17:26 is this guy running a CAT 3408 ? That's a boat anchor by modern standards but apparently is working out for his tractor and him. 18:37 what a NOISY beast. That thing CLACKS like it's broken.
Do they use almost worn tyres on purpose? Wouldn't the traction be better if these tyres were mounted against the driving direction, because braking is not paramount.
So I see it’s a locals day and the farmers are running there tractors HARD. I would have a helmet on ,you never know . It could save your Mellon some day . It offers some hearing protection also . Any way god bless our FARMERS.
Sometimes we treat us like a rented mule it still keeps up the only problem we have really ever had is one time we forgot to replace air filters most tractor are made to handle lots of abuse
Because if you have too much tread on the tires then that causes more strain on the backend and it’s more likely to break something so the less tread the less strain on the rearend of the tractor
@@harryhughes40 You definitely make perfect sense, i never realised until you pointed it out, in my mind i also think that if you have doubt in your machines strength to have to run bald tyres then you probably shouldn't risk it. but then as @patsprankcalls says its for fun (also something i missed) Your a clever lad! Respect!
Nice to see some tractor pullin' ! Some powerful bits of kit there.....

Usually helps if the rears AREN'T bald as a q ball......
It helps when the tires are slightly worn because it puts less strain on the back end and it make the tires easier to turn when under Strain
@@lucasmith2233 Ok, that makes sense. Thx!

why would you enter a tractor pulling competition with bald tyres?? only in england would people be so....
It's not really a competition, more just a bit of fun.
