In all fairness to the spike mine, it will be more effective overtime during an actual race. As you will be spinning out almost every turn you go around

@@panosvali4486 Slick seems to be a more extreme version of what Spike will do. But you only need to his someone with spike once whereas Slick needs to be hit on every corner for it to be effective.
Slick is probably better outside of AW too in your defence, Though could someone with the spike mines confirm if they can damage bulletproof tyres?
If they do, I'd argue its better, if not.. Definitely Slick.

Yea, for free mode I would go with spikes, as that is the only one causing real damage. (Unless you have bulletproof tires)

Spike causes permanent damage to the tire though so in the long run it will be the best.

EMP slowes if you are been chased, slick is good for mountain turns, kinetic is also good on high roads where vehicles can fly off the road (and in groups), sticky can be used in tight street crosses and spiked is also useful against you'r chaser, if you're been chased for.
It’s worth noting the only mine with a permanent effect is spike.
Edit: But armored tires are a thing
Well, 2 spikes and that's fixed. If it still doesn't work, then put a slippery, a EMP, then a sticky and immediately a kinetic one. It would be at least 10 seconds of no movement.

Actually, an EMP mine does not effect a Lada in real life because it's an analog carburettor piece of metal that works even if 3 of 4 pistons flew out of exhaust tube

The reason that makes EMP the best is because it guarantees the stall time like 4 or 5 seconds while other mines depend on the environment to get the most of the purpose

Although the EMP mine is great overall, you should also consider the effectiveness of the other mines in different scenarios. For example, the spike mines are better for long term on vehicle owners who don’t have bulletproof tires because they’ll be slipping and sliding at every turn.

A single Spiked mine has more value than the others over a longer chase, because its affect doesn't go away. On the other hand, you could keep using more of the other mines, while a second Spiked mine may not do anything if there aren't more tires left to shred.

@@arcticlegend564 on the cars tested , they were rear drive. If the mines blew up the back tires those cars would have a much worse time because their acceleration and speed would be affected.

Assuming it's possible, I think the proximity mines are meant to be combined instead of single. I know it's impossible mid-car chase to slap down a stick and EMP mine, but what if you're ambushing someone? Think of how incredible it'd be if you combined an EMP, Spike and Slippery/Kinetic. It'd send a car to a stop, pop their tires and send them spiraling uncontrollably.

Ive only heard from a friend of mine say emp only stopped cars and he had it. I can kinda see kinetic doing it because of the up-&-atomizer
I spent a few hours with friends driving around looking for the best spots on the map to drop slick mines. Try up in the hills and near Devan Western's house. The NPC cars go flying off the cliff. You can make police cars go flying over certain jumps. Its a lot of fun. You could do the same to anyone who was chasing you in a car.
