I asked Chad Linberg about a 18 months ago. He said to the best of his memory at the time of filming the hoods were painted black. Carbon fiber wasn't really a thing. It existed but wasn't really used on cars
Has anyone actually confirmed this with Craig? According to other comments it was even mentioned on the making of the movie that there was Talons in the mix

I’ve seen 3 original movie eclipses. All 3 had carbon printed vinyl wrap on hoods.
