These interviews have been so eye opening to me and shocking to say the least. I went to Rods church when it first started, Back when it was called Word of Life. I left there over 32 yrs ago and looking back and hearing everything I’m disgusted at how this place has hurt so many people. This place is a CULT and no one should ever be treated and talked to the way RP and AP and a lot of the leadership do this to people. There is NO fruits of the sprit of God coming from that place, only fruits of Satan and his demons. I pray for healing to those who have been damaged by them. I pray that by people coming forward and exposing all that has and still is going on there that the doors will be shut. I pray for eyes to be opened of those still going there that won’t see these Podcasts. Thank you Robyn for your courage and you have a lot of support in what you have started.
Great job exposing that cult! We all have our own stories… terrible the way that place is… but I drank the koolaid for many years and was married there, by Rodney in 1989… things have been going down hill for many many years! Love your podcasts… keep on going! We support you 100%
The dorms are more like 30 years old and the youth choir was free labor to build and stain the furniture when they were built. How do I know? I remember staining furniture in the parking lot.
I almost became physically ill when this interview started, I was married into a family of narcissist, I’ve been divorced over a decade but this absolutely brought all the abuse and gaslighting back like a flood. The Parsley’s sound like demons, liars, masters of manipulation, evil, vengeful, and just plain crazy town. It’s absolutely narcissistic and it keeps you off balance, questioning your own reality, made to be responsible for other people’s bad behavior, decisions and they feign ignorance or gaslight when you don’t agree. It’s a spin cycle, rinse and repeat, there’s never a resolve and there’s never any growth.
Very grateful for this channel. It seems like Rod Parsley can’t face the reality that he’s just not that popular anymore, and he’s trying to hold on at all cost causing so much damage.
Really interesting, this college may have been around for a while but seems like a fly-by-night outfit, just skimming by everything minimally done. Maybe spending less on jet aircraft and more on creature comforts for the poor students would be a good idea. Robyn you are an awesome interviewer. The stories are spellbinding.
Do we ever think that they just use Valor College to use just as a labor pool and assistant staff or the promise of assistant staff so they don't have to pay them ? How many labor laws are they violating? It really seems like a bad pyramid scheme. Basically the Parsley's get all the money and everyone just serves them and they(the student) just have fend for themselves. It's just sickening!
Oh 100% a big part of it is for free money and labor. The work study program paid ten dollars an hour had a lot of people get money automatically deducted to go toward their bill, and MOST also had their tithe automatically deducted (which should be illegal IMO), so in effect some people were only getting 1 dollar an hour for their work. That is, of course, not counting the mandatory ministry volunteer hours you had to do every semester.
Great Podcast! I think deconstructing is essential to break free from this false doctrine or cult. It broke my heart with some things he said. These "preachers" will answer one day!
Just don't throw the baby out with the bathwater just because you find certain people with bad fruit doesn't mean that Pentecost is not real and that the Bible is not true the problem with deconstructing is that they deconstruct it to the point where there's nothing left and that's also a bad road to go down you got real genuine Christian people out there it's just the majority of people get caught up in this fakery deceptive ungodly counterfeit that they throw the whole thing away be careful about that
That's a GREAT point. He made himself a celebrity and a star. Folks are naturally going to honor and admire their pastor and spiritual leader. But the "expection" and grooming that took place fueled the fire on the star treatment toward him.
The theatrics and manipulation perpetuated by ldrshp is 😢😢😢😢😢 I'm praying for Restoration and Healing for all those mislead and hurt 🙏🏽 by this and I'm praying that God will Heal the whole body of Christ by His Stripes in Jesus name Love ❤️ you guys Praying for Divine Intervention and Great Grace for all
I am an HPS and a VCC graduate. Not only that but my grandfather was the first appointed elder for WHC. I can honestly say that everything Tyler said about Valor is spot on. It was so “painfully easy” that the rationale by students was almost completely absent. Reason was so far gone that in their minds there was a demon under every rock and around every corner. So with that being said, I started challenging myself and started educating myself bc I knew valor wasn’t goin to do it. They were there to just spoon feed us the WHC propaganda. The education (planning and execution) was so bad that sometimes we never really had class. We would have “holy spirit break outs” for days on end. And they would always say “man I had a plan for class but when the Holy Spirit moves like that, you can’t stop it.” Honestly I think this was just an excuse for their own incompetence bc this tactic was used pretty frequently. And honestly I’ve see it used many times in the service as well. And they still use it to this day, I know this bc I heard a family member regurgitate it to me and I said “nah dude they say that when they don’t have anything planned for class or the service.” Moving on from that, I too have a pastoral degree from there and I lost my faith bc of the whole experience and I became agnostic for 5-6 years. I renounced Christianity all together bc I believe everything that was taught to me from church, hps, and valor was meant to control me in the name of God and I wasn’t so sure that even the administration themselves believed the things they would espouse. I honestly didn’t know what to believe in anymore. It was a dark time in my life and my mental health spun out of control. But by the grace of God I came back to the faith about 5 years ago and ever since have lived on “faith and scripture alone” as a Christian mercenary not being affiliated with any church at all. I didn’t want to get too close to any ministry bc of my previous experience. So I kinda just met any believer anywhere I could and try to give encouragement in our Lord and Saviour Recently me and my wife have been attending an ancient church and we love it. No gimmicks, no propaganda, the leadership can be voted out by the those in attendance (so there’s accountability for those at the top of the hierarchy), and no prosperity gospel…ppl just love Jesus there. I know this comment may seem like an attack but it’s an acknowledgment of things that are done and said. I still love Rod and his family as a human being and as a brother in Christ. But I do not condone his behavior nor do I condone the prosperity gospel. I will always pray for him and his family. It truly breaks my heart to say and acknowledge these things. Calling a spade a spade is not disrespectful it’s just being honest. So I’m saying this as a friend and as a brother in Christ with love and respect. Turn around and renew your minds in the Lord so that you may prioritize the things that truly matter of the Kingdom. God Bless
Not surprised! I experienced this at my former ministry years ago. The pastors children got away with everything while I was excommunicated because the pastor had a vision that I was doing something evil against the ministry 🤷🏽♀️. The kicker …… I was married to the pastors son😂 with two children . My marriage was never the same. We eventually divorced. Rod Parsley is a piece of work😞
It's not all demons. Spiritual abuse and spiritual narcissism can lead to mental health issues by eroding self-worth, causing cognitive dissonance, and creating isolation. The trauma from such abuse can result in anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Additionally, the ongoing stress and potential identity crises can further exacerbate mental health problems. When people speak on behalf of God but do not genuinely live it out, it can be confusing and extremely distressing.
My son just graduated from Valor this past May. Tyler is correct about the Food Plan. It’s very expensive and if the student doesn’t use all of the money, the school doesn’t refund the difference. They have the students take the difference in the form of canned drinks. Mostly Ice Teas and energy drinks. My son ate lunch there when he could, but he very much disliked most of what they served for dinner. He said it was very unappetizing.
When I was there there wasn't even a distinct dinner option. You had breakfast and lunch, and generally I'd get two lunches and save the second for dinner, or save a couple for meals on the weekends.
If you can justify calling a secular dance as being “sanctified” once it’s on the platform this begs the question; “what else is unclean that they justify as being clean?” Such crazy logic and hypocrisy🤦🏻 This is the same logic/ justification every cult leader uses.
Good for you for speaking up Tyler. I remember in a class my husband and I were in at WHBC the instructor was trying to justify masturbation. I called him out on it and said “how can you justify that when the imagination is engaged when you do something like that, and Jesus said, if you even look at a woman with lust, you have committed adultery in your heart. he was speechless after that. I found out later that the same instructor was caught cheating on his wife with another student at WHBC/ valor. Evidently he was let go and there was no effort in the ministry to try and reconcile them. He left his wife and five children and got married two times after that.
I know exactly who you’re talking about. He was one of my instructors when I was at WHBC from “96-98”. I was absolutely shocked when I heard he’d left his wife. He’s on wife number 3 or 4 now and still in ministry. No accountability.
Thanks for sharing your story Tyler, If you happen to read this, two pastors I personally like very much are Peter Hiett and Brian Zahnd. Both are on UA-cam. God bless you brother.
“And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.” Matthew 7: 26-27
I understand that it was built on a flood plain. They had to back fill the property. The doors never worked right because the ground was always settling. I was there in around 02, I worked in facilities.
I can certainly understand the fear factor. We were taught way back when to "Not Touch God's Anointed!!" 10 years after I left there I was talking about Ellen (Mama) Parsley RIP and how I really was hesitant to give my opinion on her as I was genuinely fearful. The guys I was talking to who happened to be there when I was there as well said, "Its okay, your opinion is your opinion."
When the Flesh in the Church starts defamiliarizing and creates unnatural things not backed up by Sacred Holy Scripture it becomes a secular accredited normalcy by their Fruit you will know them
Have there already been or do you plan to do any interviews with anyone associated with the Elkhart IN WHC campus? My in laws are “elders” there and my wife and I have been trying for years to warn them. They’ve messed up the family due to their insane beliefs coming out of this church. They’re totally enraptured by this man and his family.
We went to the elkhart location for years until recently. That man praises them and the ln turns around and tells people how horrible they are doing I feel bad that people choose to think parsley is the best thing ever. I pray your inlaws see the truth soon.
The Christian celebrity world put Rod Parsley on a pedestal. He's considered a Christian celebrity. I no longer have celebrity idols, secular or Christian.
OMG the haircutting story! This man did the same thing to my fiance at the time. This is insane that this happened to other people. I remember going over to that house and thinking it was SO weird. His wife was a well known author too. They don't go to WHC anymore. I don't even think they are still married.
Yeah I believe they got divorced shortly after I left Valor. VERY strange and inappropriate behavior from that man, lots of people had similar experiences and bad vibes from him and some of the things he said and did. He's still "mentoring" young men to this day.
Yeah that's correct looking back on it. There were so many titles of so many people it's hard to keep track of them all. "CC" should be sufficient for anyone who isn't sure who I'm talking about.
I think I actually have a signed Bible that I got after interning the summer between my Jr and Sr years of high school. I never thought about how weird that is until now.
Tyler, You have a wonderful ability to express yourself. I loved listening to you speak. I believe It could still be God's will for you to think about going into the ministry. Hopefully you are continuing to read the Bible and pray daily, building yourself up in the faith. Perhaps your 'passion' was based on the wrong foundation. It shouldn't be any church or person, but only on your relationship with the Lord. As you seek Him, He can give you the passion you need to do His perfect will for you. I'm hoping it is the ministry in some capacity. Have you tried any conservative, perhaps non Pentecostal churches? I think there are some good solid, godly conservative Baptist churches out there.
Thanks again for these - I’ve watched every episode as it parallels my own personal experience in a very similar church ministry. This is not unique to WHC. QUESTION - I have watched every episode and I do not hear anybody commenting positively or negatively or anything about RP’s wife???? It’s seems it’s all RP & AP?
I think a lot of people just isn’t comfortable talking about Joni Parsley, but there are some shocking things about her. I see her as a victim mostly from what I found out about her. She definitely could use all the prayer she could get.
Joni is quiet and seems to generally be kinder (and less involved) than the other two. Her mother was always very kind to me when I was there! I met her a few times during church services and would periodically run into her in the halls. She always made a point to tell me I "look like I'm going to church" which felt nice.
I understand why names aren't being mentioned, but people who have been at WHC and VCC can probably figure out who most of these people are. Anyone who is familiar with Valor should know who that Director of Recruitment is, and anyone who was at Valor during the mid to late 2010s probably knows who those three sisters are.
I imagine they'll try to keep everything hushed in hopes that it'll all blow over, but it's always possible they'll decide to lash out again. Time will tell!
SO DOES THAT MEAN IF I OPEN A WINDOW THAT I HAVE A DEMON OF OPEN WINDOWS? is there any way i can get in contact w the guest? and another thing, it sems to me that Paul in Corinthians says, there are things you are doing that the world is not doing, in other words the world was living more holy than the church was thank u so much for your podcast
Trust me if leadership knew what those sisters were up to, they would have been pulled in for a conversation… one of those sisters was frequently spoken to about her habit of prophesying interesting things to other students. Eventually, she toned it down or was just better keeping it secret to prevent leadership from finding out.
Yeah that's all true. I brought it up mainly as an interesting story to really illustrate the amount of actual Biblical knowledge that the people at the school generally had, that it even occurred to them that that might be possible.
You know I always make a point to tell people these churches fall under the charismatics banner because the Pentecostal experience is very real the biblical Pentecostal experience where it convicts of sin where is sanctifies you wholly I wish people knew the difference between real Pentecost and charismatic they're going to look very similar to the undiscerning but believe me they're not
Ashton’s character??? Does she have any? Having watched her on a few broadcasts it seems as if she is a law unto herself, and everyone else is as she says reprobates. It’s always about the money and sex.
56:25 Maybe some marketing to parents?....being able to say, our policies are strict, why just the other day we saw two students getting to chummy and we put a stop to it......photo / pr opportunity to portray themselves as to be trusted....worthy of receiving money from Christian benefactors?
Amazing this church isn’t about Christ or salvation it’s all about money and power. There is no way to prevent people from expressing themselves in a homosexual way if they are thusly orientated. Rules and quoting scripture doesn’t seem to slow such activity down. Every Christian denomination has had to deal with it, some like Methodists have split on the topic. I don’t get it, I was a virgin when I got married at 22 following the rules. It seems like a problem at every religious school.
The Academics at Valor were very weak, the only program that was probably worth anything was the Music Program, in my opinion, and even then, most of the music students would probably not survive a music program at a normal university. And I say this, having been in the program, and saying that I wouldn't survive a music program at another college or university at a collegiate level.
I would agree with you. I attended there in 99-01, so years ago. At the time I saw it as for what it was. I went from there to OCU and on to Seminary. I guess I will say I got something from there during my time.
Absolutely. Some classes were better than others, but most of it wasn't anything more intensive or impressive than anything you might hear in a Sunday Sermon.
If you are called to be a pastor go pastor. The Lord has many sheep that need a pastor. Don’t give up. Allow the Lord to heal your heart and fulfill your call.
Ekklesia gatherings. The Body coming together, releasing the kingdom of God. Spiritual leaders laid on the foundation of Christ, lifting up the saints. Find these. Church is not what most have been told, and certainly not what has commonly been demonstrated.
Yahweh God Yeshua Jesus Hamassiach Savior Adonia Lord neutralizes deescalated racial barriers and even in the Book of Acts every tongue was understood... A'hmain Shalom

You know it's so plain to see that these people are false prophets and I truly believe that God is exposing all of this mess
that was a great answer and the only answer
Apostasy right before your spiritual eye
Never heard of the power of KFC in that manner before 😂😂
Thanks again for these - I’ve watched every episode as it parallels my own personal experience in a very similar church ministry.
@@brianna_monique_williams right - agree
@@brianna_monique_williamscan you respectfully elaborate?
Joni is quiet and seems to generally be kinder (and less involved) than the other two.
Her mother was always very kind to me when I was there! I met her a few times during church services and would periodically run into her in the halls. She always made a point to tell me I "look like I'm going to church" which felt nice.
Wolves in sheep’s clothes. Benny Hinn was also selling “apocalypse insurance “
and another great episode
I understand why names aren't being mentioned, but people who have been at WHC and VCC can probably figure out who most of these people are. Anyone who is familiar with Valor should know who that Director of Recruitment is, and anyone who was at Valor during the mid to late 2010s probably knows who those three sisters are.
Wow!
After these podcasts, will WHC try to do damage control or will there be more reprobate sermons?
I imagine they'll try to keep everything hushed in hopes that it'll all blow over, but it's always possible they'll decide to lash out again. Time will tell!
After this interview, I'm fully expecting a law suit of some type.
@@tylerhamilton737 You were a great guest, very clear and concise and funny!
@@JimandTammyThePTLChronicles Thank you very much! I am glad people seemed to enjoy.
2016 was the Bible signing
yep!!
WOW!!!!!!
I am shocked any Christian goes to this church.
Covering up criminal activity…sounds like the CIA 🤦🏻
Rod Parsley = Eli the high priest.
Ashton Parsley. = Hophni and Phineas
56:25 Maybe some marketing to parents?....being able to say, our policies are strict, why just the other day we saw two students getting to chummy and we put a stop to it......photo / pr opportunity to portray themselves as to be trusted....worthy of receiving money from Christian benefactors?
Yes, I had to remind the camera operators from control room you had a name.
You unfortunately added no Value nor we're you a TV Director.
well, maybe he should get in front of the camera and confess, repent.
If your really going to expose this crap names should not be redacted. Expose them!
I agree
Amazing this church isn’t about Christ or salvation it’s all about money and power. There is no way to prevent people from expressing themselves in a homosexual way if they are thusly orientated. Rules and quoting scripture doesn’t seem to slow such activity down. Every Christian denomination has had to deal with it, some like Methodists have split on the topic. I don’t get it, I was a virgin when I got married at 22 following the rules. It seems like a problem at every religious school.
Time to read the Hebrew Scrolls in its original original language it was penned...where is the It Is Written
Oh My GOD!! How disgusting!!
Same here for Pastoral Theology in ‘96.
Find these. Church is not what most have been told, and certainly not what has commonly been demonstrated.
what horse crap!!!
Yahweh God Yeshua Jesus Hamassiach Savior Adonia Lord neutralizes deescalated racial barriers and even in the Book of Acts every tongue was understood... A'hmain Shalom
You're a nut job! What you're saying is not Germaine to the video interview.
Off the wall comments.😮
