Thank you so much for making the wattage bigger, it helps. A video idea would be also to test the charging in cases with magsafe rings for the pixel and galaxy using a magsafe or qi2 chargers - when i do that on my s24 ultra it gets toasty with that esr qi2 for car

At first I would have said that more watts equals faster charging and it seems to be true for the pixel 8 pro. However, there is almost an hour difference between the s24u and iphone 15 pm and both of them charge at 15W. I believe this has something to do with the charging curve, correct me if I'm wrong.
Definitely a charging curve optimisation on the iPhones
Yes, the most damaging part of a charging cycle is that 80-100% segment. You can easily degrade the battery as much as charging from 0-80%, i.e. 4X more degradation. This is science fact and why Apple prioritises battery management over speed. Even Samsung now offers a 80% charge capacity as it knows what damage the battery suffers charging that extra 20%. I always charge to 80% and it has meant even my iPhone 13PM is still at only 96% after two years!

@@DarthCrohns No. I only use 2-3 hours SOT a day as I carry two phones with different SIMs, as some areas in the UK have poor service on some networks. So, I rarely use more than 40% in 24 hours and can keep my battery in the most efficient zone for longevity, i.e. 30-80%. But I get that some people may need 100% if they are unable to charge during the day.
@@andyH_England yeah ive always kept adaptive charging ON on my pixel 6 and its still on 97 percent health even tho i dont take car of it (killing it to zero often and always charged to 100 percent overnight)

Pretty much as expected when the Max charging speeds test coming 😊
People are different to me. I use a cable charger for charging and only use a wireless charger for top-ups during the day in downtime, as it is inconvenient to operate your phone when charging wirelessly. If you top-up 3X a day for 30 minutes each, you can get an extra full charge on the Ultra and never need to use a wired charger.
After 30 mins, the iPhone gets a 25% top-up, the S24U around 33% and 3% more on the Pixel, so the difference is not life-changing, and for the vast majority, using wireless charging for how it was created is reasonable. Obviously, OEMs have tried to market faster and higher numbers as it appeals to the youth market, so we have Chinese OEMs having faster wireless charging. But they have dual batteries, so they are splitting the wattage. I would still use a cable as that is much faster and creates less heat, as there is no 40% energy loss from the inefficiency of wireless charging.
So I would use a cable most of the time and wireless charging just for downtime to top up. I would never use wireless charging full-time. That is definitely not what it was created for.
All these wireless chargers are joke. Oneplus Air Vooc charges OP12's 5400mah battery in 45 mins. Why these big giants are stuck with slow charging.

37C for the Pixel 8 Pro on the wireless charger. That's why I don't use wireless charging. Too hot.
I'm shocked that the iPhone took so much longer than the S24 Ultra. The iPhone has a smaller battery and better coil alignment due to MagSafe. The iPhone also gets much hotter.
Anything charging related with the iPhone is just a long day lol

MagSafe is now Qi 2.0 so the regulatory authority disagrees with you. Maybe, you just don't like iPhones. Remember MagSafe is about charging management and Apple chooses to charge slower.

all of them have pixel shift. S24 and iphone will still shift in wallpaper aod mode. the reason its not apparent on the google and apple because they turn some pixels off where the items in aod are shown and keep switching the pixels around. samsung takes an old school approach in moving like whole thing around (much like oneplus)

s24 has a bigger battery, and charges faster on the same "wattage" I wonder if it can sense your wattage meter thing, and isn't negotiating bigger. Might get a better result with a killawatt outlet tester

Just think it takes the same time to charge a 15PM with a wire as it does a 24u from wireless.
You may need help understanding the pretext of wireless charging. It is for slow charging in downtime, like overnight or when working. You slap on a wireless charger for a top-up. Due to the inefficiency and therefore heat of wireless charging, there are better solutions than using that full time. e.g. you are eating your dinner, you drop it on a wireless charger and get a 20% top-up in 30 mins.Do that throughout the day and you will never run out of battery!

This is one of my gripes with my iphone 15. The charging time takes so long despite using a way smaller battery size. I am using a vanilla iphone 15 with 3349 mAh only. It takes almost 2 hours to fully charge it (from 30%).

If you have been paying enough attention, you will clearly realize that many iOS features are from the mac or iPad, others are just iOS features. The always on display on iPhone has been copied by Samsung in the new s24 ultra, all the customization features and photo removal turning it to a sticker and many many more.

I have a issue with my s24 ultra with wireless charging. I have tried three different chargers. And it says it takes 3.5 to 4 hours to fully charge it.. they are all 15w fast chargers

It only does that on Pixel Stand 2, which has a fan to stop it from overheating and destroying the battery. If you can afford $70 each for 5-6 Pixel Stand 2 to have around the house and office, this is misleading.
