She also had a strong devotion to the Sacred Heart and was actually instrumental for the Feast of the Sacred Heart declared by the church centuries later. (God works in His own time :)

Her book "Dialogue" Ectasies of conversations with God the Father is a classic masterpiece. The chapter on the Church and its clergy and the chapter on Obedience ( perfect expectations in religious life and imperfect in the laity) were 2 profound areas that shook me to the core given all that occurs within the clergy and in religious life. God the Father has very firm words to say of how He is the one to be left to judge his Clergy and Hierarchy even harshly as needed and we as laity are told only to pray for them and their souls. St Catherine is one of my go-to saints for inspiration not afraid to evangelize and speak out the truth like a lion's roar.. She merits for sure being a Doctor of the Church. 🙏😇.
Why was flagellation or "the little discipline" a thing among certain Catholic Saints? Beating yourself up is meritorious? Asceticism is one thing. But spiritual S&M is pleasing to God? How so?

I believe I read that St alphonsus liguri said that if a person says faithfully a prayer of resignation in death, they can avoid purgatory.
Here is an example of a prayer with "infinite desire": Jesus, Mary I love you, save souls, I offer you, eternal Father, this act of love an infinite number of times, with my every breathe and heartbeat united to the breathe and heartbeat of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and St.Joseph

There was a nun who died, and GOD allowed her to appear to her mother superior. The nun explained to her mother superior that when she died there were 60,000 people who died. She said out of the 60,000 she and another soul went straight to Heaven, and 3 souls went to Purgatory. She said the rest she saw fall into Hell. She told her mother superior the only reason she went straight to Heaven was because she prayed a prayer everyday. The prayer is called “ To Avoid Purgatory Prayer.” GOD Bless!

I think saint Catherine was a cat lover. I ask her to be with my little buddy all the time.
I would rather ask St Catherine of Sienna to pray for us than be with our cats. After all we’ll be the ones potentially be in Purgatory, not our cats.

when I was not catholic and living in sin I acquired the habit of watching divination(tarot videos).I became very severely depressed somehow I found a rosary at my grandmas house and I started to pray during 4 months I prayed nearly everyday all the mysteries of the rosary.I was astounded by the amount of peace and ease my life started to have.Also my severe depression for that while transformed into joy and I went to my first confession after 13 years.The road has not been easy since then, and I didn't stay in a state of grace I sinned again with tarot I knowmits a terrible sin and I fear hell.Even though now I have much more control because I pray the rosary everyday I wanted to ask can such a deep mortal sin be rooted out of my life by the rosary and also will the promises of the rosary still apply to me who is trying to convert again to catholicism? thank you
Dear, don't give up! Have courage and hope. God loves you so much! ❤I was fighting mortal sin for a long time and threw the prayer of rosary Mother has delivered me. But need to stay watchful at all times.
Exorcism/deliverance prayers will speed the process - look for Msgr Rossetti monthly online deliverance session at St Michael Centre and join this channels live rosary-it's very powerful. (at 9pm pst for 30 min)

Im about 70% through the Dialogue of divine providence and it is an incredible book. I mean personally I think the Biography of st teresa of avila is the best book written by a saint, but this is a close second

Also don’t forget… Plenary indulgence isn’t from the merit of our desire. It’s from the extra graces and merits by saints who came before us. Their extra goes into the repository of the Church; then dispensed at times like when we desire a plenary indulgence and do the required actions necessary to gain one.
What concerns me is that the Church, for the first 1,000 years (before the Great Schism of 1054) did not believe in purgatory (and the Orthdox Church still doesn't). So, it makes me suspicious of the visions people have of 'purgatory'.
Let me tells u ,in our orthodox sites-the official ones there just have a hint about purgatory. The preists always says we have to pray for the dead relatives because their final destination is not decided yet? No in paradise,no in hell. Well,that doesnt make sense right? They just dont want to use the word purgatory,that is why so many are mislead and cant underatand why prayers are so important! Now i already know because i found catolic channels

I'm Catholic.Ok I get what is being said here.My question is there are one billion Chinese who never heard of Jesus because of the Chinese Communist Party.They don't know that we have a soul that will be judged some day for our deeds.So what happens to their souls when they die?How can Jesus judge them if they never heard of Jesus?It's not their fault.What about these tribes of people living deep in the Amazon who never even heard of God?What if a soul of one of these Chinese people said to Jesus You never manifested Yourself to us for us to know You.

I also wondered the same. Buti got the answer. people who doesnt know Jesus or they are not in civilised world will be judged by other standards. As much as u know about god law,as much as u are inteligent,educated and so and so u have bigger responsibility for your actions,to know what is sin and how to avoid it. Also if u ignore the signs of god in your life in everything is the same. U reject to know anytning about religion. There cant be equality when people are different. When u are uneducated for example even if u are christian u cant bear the responsibility for your actions unless is murder or something big. Some people are never had the chance to know Jesus,they standards are very low. But how someone who knows everything and can find everything in internet now days will reject to know jesus. That means he will be judged different,or a person who is been born in to religious family or he is a new born christian but after that he goes away in the wrong direction of life? These people cant say that they didnt know. No excuse for them. That is why for them will have no mercy,or they will go purgatory by Jesus mercy.

@@paulcapaccio9905 Actually I do understand. It’s the Roman Catholics and others who keep adding burdens that Jesus removed from Repentant Sinners. Either the blood of Jesus is sufficient to wash the Sinner or it’s not. Either Jesus paid the price of Sin for Believers or He didn’t. Scripture says Jesus’ Sacrifice was enough once for all time.

The faith I have in Jesus was created before the Foundation of the World and is the Gift of God. You can read all about it in the Book of Ephesians and especially chapter 2 verses 8 and 9. The Roman Catholic Church doesn’t have a monopoly on Faith in Christ nor is the authority on how Sin is forgiven, far from it. Just the the RCC’ dogma about the Mother of Jesus alone is Heretical. The whole Catholic Doctrine is the Antithesis of what Christ and the Apostles taught.
Want the Truth about who Jesus is and what’s he did? The truth of who Believers are and why? Read the New Testament and Old without the Catholic Spin.
