Investigators who have worked on Virginia’s previous murders were definitely not very bright. Virginia’s daughter was found dead by an apparent hanging in 1972-her daughter was just 3 years old! What toddler commits suicide by hanging themselves?! Absolute incompetence.
@@milescorporosus4058 In this case I'm not entirely sure about that. First, its kind of weird to have a life insurance policy on a 3 year old payable to a parent. I have really never heard of anyone ever doing that before. You'd think its the other way around. The second thing is that I'm not sure 3 year olds hanging themselves is really that common in practically from the scenario we expect. To be hanged you have to be off the ground and I don't know many situations where it would be possible for a toddler to get themselves off the ground and into a noose by themselves. I could see them getting tangled in cords and all that, but still being on or relatively close to the ground at that point.

Yes! Throw these sick perpetrators off a cliff, preferably a cliff located in such a way that they would fall into an ocean below full of very hungry sharks.

I saw this episode on another program where they showed more photos of Donna Hartman having her left foot pointed towards the road, and not forward towards the ocean, like she was holding herself trying not to fall. And this attorney, Mr. Steve Keeney , showing how she was supposedly pushed down the cliff. Also, in that show, they said that the Elavil was giving to Donna inside Virginia’s car by this woman because Donna was supposedly “depressed” about her separation from her Navy husband. Maybe because Forensic Files is only a 1/2 hour show, they don’t show everything. Anyway, Donna Hartman fell victim of a greedy, cold blooded woman and husband who saw the opportunity to earn money from Donna’s life insurance. So very sad and tragic that a young woman lost her life. What a pair of cold blooded killers Virginia and husband were! Unbelievable. Mr. Keeney is an elderly man today. An awesome job by everyone involved in this case, excellent done. Hats off to all of them! 🙏🙌🙌👍👏👏
First, I can’t believe the insurance company did not take a closer look when the death occurred only 1 day after the policy was taken out. That should have sounded alarm bells. Also, I did not know that proceeds from a life insurance policy could be collected on that soon after being taken out anyway.
I take Elavil nightly for migraine prevention, and it makes me sleepy within 30minutes to 1 hour. That's so messed up, that they sneak that medicine in her drink. She probably was so drowsy, and sleepy not even realizing what was going on. RIP Donna 🙏🏿 ❤
The more I watch these crime shows, the more I realize that I'm better off in the company of rattlesnakes, hungry sharks or any other vicious animal than in the company of human life forms. RIP, Anne. May these murderers burn in hell for what they did to you.
Omg i have watched JUSTICE FOR ANNIE, all this time i thought it was just a movie from LMN, which is on UA-cam also, but this sounds just like the movie, its a 90’s movie but it tells almost like this.
@kimmyfreak200 Yeah I remember the water logged episode about the mother and her 2 daughters that one has stuck with me traumatized me that was straight up Barbaric
@princeofdarknessxyz1 It was about a mother and her 2 daughters back in June 1989 down in Tampa Florida that was charmed by a serial killer to get on his yacht with him he promised them a sunset cruise but he was just a psychopathic serial killer they accepted his offer they went on the yacht cruise with him when they got out in the middle of the ocean he bound and gagged them and tied them up to 50 pound concrete cinder blocks and threw all three of them overboard while they were still alive you can watch it here just type in forensic files water logged You tuber Mr Ballen did a video about it as well just type in Mr Ballen and then type in what this man did will haunt you
I saw this case on another crime show a while back. I remember saying to myself the same thing I am saying now. How dumb do you have to be to buy life insurance on someone, then kill that person the next day, then try to collect the insurance the day after the death? Seriously they didn't expect police and the insurance company wouldn't ask questions for all that to happen in 3 days? Jesus....at least wait 6 months before the "accidental death" and at least wait until after the funeral to collect the insurance. Then to add even more stupidity, they take pictures of the scene after the "accident"? Did they not know that kind of camera makes it easy to know the order the pictures were taken?
Seal Beach isn't exactly known for a high murder rate. The investigators probably don't have a ton of experience. If this happened in Santa Ana it would be different.
Because the photos are not the victim her real name is Deana wild and the pictures and victims names where changed per request of the family. Look up Deana wild and the picture of the girl in the black shirt is the real victim you can even see a picture where Deanna is slumped against BJ proof that one of the pictures in the show is just a reenactment of that. The other pictures on Google have her with 80 style hair and a photo quality more akin to something from the 80s
@jacksonmoore5696 i didn't realize that was an actress playing the victim. I although thought the actress looked very very similar to deanna(donna in this episode)
The husband died of HIV-related complications. Virginia died in prison in 2011. So that means she was in prison for 20 years or so. Ending a young girl's life for a lousy $35K!
i can't hear the words "life insurance" anymore without thinking of the theme song from That Chapter lol. I remember watching his video on this case, it's just awful.
@@princeofdarknessxyz1 They were reenactments of the real pictures look up pictures of Deana wild and you'll see a Young woman with 80s hair and grainy photo quality and you'll see what the forensic files picture were reenacted from
All insurance companies should have a database like police do to tell them immediately had people claimed before if the circumstances were suspicious and compulsory to notify police and make it massive fines if they don't the only way to hurt them is through their pocket not their heart I'd like to know the circumstances of her previous claims particularly her own daughter, what a dangerous psychopath thank goodness her relatives had her death investigated

@@craigime actually if most people felt the way I did our world wouldn’t be grossly overpopulated with unwanted kids or with people who can’t afford them. And yes that is my opinion. The majority of people popping out kids abundantly are low income people who either don’t care or who choose to manipulate the system to survive off children. It’s pretty gross in my opinion. Just my opinion. Also it’s silly to invest in life insurance in general. Just my opinion. If you have the money to invest in insurance you should invest elsewhere. As far as paying for a basic funeral or cremation. I have no doubt that it’s included in the welfare system if your low income. If most people buy life insurance for their children because in the case of their death, they insist on a super extravagant $15,000 funeral. Fine. I could deal with that. I wouldn’t. But I can respect that. I just maybe watch too much true crime and see so many people killed for the money. I hate life insurance.
@@toniroberts8117 actually, if most people did what you did, it would go the other way and the world would be grossly *underpopulated* which would be bad for countries' economies... you hate life insurance- that's cool. i'm glad that neither you nor anyone in your family has it then. i'm glad you're not married, have no kids, and don't plan on having any. it'll save you much in the end- then you can donate that money to your local hospital.
The McGinnises were a piece of work, especially Virginia who to me, was a serial killer having so many “accidental tragic deaths” in her past. Virginia was a wicked witch, evil, cruel, cold blooded woman who have no regards whatsoever for a human life, and who lured Donna Hartman being such a young lady -only 20 years of age-and vulnerable for one purpose only: to kill her and get Donna’s life insurance. My my , talking about monsters in a human body. Too bad that Virginia never was charged for the many deaths she had in her family and others…..she was a serial killer in disguise, that’s for sure. Poor Donna, trusted this couple who were murderers and wolves in sheep’s clothings. May Donna Hartman Rest in eternal Peace 🙏🌹
So, um... in my experience w/ amitriptyline, those side effects of "dizziness, sluggishness, drowsiness" or as he said "falling asleep on your feet" ... those were blackouts. It was slowing my heart rate to a fatal level, occasionally sopping or "stuttering" my rhythm so my BP crashed & I'd hit the ground. I ended up at the ER w/ a heart rate at 27 bpm 😳😬. I wonder if her reactions were the same? It's hard to fight through. I also want to know why she wore high heels sightseeing? And with a jeans n t-shirt outfit? These aren't adding up to me as "normal" atire or a cohesive outfit. IDK maybe it's just me.
At 14:24 Mr. Keely said " Every house she lived in burned down to the ground" 😅 Even her neighbors would say she's the most unfortunate woman on the planet 😂
Insurance companies need to change their policy! People who apply for life insurance should have to apply IN PERSON, with photo ID and witnesses. I don't understand why they don't do this... only exception is for people who are bedridden and home bound, but everyone else should have to apply in person.
whats crazy is this episode shows reenactment photos..the real ones are hard to come by..as they felt it disrespected the victim..but i'm watching a documentary on REAL CRIME channel on YT "Mysterious Cliff Fall"...it shows the real ones which i never saw before but always wondered...they are way creepier for obvious reasons
That was grimy if u think 🤔 about it, if I’m the lawyer on the opposing team I’m pissed! Who asked to see the murder scene? That is persuasive. Not fair at all. I would sit there too and b like OMG. Look at the cliff!!! These lawyers r good. If they go to the cliff, your case is lost.

Me too ...I watch this at LMC few years ago....
What was it called?
@@brandonallen3808 "Death Benefit"
@@brandonallen3808 Justice For Annie (1996).
Diabolical yes, cunning no.
Just $35,000!? I hope it was worth it. What degenerate lowlifes!
That was on purpose as to not arouse suspicion
But it adds up if one gets it over and over
Attorney Steve Keeney is there in years…..I saw him on TV and didn’t recognize him until he spoke, his voice still the same. He was great and absolutely instrumental in solving this case as well as all the investigators to bring justice to Donna Hartman and her family.
Agree
Heartbreaking
All for insurance money smh 🤦
At least half of the murders documented on this show revolve around insurance money. That mighty dollar's definitely the root of all evil.
I’m surprised they still prescribe that stuff, it’s super old school. Interesting it works for migraines, I know we sometimes give Benadryl in the ER
@@lisasmith767 Yes, it's prescribed in low dose for migraine prevention. Yea, it's an old medication
so THIS is why they taught us the Pythagorean theorem…
Every time my boys complain about what they learn in math class, I use forensics to show how it might help one day
The more I watch these crime shows, the more I realize that I'm better off in the company of rattlesnakes, hungry sharks or any other vicious animal than in the company of human life forms.
RIP, Anne. May these murderers burn in hell for what they did to you.
It's like a fox and a wolf. Who do you trust more? You know what the wolf is capable of. It's the fox that's in question.
There’s a lifetime movie about this case called Death Benefit. Excellent movie from the late 90s.
Omg i have watched JUSTICE FOR ANNIE, all this time i thought it was just a movie from LMN, which is on UA-cam also, but this sounds just like the movie, its a 90’s movie but it tells almost like this.
I have seen that movie and Winnie Cooper from The Wonder Years was in it.
One of the most scariest episode . It's like real time bcos of the pic right before her death... glad she got justice 🥳
this episode and water logged episode..i can't even...its stuff of nightmares
@kimmyfreak200 Yeah I remember the water logged episode about the mother and her 2 daughters that one has stuck with me traumatized me that was straight up Barbaric
"Stick 'em Up" is another episode that features a gruesome murder.
@@bfer95 waht was the water logged episode?
I actually saw the movie on this story. And the young lady was played by Winnie from The Wonder Years
Danica Mckellar
@@MillerGenuineDraft1980 Yes I know her name
The movie's called Justice For Annie (1996).
@@m.hstudioproductions6642 Yes it is.
@@beautifulwonderful4391 Not to mention that I've seen it as well!
These people are FKN SICK
Seal Beach isn't exactly known for a high murder rate. The investigators probably don't have a ton of experience. If this happened in Santa Ana it would be different.
*It's so CREEPY and EERIE as to how similar or identical the actors looked like compared to their counterparts😱*
The son was in prison and the parents also were arrested , every house Virginia lived in burnt to the ground. I love the comments of the detectives.
why all her houses were burnt??
In episodes like this you can hear Peter Thomas’ anger and digest at the Murderers.
This is completely nuts! Great episode FF
Usually people don’t look like killers, but I wouldn’t trust that Virigina to look after a pet rock
The financial downfall and water logged are the two forensic files that have stayed in my head for all these years now
True friends are rare 😢❤❤❤
I watch this one already oh well lol 2022 ntn to do still single lol 😆
Me too :(
Same here....
Yea they keep uploading re runs
Or my
Don't worry I swear I have watch ALL of the shows that this program has put on UA-cam! It's official, I'm hooked!
The husband died of HIV-related complications. Virginia died in prison in 2011. So that means she was in prison for 20 years or so. Ending a young girl's life for a lousy $35K!
And is now in hell being dropped down the cliff of fire over and over again into eternity
HIV did him a great service but did not kill him soon enough

That poor girl 😞
3:21 I hope someone climbed down to get that shoe in the reenactment. 🤣🤣🤣
i can't hear the words "life insurance" anymore without thinking of the theme song from That Chapter lol. I remember watching his video on this case, it's just awful.
Justice is served! I'm glad they got caught for their crimes.
Live with possibility of parole is justice ?!
Donna's real name was Deana Wild.
what about the pictures of Deana in this episode?
They probably do. Insurance never wants to pay
I watch these at night time fresh out the shower under the covers
No way that I would be there at the edge of that cliff as a juror or otherwise……NO WAY! I am afraid of heights and it gives me vertigo. It might be a very gorgeous place to visit but NOT ME, not at all.
I thought the same thing!
How many times has that lady done the same thing before?
This couple are monstrous. Absolutely horrifying predators.
I don’t understand to this day why life insurance is available on a child? It’s not like parents generally depend on a child’s income to survive.
so that they can pay for the funeral in case something happens... is that so hard to understand?
@@craigime kind of. It cost me $1500 to do my dads services.
Anyone who doesn’t have plenty of spare money shouldn’t have children. Just my opinion.
I always wanted kids. But I didn’t, they are very expensive and very time consuming.
@@toniroberts8117 ok, well thankfully most people don't rely your opinion- especially since most people don't have "plenty of spare money", so your way of living would be devastating for countries. don't use your lifestyle as a model for others... obviously you have to pay for the insurance. but funerals are expensive- so the insurance money would come in handy- it's as simple as that. absolutely nothing hard to understand there.
The movie "Death Benefit" (1996) starring Peter Horton is loosely based on this episode. Made for TV but great acting.
I guess 70% episodes wont have been there if the concept of life insurance never existed
So, um... in my experience w/ amitriptyline, those side effects of "dizziness, sluggishness, drowsiness" or as he said "falling asleep on your feet" ... those were blackouts.
The witch Virginia I bet asked her to put it on. "Oh you'll look so cute with the heels"
At 14:24 Mr. Keely said " Every house she lived in burned down to the ground" 😅 Even her neighbors would say she's the most unfortunate woman on the planet 😂
2:48 Actually it’s a particularly ironically funny event LOL
Seek therapy lol
Insurance companies need to change their policy! People who apply for life insurance should have to apply IN PERSON, with photo ID and witnesses. I don't understand why they don't do this... only exception is for people who are bedridden and home bound, but everyone else should have to apply in person.
those pics right before she died are SO creepy especially the one where shes clearly about to get pushed SMH crazy AF...
whats crazy is this episode shows reenactment photos..the real ones are hard to come by..as they felt it disrespected the victim..but i'm watching a documentary on REAL CRIME channel on YT "Mysterious Cliff Fall"...it shows the real ones which i never saw before but always wondered...they are way creepier for obvious reasons
I bet she never thought math would put her in prison.
One day!??? Damn
If you want to know more about why the coroner did such a bad job according to the prosecutor, watch John Oliver's segment on coroners/medical examiners. Coroners are an *elected* position in the US, and are often filled by people who have no medical expertise at all.
John Oliver is a hack.
John Oliver is effeminate eurotrash, and has been convicted of frottage.
