Except it went straight to emotional despair in the next episode onwards. This anime is way too heavy for Trigun IMHO. Vash is way too moody for most of the season. It's like the second half of the original anime. Honestly, this feels like a prequel but moved up in the timeline, so I'm looking forward to season 2.

I’m a huge fan of the original series, and while I was hesitant at first, I’m really enjoying the new show! And yeah, the animation is gorgeous. I’m just glad to have more trigun honestly! Maybe if more people get interested we can even get a trigun maximum adaptation :D

When i heard about the reboot/remake of Trigun, i was hesitant at first but saw bits of clips and it got me curious to how it played out. Animation looks amazing and both the sub and dub is pretty good, too.
I’m glad I didn’t have any nostalgia hate, otherwise I would’ve missed out on beautiful animation and lovable characters! Now I get to watch everything else related to this series!! :D
I'm going to wait until this comes out on DVD because I don't want a crunchyroll account but just going by clips alone, this looks pretty good and the characters seem likeable and entertaining.
@@JKgyaru6969 I think the logic behind it is the fact that Vash only has a 6 million dollar bounty in this show. He’s not nearly as infamous yet in the story, so an insurance company sending agents after him to minimize collateral damage isn’t necessary yet. In this version of the story, the July city explosion hasn’t happened yet. So Vash is still just a famous outlaw. But not public enemy number 1 with a 60 billion double dollar bounty.
It all looks well-written and well animated and everything which begs the question: why did they have to use the Trigun name? The characters are uniquely different enough to be different people. Im no purist, this doesnt ruin anything about the original. Its just very "why?".
Because it IS Trigun, made with blessing of Nightow Yasuhiro (author of the original manga). OG anime and manga are so different in tone and their respective writhing of many characters (especially Knives) that even with similar designs of characters, they are completely different. So now we have something new that's different but is Trigun, too.
@@Vetrenar in that case my argument still stands based on the original. This isnt "more trigun" it is a different story. If the original Trigun is that different then it should have been named otherwise too. I just dont agree with reusing a title on a completely different story and characters.
@@LazyDogJumper The original anime was created when Trigun's manga wasn't even finished. Thus changes were made so the anime can be finished instead of waiting for the manga. @@karanrawat835 im sorry but i cannot accept "its the same but completely different" as an explanation. Many anime did that during that time. I don't dislike this show because it's doing something DIFFERENT. I hate it cause they're making something objectively WORSE! There is a difference. So far, the animation is the only point of positive note i can give around here. The characters and the way they're telling this story is ridiculously sloppy, contrived, and ultimately going for the style over substance approach. The original isn't even a question, it's obvious which is the better show.
Agreed. Been disappointed with this one. Especially the writing. I do look forward to the second season though. This feels like a prequel that takes the place of the early parts of the anime / manga, and I hope the time skip kind of changes Vash into the ace gunslinger he is.
