Reed College is a liberal arts college in Portland, Oregon! (Fun fact: Steve Jobs is an alumni!) I was able to visit for 24 hours and made some new friends from around the country :)
Hi Alle, I just watched your bank of America reaction video and I also have some questions, but since the comment section is locked in the other video, Im just going to type my question here. So I noticed that in the application, the word limits are 1000, 2000 words. Do you think that I am expected to reach the word count?? How long should each of my responses be? Thank you!!!
Hi! I didn't notice that the comments were disabled, so I just fixed that. When I applied, I (and my peers) initially mistook the word limit for 1000 and 2000 words... it ended up being 1000 and 2000 CHARACTERS (not words). I haven't looked at this year's application, though, so you might want to double check. You should definitely maximize the 1000/2000 character count because it's not a lot of room to work with. Write a long essay at first, then go through and eliminate the words you don't need. It's much easier to start with more and delete.
