Daemon and Caraxes so far has the coolest relationship and bond compared to the other dragons and riders! It’s just really cool how they seem to have similar personalities too!
I love how Caraxes has been designed.
Menacingly beautiful.
He looks frail and delicate... drogon would eat caraxes lunch in front of him.

@@crazestyle83 SPOILER ALERT! You'd think that, but Caraxes is the one who kills Vhagar, a dragon 4x his own size, if not even larger. He dies because of it, but Caraxes his fiersomeness and willpower/strength shouldn't be underestimated. Caraxes would most likely rip Drogon's head off.

@@FreddieMcCrack FACTS if Caraxes was the same size of Balerion he destroys the black dread the ferocity of Caraxes is unmatched imagine him the size of the big three and cannibal he fought like he was as big as them
Caraxes is a perfect example of how dragon riders potentially share a bond with their dragon that goes deeper than we initially thought. Caraxes almost able to sense and match Deamon's merciless thirst for battle and blood.
He also groaned in pain when Daemon was hit in the shoulder by an arrow during the first attack on the crab feeders army. Syrax was also moaning in anguish during Rhaenyra’s miscarriage. Almost as if the dragons can feel their riders pain.
@@Kevlar0718I was about to say the same thing
They seem to be designed kind of like dogs
@@Randomyoutubecommenter Do you want a Dragon humping your leg though?
@@Kevlar0718Yeah I was just barely reminded by that Syrax in pain scene when Rhaenyra was giving birth to Daemon’s 3rd child with her. Meleys was in that scene too when Daemon told Jaeharys do u want to see what loyalty looks like when he made the 2 knights swore allegiance to Rhaenyra & Caraxes is so in sync with Daemon that he shows up to make sure the 2 knights kno that Daemon wasn’t messing around with his words & commands lmfao. That Syrax scene came on so fast on the tv screen that I had totally forgot bout it..
Caraxes makes the sickest sounds out of any dragons in this show or GOT. Sound design guys deserve a big applause for that. Every time you hear that creepy, bass-heavy whistle, you know he's approaching.

I noticed that too! Daemon has a strong bond and connection with his dragon, because during the night time fight on the Stepstones, when Daemon blocked his head from the fire arrows, He’s dragon mimicked his actions. Maybe it’s just the breed of dragon. RRM should write a book explaining their origins, their type and their details of what each type has.
I love Caraxes. His look, his high pitched roar it’s just yess

Caraxes Is definitely one of the best, but I hope we get to see the black dread one day in Tv adaptation.
My feeling on the reason why Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion looked the same is because they all had the same mother and were born pretty much out of the same fire.
Smaller budget
They don't look the same in the books
I argue that Danys dragons had better design, but the colors needed to be better. Viserion and Rhaegel's colors needed to pop more.
@@LyricalXilence Agreed. Look how visibly red Caraxes is. They needed to do the same for Viserion and Rhaegal. Especially in later seasons they were almost indistinguishable from one another

Caraxes is pretty awesome dragon 🐉 😎. Wish they showed a flashback of balerion some day. The way he flies is awesome and cool
They should’ve made the Dragon Pit more of a nesting ground rather than a jail. Seal it off from the general populace and make it a place for them to want to return/stay at. Dragons aren’t tame, but they’d be less likely to run amok with a good place to nest and hunt
yea but how would they seal them off from the city while letting them have freedom? They are so huge, and they dont have very advanced construction technologies in westeros to create a massive enclosure.
I think they should have rotated the dragons from the pit to dragonstone Let em roam free for a certain amount of time a year

@@zxh no idea, according to the fire and blood novel the 12 year old aerea targaryen wanted to go on a magical adventure and went off with balerion when he was left unattended
they returned a year later with her barely clinging on
the state she was in is another discussion entirely, the reason I bring this up is because of the state balerion was in!
the oldest and largest dragon ever, and it was covered in wounds and heavily injured, including a 9 foot long bleeding gash on his side
this attack left him essentially crippled as ever since he was unable to fly past the city without exhausting
whatever it was they encountered in valyria, left BALERION THE BLACK DREAD crippled!
drogon will find no bitches over there
@@zxh the stone men aren’t the only threat in the ruins of Valyria. In HOTD, a twelve year old Targaryen princess- in an act of defiance against her mother- decided it would be a good idea to mount Balerion, the Black Dread. The dragon flew off with the young girl on his back and they both disappeared from Westeros. For some reason the dragon decided to fly back to his old home, Valyria. A year later, the dragon returned with the princess- both barely alive, appearing to have been attacked by something. Something so large that it left deep, 9ft long cuts on the giant dragon. The cuts were said to be smoking and they oozed an oily black liquid.
The princess was in an even worse condition than the dragon. Her body was covered in horrific pustules- and she was so hot that steam was coming off of her skin. She begged to be put out of her misery. The maesters noted that her skin appeared to be moving as if something was under it. They had never seen this affliction before, so in an effort to treat her fever- they put her in a bath of ice. When her body hit the ice cold water, she let out a horrific scream as the pustules and skin on her body began to writhe and rip open from the inside…and worms with small faces and hands bursted out of her body. Some of them were as long as an arm. The parasites died along with the princess. The maesters were so traumatized from the sound the worms made, that they went insane. After that, it was forbidden to visit the smoking ruins. As far as what attacked Balerion- the Dread, the maesters claim it was some great demon. Whatever it was, it was far bigger than the dragon that brought Westeros to its knees.

Just pure gold for a reference ❤
Man I wish there was an amazing open world video game for GOT just imagine getting to choose your house build alliances and try to conquer them. Or your being a Targaryen dragon rider and the main point of your story is bringing all of the seven kingdoms together in order to withstand becoming long night and the white walkers but you have to navigate the politics of the many houses and realms to the best of your ability
Caraxes is the coolest Dragon in the series to me. Helps that Daemon is the coolest character but still. “The Blood Wyrm” as he was known by the small folk.
I wonder if the long neck, has a effect on the composition of the dragon fire? Maybe it has a effect similar to a candle and a blowtorch.
I loved how Damon dressed down his king brother when he asked why instead of trusting his own brother he chose Otto Hightower! When the king says why he should have chosen Damon he just says “the blood of the dragon runs deep” and that his brother was a week king who is being manipulated by his hand, and the others around him! And Damon was dead right! How does the king not see that when his wife died Otto’s daughter was conveniently right there! And then married her! If that wasn’t seen as a power play then your not fit to rule! I think Damon would have been loved by the people had he been on the throne! A charismatic warrior who leads from the front is always a beloved king! A king that doesn’t ask his men to do anything more then he is willing to do! There is a lot to be said about that! All throughout history most of the most beloved kings of history were warrior kings who lead there men from the front! You can’t even count the amount of times Alexander the Great put himself at the most dangerous part of the battles! Or the small bands of his men he would lead on special missions like forced night marches on horseback to surprise an enemy at dawn!
Well written 👍👍👍👍👍
You can't spell its daemon not damon
Daemon is violent, impulsive and dangerous. He also has the family values of an immoral sailor. I’m talking about how he treats his wife. So no, he wouldn’t make a good king.
No spoilers please
@@doriandd4648 Daemon is more of a loose cannon if he is a king. He’s quite clever & brave in politics & war but if he decides to punish his enemies, he’s way more cruel than Ramsay Bolton. Daemon will certainly castrate different enemies to the level that might frighten Ramsay.
What grade are you in this year?
Caraxes is so fierce because of the rider. Badass Daemon Targaryen
Did you watch the video? Caraxes was noted as particularly vicious since he was a hatchling long before Daemon was ever born
@@AL-fl4jk yeah but Daemon brings out more in him. He is the rogue prince after all
@@AL-fl4jk He meant that Daemon and Caraxes compliment each other
@@AlexisLopez-pb8ms It's more that because Daemon and Caraxes have the same personality they're able to operate in perfect sync. I think the writers showed in episode 3 of HOTD where Daemon didn't need words to command Caraxes as he was just doing exactly what Daemon would do anyway, almost like they were telepathically linked.
I wish we could see Drogon at it's largest size. In the last season at his age of 7, he was almost equal to the size of Meleys, Rhaenys's dragon. Imagine how large he could grow.
I of course absolutely love the way Caraxes looks. Very distinctive compared to Drogon and his brothers in Game Of Thrones. Not only much larger but structured differently as well. Now they're just simply called dragons because well of course that's what they are but something tells me that perhaps some of them might be different species/breeds of dragons. Because Caraxes having a longer neck, a more serpentine like body and two wing-like appendages on his legs to possibly give him advanced maneuverability through the skies. Also Vhagar lacking traditional dragon horns but has long hair-like parts running along her back. So either some might be different breeds or just unique genes within the lineage
Aren’t those ropes because she is so big the riders need to climb?
They are not different types. Dragons differ in appearance like humans, but this is a species
@@Prospectgirl I've noticed looking closer yeah there were some rope ladders for the rider to climb up
It is said in one of the world books that GRRM helped create that there were originally I believe 3 separate breed of dragons. One looks more lupine in the head (like Deamon's) and the other one listed is more Dinosaur looking, like Vhagar... They have more of a large Komodo Dragon looking features and lack spikes and have more skin connecting their wings to their body.
I would love a whole show on VALAYRIAN EMPIRE
You left out one thing according to the show creators Caraxes is also supposed to be a deformed dragon, hense the long neck and wings on its back legs, also when it roars he is supposed to sound like it has a devated septum hese its not a full roar like the other dragons more a squeal or shreak. I like to see it as a indiactor of the issues the targarions and there dragons will have in the future with the constant inbreeding more and more of the targarion leaders go crazy culminating in the mad king. and what few dragons the targaions have after the civil war were so inbread and deformed they would not live past being hatchlings
There are 4 differend breeds
@@PoochZie I am aware and caraxes is supposed to be a deformed one. I am not sure what breed he is I am Just reiterating what I they said in the behind the scenes podcast
@@robertmccutcheon4103 but Caraxes isn't actually deformed. It's one of the breeds, then there are breed who looks like a wolf from it's face and then there are the ones that looks like dinosaurs. Don't know what the 4th one is tough.
@@PoochZie he can be both . According to the show’s creator these are there words “he is deformed”. As such he has a much longer neck then a normal dragon of its breed and has a deviated septum hence when he roars it’s more of a squeal. Perhaps his breed is long a lean but he also is deformed. 12:45 x² =/= 2x the volume doesn't grow by double the surface area, it's closer to the cube by the square, varying slightly by shape. A cube side 1u is volume 1 u³ (the (u) can be any unit of length, feet, meters, light years, etc.) i.e. cm, cm², cm³) surface area 6 u². Side 3 is 27 u³ vs 54 u². Side 5 is 125 u³ vs 150 u². Side 7 is 343 u³ vs 294 u². Side 10, is 1000 u³ vs 600 u². So increasing the cube by a factor of 10 (Side 1vs10) increases surface area by 100 (10²) but volume by 1000 (10³).
So basically Caraxes is the 'bad boy' dragon of Westeros.
The first time i saw Caraxes i immediately knew he was going to be my favorite in the show, he didnt disappoint.

Caraxes? You mean angry noodle😂 every time I see him on screen I say “NOODLE!” And I love it so much
I didn't even read the books and I know that he was called the Blood Wyrm because of his long neck and his serpent-like features! In this universe you have different fire breathing beings such as: Drakes, Wyverns, Wyrms and Dragons. Wyrms are fire breathing creatures that look like serpents or dragons from the Asian culture (you know what I mean); they have front legs but don't have wings.
