Just finally saw this video a week after getting mine for the exact same rifle, same walnut! Such a HUGE improvement over the stock synthetic. LOP was also excellent.
I just bought and received a Boyd's stock. Went with the same spike camp sadly it didn't "drop in" like the factory stock. I had to sand down the lug area in order to get the screws to seat.. I'm definitely going to bed the rifle in the stock. I'm not sure if I'm going to tackle the job or pay a gunsmith to do it.. Good video and good results with your loads.
I'm moving more and more that way all of the time. This scope, however, will most likely have a permanent home on this rifle. This T/C Compass is exclusively a 100 yard and in deer-getter, and this scope holds zero and is more than adequate for it's intended purpose.
@@austintyler7991 Can't beat it for the price. One thing I didn't mention in the video, the grip is a little small for large hands. Wife loves it though!
Seems like a nice stock. I've been thinking about putting one on a right handed rifle for a left handed shooter. Is the grip and cheek rest ambidextrous or is it only made for right handed shooters?
I do! Just forgot to bring it this particular range trip. Most of my guns that get shot at 100 yards have scopes with a higher magnification, so I don’t have to use it until I stretch the distance out further. Thanks for watching!
@@kangwankhottawong8586 not sure on that, check out the Boyd’s website. You can enter your rifle model there and see what stocks they have available for it.

Gained a new subscriber. You already have a great channel. Cheers brother
I appreciate it, thank you!
I have the 270 win model like yours great review by the way, where'd you get the top picatinny rail?
I believe it’s an EGW rail.
@@TheOutdoorGeneralist ok thanks
Will the stock accommodate the 6.5prc Ruger American
First off, the scope makes the rifle! Don’t go cheap! You’ll never squeeze out the accuracy that your rifle is capable of.

that gun shoots just fine for hunting as is
I finally learned that lesson after countless Chinese junk scopes
Nice Video, glad that stock worked out so well. What Caliber is that rifle chamber in?
6.5 Creed!
Yea I'd like a few those for my Compasses. $99 is a deal. Maybe 3 for for Christmas

C. It’s completely ambidextrous! That’s one of the nice thing about a skeletonized stock like this versus a traditional thumbhole design.
@@TheOutdoorGeneralist That's great to hear, thanks for the quick reply. Merry Christmas!
What’s your barrel length on that rifle?
I believe this one is 22”
How long is the barrel?
22”
Y don't you have a spot scope
I do! Just forgot to bring it this particular range trip. Most of my guns that get shot at 100 yards have scopes with a higher magnification, so I don’t have to use it until I stretch the distance out further. Thanks for watching!
Is that high gross or standard?
Standard I believe.
@@TheOutdoorGeneralist Can it chamered in Rem 338 lapua? I am looking for thumbhole stock and Spike Camp is very beautiful and affordable

Just bolted it on and went to town!
