Facts. Trump understands what the United States is to the entire World. He is going to make sure we get something in return. $100 Billion of our tax dollars have gone to Ukraine. They didn’t have enough resources for the victims of Hurricane Helene or the fires in LaHaina. We are helping everyone else and Americans are dying from lack of resources and help. Biden and Harris dug us in a hole. Trump has a lot to fix.
Probably cause of NATO for one. The Others didn't pay their fair share and we just let it happen for many years. It's one of the things Trump says they need to pay their fair share. It's the same with the Environment. We gotta recycle and go green and be responsible, while others like India and China with WAY more people don't give a fk.
The US took on the responsibility to police the world. We didn't HAVE to, but after we were directly attacked in WWII, we decided we couldn't allow bad actors to gain power again. Now, here we are, with a bad actor entering the White House because too many people are completely delusional that his worst policies won't affect them.
The guy in this video (Simon Whistler) has always had a more liberal point of view, and you can see in this video that everything he's saying about Trump is coming from a negative point of view.
By comparison, assuming you've been conditioned by the butt tonguing that is Fox, X and the like I see how you could view his comments as being 'negative.' In fact his comments are temperate and directly quote him or facts regarding him throughout the video. Now you may think because I'm a Liberal I'm crying in my soup. But quite the contrary. I want him to do EVERYTHING he said he will do. To the max. It's selfish of me in a way since I have considerable personal savings and zero debt. So the pain his policies would inflict won't damage me as it will the nation as a whole. So I totally want him to impose the highest, maximum tariffs possible on every nation in the world. I totally want him to deport 10 million people. That'll be a pace of 8,000 people a day. Go for it, big boy. It all sounds so sweet and simple mumbled behind a sheet of bullet proof glass. The reality will be a TOTAL s++t s++w. Foreign countries don't pay the tariff. American companies pay on the delivery of goods they order. They in turn pass the cost along to YOU in higher prices. You can choose not to buy the item. Or look for something cheaper. But often cheaper isn't available. As would be the case for MAGA gear which is all made in China and Mexico. Net result, inflation...here. Not there. Add to this foreign nations, being sovereign and all will simply apply retaliatory tariffs on American goods. I doubt the farmers in Iowa will be thrilled about needing another bail out from Trump policies like the last time. In the end, no one wins and the world economy is hurt. But like I said, I'm good. So lets see this science experiment play out. The same with deporting 10 million people. You might want to "do you research" about the effects that will have. And no, butt tonguing sites don't count as research. Go Trump! Ban Abortion nationwide. End the Dept. of Education. Unleash Crazy Kennedy on Health Care. End Obama Care. Reduce Social Security. Privatize the Postal System. Bolt NATO. Do your best to hand Ukraine to Russia. Undermine Public School Systems in favor of Faith Based (only one "Faith" of course) school systems. Deport 20 million people. End Regulations on Businesses. More tax cuts. I'm here for it. I'm on your side Trumpies. Lets get a real look at the dreams and wishes vou've been tweeting on Truth Social and X. We will see if 'this' America is the America Americans really want. Of course I will be just as happy that his clown show proves to be incompetent and gets none of the above done. That works too works for me.
What other point of view can there be? Should he state Trump's only asset is that he's a great con man who sells garbage to the un- and ill-informed of our great nation and has no plan, no concept, no way to "make his garbage great again"? What else is there "positive" about this cruel, dishonest, inept, stage 2 frontal lobe dementia suffering greedy inhuman thing?

We might be “wealthier” however we are in a debt crisis, by TRILLIONS of dollars, a good portion is from the proxy wars our establishment keeps fostering, and now it looks like our healthcare system might take over it. There’s a lot that needs to be gutted, so we Americans want to just focus on fixing our country and not babysit the rest of the world, preferably before the damage is too severe to address. Also while the UK has been the few to hit their GDP mark of the defense budget just about the whole time (yay) turns out in recent years it was spent poorly that even the Biden administration had a serious talk with our British allies that they spent the money on useless thing and not of the focus on keeping the weapons maintained or at least updating them. I think the countries who have proven themselves are mainly the former satellite countries who’ve pulled their weight to even add more to carry some of the load, most Americans are going to let the new countries in NATO slide, but everyone else has ZERO excuse. Hell, even our Canadian neighbors are pissed at Trudeau for completely skipping NATo requirements (to be fair the fact they are our neighbor likely gives them the perks of not being as worried of a potential threat like other allies around the world) as many Canadians don’t like to take advantage of us, as well as they too have a culture of having some pride in looking after oneself. Keep in mind, only around a month ago our country was hit by a devastating hurricane that ruined parts of the landscape, our government was more than happy to send aid to continue these proxy wars and taking in millions of undocumented migrants at the expense of Americans, and only gave enough relief for the Americans who lost their homes or towns enough aid to barely get through the weekend. Oh, and they had the nerve to make those Americans be vetted for it. And now it’s being reported, by CNN who has been the forefront of anti Trump, that a FEMA worker was “removed” for encouraging other workers to ignore any assistance and aid to any house that supports Trump after Hurricane Milton had happened. After years of the propaganda and lies, it honestly feels like FINALLY after all of the years we have been vindicated! Keep in mind, we Americans have been suffering from poor leadership and crooked politicians BEFORE Trump got involved. I can estimate we’ve been in this turmoil for about 25 years, we still have a long way to go, while there’s a number who hasn’t self examine the gaslighting that has been happening for eons, a good portion of us are at a point we can finally look up to a more promising future.
Trump's tariffs are usually contingent on the foreign county's behavior. For instance, China was charging huge tariffs on U.S. goods coming into their country, while the U.S. was charging nothing or near nothing in the other direction. If China stopped that behavior, Trump would relent to a degree. But the fact is, U.S. companies have off shored almost all manufacturing because our taxes and regulations on the producers is insanely high and because labor is slave-level cheap outside the U.S. This isn't just hard on our job market, but is a national security issue. When we are dependent on a country that wants us to go down in flames for things like medicine and steel and other vital supplies, we're caught in a subservient position in order to keep those supplies coming. China in particular dumped inferior steel on the U.S. market to the point that our steel mills shut down. They also provided many of the things necessary during the Covid pandemic. BTW, you might ask WHY China was cornering the market on masks, etc. before the pandemic began? They bought up almost every category of necessary medical supplies from other countries (like Australia) months ahead. Tariffs can also be used to weaken the economy of adversaries, and to stop the invasion at the border by convincing the Mexican government to no longer allow migrants to flow through into the U.S.
My gosh, listening to this gentleman on the other screen, how did the world ever survive without America's military??? Here's what many Americans see: our state of Alaska is next door to Russia. We’re more than fine being PARTNERS but the world needs to quit being complacent and get their act together. As far as economic policies China is a economic predator, they have a bad habit of bringing in companies that other countries have run off due to tax and regulatory policies, tell them companies that China has to own the majority of the company. I have been very pleasantly surprised at how much a factor opposition to "forever wars" was in this election. I have felt myself for some time that the US should try to extract itself from Central and west Asia, the Middle East and Africa as much as possible (Iran's reported efforts to assassinate Trump himself as well as eliminate Israel may make that hard to accomplish) and many Trump supporters seem to feel the same much more than I had thought. As for NATO, Americans are tired of spending 3-5% of GDP while wealthy countries like Germany spend only 1%. Europe collectively has an economy and population many times that of Russia and should be able to defend itself. Americans increasIngly resent being Europe's sugar daddy. Finally, I don't see a big downside to high tariffs on Chinese goods. I do see one downside: China is our main source of certain strategic minerals and they could cut them off though I think we could find other sources. But Covid was a real eye-opener when it turned out that even such things as face masks came from China and we couldn't make enough of them ourselves. Similarly, the chemicals needed to make drugs as well as some drugs themselves and so many other vital things come from China. This dependence needs to be undone and high tariffs on Chinese imports is one way to force it to happen.

However, acting on orders from the US, Johnson wrecked it. Unfortunately, the interview was only seen on progressive/left media in the US which is very small because it's censored by algorithms. You have to remember, we basically have China Russia and N. Korea surrounded by our military. So I don't blame them from being nervous. I believe withdrawing some of that to end the war with Ukraine and make China less nervous.
There are somethings that (mainly) Non-Americans don’t seem to understand about our foreign policy regarding conflicts and wars. Every single dollar of aid given to another country is taken directly from the US Government’s Tax Revenue. Meaning we (The Citizens) pay taxes to fund wars that we have no physical involvement in. I also can’t understand why so many nations expect our sons and daughters to lay down and die for their causes. Since WWII The US Military has been fighting wars that are of no benefit to the general public. Not only are they of no benefit but the government has to borrow money from countries that we are at odds with to fund them. We currently owe $800 billion to China. We are on the brink of armed conflict with country who can cripple our entire economy at the drop of a hat. In the last 20 years we’ve spent $8 Trillion on wars that are set to continue for god knows how long. The American public is tired and fed up with being the world’s police force. If our government is truly “By the People and For the People” we should be allowed to have a say in whether or not our future generations will continue to sacrifice themselves for the good of people who don’t even have the will to stand and fight on their own.

Trump getting elected has already affected things around the world. Here’s what has happened so far: Putin has already said he wants to talk peace, Gaza has asked to discuss peace, European leaders discussing buying energy from the US, China wants to get on friendlier terms, stocks have gone up, Mexican president has turned a caravan of illegal immigrants around. That has already happened. So it seems it is a good thing.
The plan may or may not work out. It really depends on how well executed this goes, as the initial shocks could be drastic enough to plunge into a recession if done sharply, one which would give our adversaries enough time to recuperate or buildup to achieve their objectives. The unemployment rate currently is pretty low, though some of it is filled with less productive gig work and whatnot, so an increase in manufacturing could be beneficial depending on if gig workers and soon to be unemployed maritime trade related professions can transition. What I don’t agree to some extent with is a flat tariff on all imports (except China), as not everything we import is actually as useful or efficient or safe to produce domestically. For example, there are certain produce we just don’t grow a lot of in any case, which means slapping a tariff on such only raises costs for them without providing jobs domestically. Also, from a position of other countries, if they believe they can still export certain products to us, they would be more willing to work with us and keep trading with us despite those tariffs, meaning overall tariff revenue probably wouldn’t decline as much in response. For the sake of the economy, I’ll keep my hopes up that Trump was just speaking in hyperbole and that tariffs would be done with a more surgical approach. As for chinese imports specifically, I think a lot can be gained depending on the implementation. A good approach imo would be to keep raising the tariff 5% year on year, and anytime they do something we don’t like such as Taiwan military drills or South China Sea shenanigans, we slap on another 5% for each instance. Every year they don’t cause an international fuss we retract 5-7% on tariffs. A gradual ramping up and reflexive tariff I think would be the most effective way for China to just chill out, using the carrot and stick approach.
24:17 Mr. Luka, you got one part right. Ukraine is in a very difficult geographic location, caught in a tug-o-war between Russia and Europe. The part you got wrong -- and this is not your fault because you're young -- is that you don't know the complex history that led to Putin's invasion. I urge you not to form conclusions based on what you hear in mainstream media. The information they present regarding the cause of the war is not accurate. You have to go back to the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991 to understand what's happening today.
Tariffs are paid for by the country imposing them fyi. US tax payers will pay for any tariffs. Thats how tariffs work, and I don’t think almost ANYONE on the internet understands that.
And you don’t understand that just the THREAT of tariffs on very specific goods from very specific adversaries may make those adversaries think twice before acting in a way that would harm American workers. Just for one example… Trump threatened Ford with tariffs if they moved to Mexico… they quickly rethought that decision. John Deere.. same thing.. watch.. they’re not moving that factory.. 😂

NATO members haven’t been paying their fair share n the US have been carrying the burden for decades. We patrol the shipping lanes over the oceans n maintain bases all over the world to support NATO nations.

Probably not much may happen. Trump didn't do much in his first term because Congress stood against him, even his own party. The same may happen this time too.
Sorry, but for Our President, America is coming first.

Bolt NATO.
And our state of Hawaii is not far from North Korea. We would love to enjoy some peace for a while. Sending off our kids to endless wars gets really old.
yes it is a bit of a liberal source. but personally in my very limited experience most americans won’t care about international politics until the dollar in their pocket means a bit more at home and that is why he won
That was your mistake using your limited interactions. We care very much about foreign policy.
We do care about the state of the world, what we are getting pissed that so much is on OUR shoulders at OUR expense. This is more than Americans just care about their little bubble, for DECADES we’ve been put in this position to act like the world’s babysitter and it ends NOW. We’re more than fine being PARTNERS but the world needs to quit being complacent and get their act together.
I swear, this is exactly why more Americans are turned off specifically by entitled Western Europeans and more favorable having deeper ties with those in the Pacific. Nearly everyone there who has been bullied by China gets it, we know it will take time for them to learn to take the reins, but at least they know they need to step up.
Too few in Europe don’t and it will cost the continent.

Trump won the election. He will be president in 2025. Biden is leaving soon. This video is looking into what may happen when Trump returns to office.

Exactly! He tries to portray himself as unbiased, but in all his videos you can hear a subtext of snide, condescending, anti-American elitism from him!

I encourage you like another commentor said, to watch Brett Coopers video, "Why I voted for Trump". Most of the people you have looked at are liberal media AKA anti-trump. I think it's worth seeing both sides view points

Mr. Luka, are you aware that your former PM Boris Johnson scuttled a negotiation to end the Ukraine war in 2022? The agreement was essentially a done deal. However, acting on orders from the US, Johnson wrecked it. Victoria Nuland, former Secretary of State for European affairs, stated this unequivocally in an interview that was released about six weeks ago. Unfortunately, the interview was only seen on progressive/left media in the US which is very small because it's censored by algorithms. I will happily direct you to it so you can watch it for yourself. Simply reply to my comment if interested. Hundreds of thousands of Russian and Ukrainian lives could've been saved if the agreement happened. Unfortunately, the imperialist powers want the war to continue for their own reasons.
@@user-wc8fp4cx6c they ALWAYS forget that!!! Also, Biden, Boris Johnson and NATO started that war and told Zelenskyy to ignore peace talks! All Russian and Ukrainian deaths are on them!
I've known about this a while. It wasn't recently discovered as of 6 weeks ago. Some right wingers have discussed this at least a year or so ago. The Progressive left media isn't small in America at all. They actively covered it up with the exception of a few. The power brokers in DC pumped the brakes on peace.
One thing I can say only because D.J. Trump won. America now has a stake in the outcome.
It’s really cool that you’re willing to twelve into politics at all. I know you’ll probably get some mean comments no matter what you say, just ignore the angry people, they just can’t handle talking about differences in a calm manner. Politics is always divisive, but it can be fun when people are nice about it :)
Always appreciate your videos ❤!! You do a great job on everything! Thank you 😊. I'm probably going to dip out because it's been a long contentious election season and I'm taking a little break.

You have to remember, we basically have China Russia and N. Korea surrounded by our military. So I don't blame them from being nervous. I believe withdrawing some of that to end the war with Ukraine and make China less nervous.

@Lav Luka wrong guy to listen to here
who is right?

Especially when it comes to American politics, if you can't go directly to the source, reading the bill, watching the speech, watching video of the event rather than just clips, etcetera, there is no such thing as unbiased news. They are all biased one way or the other so the only way to get a balanced understanding of something when you can't go to the source is to watch them both and weigh the arguments against each other.
We don't like when people pussyfoot around!
The whole nato thing is about like not paying a security guard and expecting them to protect u
He's right, extreme tariffs do not benefit consumers or their economies.

I love Simon Whistler videos. What a strange reframing of US troops pulling out and condemning us for not being in enough wars though
Puerto Rican for Trump
❤ it. We are back!
@ I understand that. I was stating how tariffs work because we live in a world where people actually want the tariffs because they don’t understand tariffs.
And if all tariffs were bluffs they would not be effective as threats.. tariffs do indeed get imposed.
@@johnnyVSpok True however in this specific case Trump has been mainly talking about strategic and targeted ridiculously high tariffs, not the small ones we usually think of.
Tariffs cause over seas goods to become more expensive to give US business a chance to compete. Hence more jobs, more economy, etc.
Yes, the situation is....... Sticky 😂 3:14
Since the US is essentially one of the biggest consumers - tariffs are a great bargaining tool against other nations that depend on our purchasing n also defending them. NATO members haven’t been paying their fair share n the US have been carrying the burden for decades. We patrol the shipping lanes over the oceans n maintain bases all over the world to support NATO nations.
Right he more progressive then real USA.
Also it’s % of gdp spent on defense. No matter how much they spend, the percentage should be at a certain percent. 2% gdp of the US is muchhhh more than 2% gdp of Poland

Probably not much may happen. Trump didn't do much in his first term because Congress stood against him, even his own party. The same may happen this time too. The US form of government is designed to frustrate demagogues. In a British system the head of the Dem party would lead from the front not the shadows (looking at you. Obama). Neither Biden not Harris was ever head of the Dem party.
Why would Taiwan even need Starlink?
NATO is funded almost entirely by the US. So to ask them them pull theor own weight by percentage into the US economy isnt too much to ask. Considering its trillions vs millions. 😊
