Lisa is so good that most of the time I don't care about the phones. But being a phone sales guy I have to know this stuff. And she presents it well. Good job
Glad to know there are actually some phone sales guys who know their stuff. I'm so frustrated when people buy "worse" phones because of the sales guy. Nice of you!
Rafael Boy I worked selling phones for a month... most my co workers were ase uninformed as most costumers, and I noticed that gives Samsung a ton of sales, lol
Thanks for the review Lisa - who does anything but look at their phone face on? Actually poor viewing angles on a phone might be considered a privacy feature ;)
verizon has the moto X 2nd gen and LG G3 for free with a 2 yr contract right now 12/26/14, i want the droid turbo but the LG G3 is very appealing, got great reviews from ppl on the verizon web
Not anymore - now Verizon has the LG G3 for $99.99, and no more free G Pad 8.3 with it, either. I was going to get those with my upgrade next month. Way to bust my bubble, Verizon.
***** they prob will have it free again or try best buy, they have phones there most of the time cheaper than verizon, i got my last 2 phones at best buy
eliza gonzalez Thanks so much for that, Eliza - Best Buy has the LG G3 for $1.00 with a new 2-year contract. I'll definitely be going there in a month (I hope the sale is still on in a month)!
I appreciate your thorough reviews so much, quick question: does the LG Camera's superior software photo processing still apply if you put a more vanilla custom ROM on it or no?
Seeing as Motorola killed all future updates for the Moto X 2014 carrier locked models, looks like the G3 came out on top in another area: Software support.
The LG G3 being the much superior device! ;) The LG G3 is GORGEOUS! Super thin bezels! Amazing camera! Bigger battery! Beautiful UI with a ton of useful features! Etc... Yes, these turds will argue that "specs aren't everything" yet, if and when Motorola launches that new Droid smartphone, specs are suddenly going to be relevant. Hypocrisy is everywhere!
Coming from someone from the UK, and a Moto X owner, The Droid Turbo wasn't released here and won't be. It's actually Verizon's phone specs wise, which just happens to be manufactured by Motorola. The LG G3 was my 2nd choice btw,
I like the G3 but like you were say, there is definitely or was definitely lag. Had to remove all the AT&T bloatware and some of the LG apps then it was fast comparible to my old Nexus 5. The one thing I'll say is this took rooting the phone. I also went over the ART instead of Dalvik. Had G3 for a couple weeks, as soon as Nexus 6 is out i'm selling.
Went from lg g3 to the new moto x. Had the g3 2 weeks ( I take very good care of my phones) but g3 was scratching like mad the screen in no way could have been gorilla glass 3 and the plastic on the body was scratching and bending ( yeah weird ) horrible build quality it wasn't put together well. But my moto x is just miles ahead in every way shape and form. So glad I changed ( besides horrible battery life and camera ) I'm very pleased with new moto x.
LMAO it's hilarious how she downsizes EVERY SINGLE one of the MANY advantages the G3 has over the MotoX2g; like "oh it has infinitely better resolution? Pshhh who needs resolution, oh the camera's better? Pssh I never use a camera anywho" and when she gets to the VERY MINISCULE advantages the MotoX has; "Wow! Look at all the pretty colour options! This is clearly the better phone!" You can almost taste all the BS bias in this video XD.
Pixel density. 2K will be enough on a 5.5inch display. Viewing angles ? Really ? Everyone uses their smart phones at least 0-35 degrees from the centre.
soleil3gs I have both phones. The G3 is a marvel with it's screen to bezel ratio. It's like ALL screen. However, the curved down glass on the Moto makes swiping feel nicer than on the G3. X runs smoother. G3 still runs really great, but has some bugs. The X has yet to give me any problems. Everything is fast, smooth and reliable. I'd say they both look fantastic. Hard to pick a winner just looking at them (although if you customize your own X it has a special feel to it that really wins you over and makes it more endearing and personal). But the X feels better in hand. More premium. It's like 9/10 vs 8/10 in hand feel. It goes tit for tat in terms of ergonomics, but in the end the X's active display takes the cake for usability. Not to mention the auto driving detection, hands free, read aloud notifications and all that stuff. Every piece of software added to the X is a HUGE winner, while the G3 is more hit and miss in terms of added software and features. The G3 wins screen, IMO. Hard to tell difference in sharpness and I love the blacks of AMOLED on the X, but the G3 is such a big screen for the size of the phone and it's just luxurious. The colors are pretty accurate and it's just pleasant to look at. Now, this comes at the expense of heat. The X stays cool for the most part (playing games while charging might heat it up, but otherwise you're good), while the G3 gets so hot it sometimes has to force the brightness of the screen down for a bit to cool itself down. And it's easy to feel the heat when you touch it. I like my X more than my G3. I won't be switching back. I feel like I upgraded when I switched from the G3 to the X. I loved my N5, but the screen had bad light bleed and was just bland in general. The feel was great, but not very premium. The stock experience was amazing, but the X takes it entirely and just improves on it with some simple ideas that make a HUGE impact on usage and when those features are gone, you miss them. Bad. Battery life on both phones seems similar. I bought the turbo charger for the X and it is VERY quick, which mostly makes up for that. The G3 has a removable battery which makes up for it's battery "issues" (if you want to call it that. I think it's average for these phones). It also has MicroSD which is another huge plus and comes standard with 32gigs. The X I bought was $350, customized, with 32 gigs of storage. I stream almost everything so this is plenty for me, but it depends on the person if this might be considered a problem. Both are amazing. X is more functional and personal. G3 has an exceptionally large and nice screen for the size. I'd go with the X. I also have an Ultra Z which is amazing at the around $200 price it's going for now. You get so used to the HUGE screen that everything else feels small and wrong. It's also a better performer than the G3, but not the X. The X will be having some HUGE sales from here until the new one drops. Even when the new one does drop, this will still be one hell of a phone. I'm gonna stick with it until the 4th gen X gets close to being announced then either buy the third gen at a discount or maybe look into getting an Asus. Their new 64bit phone has 4gb of ram, an intel processor, 5.5 inch 1080p screen and great design/looks for around $300 outright. No contract. By the time I'm ready to switch phones again, we're all going to have some amazing, high end and low cost options. I think the days of the premium ~$700ish phone are coming to an end. The Premium ~$300ish flagship phones are coming and they are coming fast.
Moto X and Nexus are easily the most overhyped phones. Batteries are never that great and cameras are average at best. Stock android doesnt run any better or save you any battery. Besides most of the customization implemented by companies are usually for the better. At times i feel that stock android is about a year behind what Samsung (etc) adds to their phones when it comes to accessibility and ease of use. Nexus and Moto X should easily always be under $350. If not spend the extra 100 bucks and get another phone with one the best cameras on the market and battery that last about twice as long compared to moto and nexus
I agree that stock Android is overrated. Stock doesn't mean better, why would it be? And yes, battery life tends to suck on stock androids. Moto X does look stock, but it is not, though.
***** I had a Nexus 4 and now a Moto X. Both are good phones, the Moto is a bit better than the Nexus BECAUSE it has extra non-stock features (the Moto isn't stock). And ***** as it was pointed before, G3 is not touchwiz, TouchWiz is a Samsung only interface, all brands have their own. Anyways, I'm tires of Android, I'll move permanently to iOS ASAP. (At least on phones). PS: If you like the stock UI you can install it on any phone anyways.
Near stock Android does run smoothly as apposed to skinned Android. Just like Lisa said the G3 is packet to the gills with software and because of it, lags on occasion. Samsung? I'd rather have a few useful features that ALWAYS work instead of all the "wow man look what my phone can do" crap that works part time. Lol
"Besides most of the customization implemented by companies are usually for the better" LOL " stock android is about a year behind what Samsung (etc) adds to their phones" LOOOOOOL TouchWiz is a piece of shit.

Specs aren't everything
Agustin Barajas Funny, but when it comes to the DROID Turd, specs are everything, huh, hypocrite?
Tony Salinas They're still not everything....lol
Tony Salinas no need to be ignorant obviously specs and everything because if they are Iphones wouldn't be so popular

Keep up the great reviews!!
Had an LG G3, the battery life sucked. It would consume at least 1.5% battery per minute.
Are you going do a review on the lg flex 2 when it comes out
Does anyone know what the accent color is on her Moto X? I was thinking it was the metallic bronze bc thats what it looks like but idk.
Went from lg g3 to the new moto x. maybe you bought g3 clone....... never got any issue like that.......
Have not had a single problem of that sort one time.
It was from Verizon so not sure. I don't think it was a clone. Also could have just been a bad egg.
Good review, I like the Moto X
Great video, very informative and professional. Thanks!
Would like to see a moto x / iPhone 6 smackdown
Can you do another comparison now that Moto x 2014 has Lollipop?
Hi. Lisa I think its time for note 4
Can you do one for the moto x and htc one m8.

What phone do you have?
Can you review the moot g
I wonder why people always dis Samsung but not LG for plastic, yet now Samsung has the nicer phone. Also I do love the Moto X in black leather.
What nicer phone?
Seria ótimo assistir esses vídeos com legendas :/
Mix the audio mono next time. Very distracting for the voice over to bounce from left to right constantly.
Like the new intro.
Great job thanks!
Loved your comparison
LG G3 is the winner for me :)
Can you review the moto g?
I'll be reviewing the 2nd gen Moto G very soon :)
cha cha cha chaaaaan!! This ought to be good!!! Gooo LISA!
I love you Lisa
thats the lg g3 vigor I thought it was the better one
need drop test and scratch test of new moto x 2nd gen....
Looks like the G3 has better wifi signal.
G3
you look a little old for knowing anything about smartphones but you actually know a lot! :)

The LG display is JUNK! I wouldn't be caught dead with either of these phones.
Moto x is better . Voice comand and moto display and performance much superior.
But battery life is not good
soleil3gs i dot care...just buy a portable phone charger and end of the story... Moto X is the shit!
IPhone 6 dose not bend iv got the 6 and 6 plus
Me vs my sister's phone

Don't be such a jerk, I enjoyed this video as much as the other comparison videos of other youtubers
+gbo123 I dont care, G3 has way better battery life. Its the best!!!!
soleil3gs u know the x has a better battery performance than g3 right? look at gsm battery life on google and look at the chart.
