More Prince stories Please!
Most definitely!
Great story! Lets link up. Would love to hear more and discuss your time there.
Right on, man!
You were good Bro. He was just better. Now you are better than before. Levels to the knowledge ❤❤❤
It was a crash course by all means lol!
Wow! I never would have thought that someone of Prince's caliber would use a plugin on their music..
I used certain plugins during the mixing process. He was always forward thinking and combining a bit of everything during the creative process both analog and digital,
This was great, if I worked alongside Prince I’m not so sure I’d be able to keep my ego in check and recount stories as earnestly as you did. Really appreciate the learnings and glimpses into Prince and his process.
Very welcome! Never a dull moment lol. Thanks for tuning in. The experience still feels like yesterday from 2013. Dlnzproductions.com
Yo keep telling more stories people will start to share your new information fam 1000 respect
No doubt! Thanks for tuning as well. Feel free to share the page. Keeping the vibe alive!
Good stories!
Thumbs up! More Prince stories please. What is the best level for vocal recordings in Pro Tools? Is it -10dB -12dB or do you use a VU meter and set your levels to OVU? Thank you!
Much appreciated! Without diving too deep into the technical side of getting good levels, the general rule is to not have the incoming signal levels to exceed past the yellow indicator. Anything in the red will bad business. I am conducting a free virtual Intro to Pro Tools class tomorrow at 1:00pm ET. If you are interested, feel free to drop your email and we will have a link sent out to you today. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks for tuning in!
I have no idea what this is but it’s pretty cool!
This is the AKAI MPK MIDI controller. In short, it will trigger the sounds that are stored in your music production software. You can emulate hundreds of instruments and sounds to create your own music instrumentals. It’s convenient and used on many professional recordings.
Got one of these. Still havnt figured out how to connect it to the daw
Hey what’s up? Thanks for chiming in. They will usually connect automatically. If not, there is a link to download a driver from AKAI that will map your device to the daw. The other option is to change your daw settings to sync with the device, or try changing the ports on your computer. Hope this helps a bit. It’s pretty nice once it’s up and running.
@willgrupe7653 let me know if you need assistance hooking it up to your DAW.
Has anyone tried this technique before or anything close to it?
You can't make people do that werid stuff
Great information. I will be back to help me create some music.
Thumbs up! Whats your session parameters? File type bit depth and sample rate? Thank you.
Hey what’s up? Thanks for chiming In. For this particular session it is set to 24bit-48khz. Hope this helps. What type of project are you currently working on?
Feel to subscribe as well. What other Pro Tools questions are you having?
@@dlnzproductions Can I send you a session with just a 2 track instrumental for you to see if i find and set the tempo for my beat correctly and also if i setup my reverb on a aux correctly? If yes whats your email?
@@sidehustlefilms8007 I can take a listen to the instrumental. Without the session files, Unfortunately I would not be able to see how your Reverb Aux is setup. Feel free to email it to dlnzproductions@gmail.com. I will take a listen and give some feedback!
And you should have kept riding once you got lower.
I like that suggestion a lot. Very doable.
Hey, so I have a question is there anyway that you saved the journey of you trying to find the synth. I heard and awesome second verse.
Hey whats up? Thanks for chiming in. Yes. I actually have it still. One of the big advantages of the production synthesizers is the saving feature. Are you hearing yourself on this track?
Feels like Janet Jackson could go crazy on this too
Yes indeed lol! I would have to agree with you on that one. Do you create as well?
Super dope
Thank you. Much appreciated! means alot.
this is dope
Thank you. Much appreciated! just vibing out lol.

+Derek Linzy I don't know what to say. Why does baby girl have to mean mug Urkel, though? Urkel needs love, too. lol.
What do you say to that?
I need this beat it's so beautiful ❤️
Derek Linzy ok
Omg, great job. I miss my home studio. Got to get a bigger van.
I've made a few beats using Reasons, Cubase and Acid. I'm going to invest in a keyboard. Can't fit that in my van house though. 😀😀😀But I have been teaching myself the acoustic guitar.
Shout out to hand sanitizer! Haha
Are you doing all that on your workstation sequencer?
Yes indeed. composing it all in realtime with the Yamaha M06 and then usually I will export the audio from the board into protools for editing and mixing.
Yep. It is all done inside the sequencer.
Sounds like some Aaliyah's work from the late 90's
Thanks for your feedback and for following!
