This was great, if I worked alongside Prince I’m not so sure I’d be able to keep my ego in check and recount stories as earnestly as you did. Really appreciate the learnings and glimpses into Prince and his process.

Very welcome! Never a dull moment lol.
Thanks for tuning in. The experience still feels like yesterday from 2013.

Wow! I never would have thought that someone of Prince's caliber would use a plugin on their music..

I used certain plugins during the mixing process. He was always forward thinking and combining a bit of everything during the creative process both analog and digital,

Thumbs up! More Prince stories please. What is the best level for vocal recordings in Pro Tools? Is it -10dB -12dB or do you use a VU meter and set your levels to OVU? Thank you!

Much appreciated! Without diving too deep into the technical side of getting good levels, the general rule is to not have the incoming signal levels to exceed past the yellow indicator. Anything in the red will bad business. I am conducting a free virtual Intro to Pro Tools class tomorrow at 1:00pm ET. If you are interested, feel free to drop your email and we will have a link sent out to you today. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks for tuning in!
