SINCE I DIDNT ADD TO VIDEO: my hope is that they take the tech demo of 2.1 and turn it into a full fleshed update with 2.1.1
In my opinion, this is an update that had to happen to draw in a larger playerbase. The entire design overhaul may be whatever to all the og players, but I personally think all of these changes will help the casual player experience. The world events are gonna be cool, and I will definitely level a new class after this update hits. I hope this is going to be kind of an update that will allow them to cook up some crazy updates in the future.
The fact they've said that there's still more to reveal before the beta has me shaking, like what the heck have they been cooking?? Thank god we have reporter Nelston on the scene 🙏

I agree with the Colossus part. The model looks kind of out of place-plasticky, even. I don't know if it has to do with the scaling or if this is just bad lighting or whatever, but the artstyle looks more like Hytale than all the other Wynn stuff we've seen before this trailer, and in the trailer.
I think it's probably just how big it is. Overall, I think the new Art style will probably be more appealing to new players. Probably also the fact that the sword is so big.
honestly I think it would look better if the resolution was lower. Currently it doesn't even look like pixel art, which makes it look weird
its because TCC's model is too big and the pixels aren't the same resolution with the surroundings which makes it seem like its out of place, and yes they chose the wrong lighting to light up that scene. Imagine how cool it'd be if they animate the Old model with minecraft blocks (It's probably laggy as hell, and i would understand why they didn't want to go with this idea) but TCC mobs are literally a rock and it makes sense though. also the animation aspect is too fast for me, tcc is big in scale, which means quite heavy, and i think he moves around a little too fast which loses the impression of weight and just feels too light imo.

For me the issue with greg is kind of the oppposite? Floating greg didnt mean he was intellgent, more like he has more godlike power but was still mostly clueless about the sheer magnitude of what he was causing, which was a canon part of the character.
i agree, and also, since we aren't meant to see greg it would make sense for him to float since greg is just our character's imagination. for a creature that is that powerful and possesses an unknown element, i wouldn't imagine him to be a crawling skeleton..

26:36 I will say since it wasn't covered but in the Major ID for Cavalryman is buffed since its original is -70% and now is down to -30%.
27:14 I will also add that this item is going to be really good for Panic Zealot builds, both in Melee and Spell since they both only need Agility and that PZ can easily surpass the -attack speed.

I'd like to point out something i found interesting about the updated frog dance ability. At 30:21, you pointed out that its "basically the same" but without a totem. I agree. BUT, before, you couldn't use it with blood connection and it required you to land after casting haul. The changes are, imo, amazing, because it will become a valid travelling method on ground if you don't want to/can't fly.

i disagree with you saying that it isnt as big as we hoped, although I understand where you are coming from they are giving us what we have been asking for (at least as what ive heard) they are improving guilds, giving us difficult content and new content as well. Also i hardly think this will be all they will give us until fruma, the mini world events are something they could work with, adding in new materials groups of mobs to fight and the world event will be something they could work with. and about the UI i think this is a good change as it gives players a good experience without mods.
i think it’s a good start, it’s a critical update, but in terms of new content i want to see more if possible
To be honest, I feel appreciated that Wynncraft dev is still alive and active to push out new updates. I enjoy new things they introduce without making my time there worse

i 100% agree with the spell icon change opinion
the R and the L were completely different looking letters but the new mouse icons are too similar.
the R and the L were so easily recognizable noob me was able to instantly recognize them lol, but its gonna take some time for every player to be able to recognize the mouse icons.
i also agree with the ui change opinion, but ngl all they have to do is add texturing to it instead of being flat and ill be fine with it LOL
Maybe they are going to implement using middle click!! It makes sense because I know Minecraft serverside can detect middle clicks w/o need for mods so that may open up potential for new spells

I generally think the new UI stuff is cool, but I wish they'd kept the papery look to it. For some reason the Silverbull menus have a much more modern and plasticky style that doesn't fit into the medieval setting very well, and the new UIs that don't relate to Silverbull (The blacksmith & Inventory) seem to be going in that direction as well.

even though i dont play anymore, I don't like the change of dungeons no longer requiring a quest to enter. I think having a quest before a dungeon made it much more interesting instead of just meaningless xp grind.
Well they'll still need keys so i think it's a decent compromise
New players can and most likely will have to do the quests for getting their first key
While veterans that grind new characters and have keys in store don't have to repeat the quest for the 6th time

a thing i hope for in terms of boss rework is that the bossfights are going to be more about "dodge it" rather than "tank it" because dodging isn't really feasible

I hope the world event isn't going to be laggy, imagine 30+ people /world spamming their spells on one boss
it said that it is synchronized on all servers as opposed to kust having one server for the entire fight
it will go to seconds per tick
i just hope fruma comes out by winter, i was expecting that to be this update but theyre pushing it back and i dont see myself playing in a years time if thats how long itll take

Should i make new character?
Well some of the major changes are that all enemies will be a bit different (potentially even very different, depending on how much that "350+ Unique Mob AIs and Abilities" bullet point on the info page is going to end up affecting thinge) and that there are a bunch of little ambience details added in everywhere, so I'd personally say yes. It's an update that seems to be bigger than 2.0, though with the focus instead going broader and more towards everything the player interacts with rather than the player character themself. A world with that kind of a new feel to it certainly seems worth experiencing all over again.
