Legalized gambling is one of the biggest factors in the overall decline in pro sports period. Another symptom of the very dark times we are currently in, despite having more technology than ever.

With the amount of timeout leading to the gambling ads and all the fouls being called the players get constant breaks. They get so much rest because of this and they still have to load manage and miss games? This era is ridiculous.
The state of the NBA can be viewed as a microcosm of broader societal issues, reflecting a decline in competitive integrity, teamwork, and loyalty, which are essential values in any thriving community. With an increasing emphasis on individual stardom over collective achievement, fan disillusionment, and controversies overshadowing the game, we see a cultural shift that parallels the fragmentation and polarization in society at large. The NBA is basically warning us that the Roman Empire is falling apart.
The strangest part of this is that Trae hasn't been getting these calls all year. It's almost like playing and beating the Knicks and getting back into the media spotlight made the NBA change the way they were calling fouls for him. Worse still, the Hawks are third in pace on the year, barely behind 1 and 2. The excess of foul shooting probably *hurt* them in the long run because they could never establish and play to the pace that they had been utilizing to win games. It's all very strange. The league let teams play through contact in the first round, received positive feedback for it from the majority of viewers and then completely pivoted in the opposite direction and turned the next round into a foulfest. Why?
Gambling is going up at the same rate as "bad" officiating. The visceral, extremist denial you hear when suggesting that referees are meddling with the game for gambling purposes is exactly why it's not only possible, it's likely. It's not just the NBA, the NFL, MLB and NHL fans are all complaining about the noticeable increase in "bad" officiating. All four fanbases have noticed this at the same time? Yet all four are seeing things that aren't there, at the same time? And this same group delusion starts at the same time sports gambling starts? OK. Yet we can't even talk about it in a real way. Anyone that does gets immediately labeled as a conspiracy theorist, mocked as a nut job or brushed aside as fans just whining that their team didn't win. Referees are put on this unassailable pedestal as these incorruptible near angelic beings that are just not capable of doing this. This would be like a bank starting a new policy of the tellers having no oversight and being unquestionable about their jobs and at the exact same time the amount of money going missing from the bank skyrockets, yet saying it might be the tellers stealing the money gets you labeled a conspiracy theorist.
NBA for real talking bout viewership being historically down then not letting us watch our team without league pass and have horrible officiating with no transparency on nationally televised games. Why would I watch this??
How do Kris Middleton and AJ Green combine for 11 fouls in 41 minutes (while barely attempting to play defense), but Giannis, Brook Lopez, and Bobby Portis only combine for 5 in 94 minutes? Brook Lopez especially seemed like a particularly bad offender. I don't know if the refs just give him benefit of the doubt because he's near leading the league in blocks. I feel like he's the only center in the league that gets to start in the restricted area, leave his feet, bring his arms down over the defender, make contact body on body contact, not even touch the basketball, and still get away without a foul. And then they call a little hand in the back on the other end against Jalen Johnson. All this was to say the refs emphasize the wrong stuff when officiating the game, which irks me moreso than the actual number of foul calls.
Food for thought, Bally Sports, a company that has local streaming rights to 13 NBA teams, is owned by a company that also owns FanDuel. Its so obvious lol
How do people gamble on the NBA when it's clearly biased and rigged? 😂 Not to mention, they hate Jesus. “you cannot serve both God and Money” (Matthew 6:24).
I would just love for it to come out that someone hacked the league officials coms devices and overheard key phrases used that would indicate a formal conspiracy to rig games, is in fact taking place.
The NBA cup was only added for more gambling. I seen this the moment they started to talk about adding it. They said that they took it from soccer to improve intrest in the game, but it was because they wanted that soccer like gambling money. Gambling ruins all sport and worst of all, peoples lives. But it ok as long as your making even more money, thats the world we live in now, its all about money not people and what is right or moral and the sheeps will defend it. We are all screwed.
money talks. Thats why gambling became so prevalent. None of these greedy ceos are gonna turn down INSANE offers from gambling sponsors. And its all OUR fault ultimately because all of that money is literally from us tossing it in the trash bin labeled "fan duels"
and the vicious cycle continues like wildfire. The more it gets promoted, > the more suckers get suckered in, > the more money they can shell out to promote.
The ads while the gane is playing is disgusting. Volume and all. Ads on everything. Yall telling me the NBA cant sponsor its own highlight? All sold their souls

Man I remember the time when sports gambling was taboo
From the footage shown here, the Hawks got a moral victory. They weren't throwing nearly as many threes.
This game and the OKC vs Houston game were great. The refs made the games terrible due to all bad calls and ticky tack whistle calls.
Where you at my man? Wanna hear what you gotta say about the Championship game
Food for thought, Bally Sports, a company that has local streaming rights to 13 NBA teams, is owned by a company that also owns FanDuel. Its so obvious lol
always like to see Dame doing well.
very good game. esp because of effort on Defense
Can't watch a sports podcast without a gambling ad. Whether the video is 2 hours or 2 minutes there's a gambling ad or some type of alcoholic beverage
Allowing sports betting is a new new opioid crisis in the making.
How do people gamble on the NBA when it's clearly biased and rigged? 😂 Not to mention, they hate Jesus. “you cannot serve both God and Money” (Matthew 6:24).
Giannis "No more than 3 fouls ever" Antetokounmpo.
Shit is so fn rigged it's not even funny anymore.
3:05 That would be Adam Silver Grubber.
Lauren Bacall on the intro???
There is zero intensity between these clowns anymore
Are you planning on talking about the Sixers situation? They are looking worse then the Bulls 😅
Feel better soon.
I thought it was a pretty good game, but yes the gambling ads have just become too damn much in sports.
look at what gamblin has done to my boi, got em up all night wit a headache makin yt vids 😤
nah bro gamblin is all a scam, never chase losses
How do people get this bent out of shape about gambling. I get the same ads for thing I don’t like on Hulu so I just don’t watch the ads lol.
Refs take over the game. LET THEM PLAY NBA
i fkin get sick of gamba too bruh. It plagues everything i love from Counter strike to NBA
Legalized gambling ngl with yall has taken a fair share of my salary
After your vid went off a gambling ad pop on lmfao
Funny I was thinking the same thing.
money talks. Thats why gambling became so prevalent. None of these greedy ceos are gonna turn down INSANE offers from gambling sponsors. And its all OUR fault ultimately because all of that money is literally from us tossing it in the trash bin labeled "fan duels"
NBA is estimated to make 11%-15% revenue increases from gambling sponsors alone.
and the vicious cycle continues like wildfire. The more it gets promoted, > the more suckers get suckered in, > the more money they can shell out to promote.
You think that was bad; all the stuff they DIDN'T call in the first half 😆
8:40 Ended up bein the Thunder. Wish Chet was healthy but it should be a real interesting matchup still
Guys, I think he doesn’t like gambling
Gambling - Get Scammed, Go Broke and Homeless
Hawks missed 12 freethrows. They lost the game at the line
The bucks bench players look like newports
The gambling had bucks as 7th best in the East😂
The ads while the gane is playing is disgusting. Volume and all. Ads on everything. Yall telling me the NBA cant sponsor its own highlight? All sold their souls
