .. he said Thomas Sankara was turning Burkina Faso around yet he wanted to work the man who overthrow Sankara to enter Ghana and overthrow JJ with the help of Charles Taylor .. the interviewer is just poor in asking credible questions !
Rawlings The Greatest- The Father of modern Ghana. We re forever grateful 👮🏿♂️
Poor interviewer.
Been a lawyer is different from journalist.
Andy you lacked and allure to ask him probing questions.
..so he had a pistol ..?????
Tsikata might have scared of the man
LESSON: Be two steps above your enemies
Why on earth at all do you wanna know what's special about him? Such a poor interviewer. Just destructing and drawing him back...yuck!!!
Sir,you have to be a little objective ,if you want a little credibility !
is he telling the truth? doesn't look like he is or maybe half truth.
Now my fellow Ghanaians let's use the Democratic powers available to form movements to challenge our politicians. They're cowards.
Cpt Baba Awuni's competence and intelligence of 37yrs. ago is not the same as at his present. The circumstances he was going through. Let's take advantage of these facts and form movements to fight for our freedom!
One side of a story hmmmm
How did you come to that conclusion? what facts do you
base your opinion?Nothing
Bring the judges kids
Probably we are waiting for Kumawood to continue doing their Adabuga part 1, 2, 3 .4 .5 .6... Hahahaha. This is rich info to gather and make something good at from it. Who wanna help me to put this stuff together for a documentary? Hit me up.
😂😂😂😂
Only rawlngsc9uld tell why he had 8nterest
Who is dis Andy guy finding questions about de death of de 3 high Court judges everyday n then. Even if he finds out de truth what will he do , nothing, all dos he has been interviewed do not even hv a clear sight of it n dey are all talking out of rumors due to some experiences. So Mr man(Andy) know where u coming from n where u are cos even ur own father wouldn't be able to give u a clear sight of it dan to tell u a rumor ( what he head)
I dont trust this awuni guy
Blood tasted officer.
Who killed Maj Nantogmah of 1st Brigade?
Jerry Nantogmah
Those were dark days. The other ranks set out to kill officers from major upwards
I do not believe you 100%. Just admit that you were not capable to overthrow Rawlings at the time. Stop bragging please.
Don't you think he was used and dump as a trash by the powers that be becos possibly they couldn't do the job that he did and so wanted no competition anywhere? Wake up dude. Don't let your last name deceive you.
Edward how can spew such nonsense to such a honourable gentleman. Please learn manners.
his last name tells it all
Cant you see that there are so many questions the key player could not answer? He was speaking like a hearsay person. What was his answer when he was asked what made him so dear to the chairman? Go back and listen to that answer and see if that is enough. Anyway, we all have different ways of understanding issues. Describing my comment as nonsense is your style of judgement. Keep it to yourself...!!
Very unfortunate comment from a person who can read and write and is believed to be an elite person. Where does such comments lead people who make them to? Does your last name makes you think in a particular way? Come on grow up and get out from that small corner....!!!!
