Nux Loop Core Deluxe 24-bit Looper Pedal Review - YouTube

- I think the Nu-X Loop Core is every bit as good as some other more expensive looper pedals out there and loads of fun! The NUX Loop Core is pretty addictive and well built as well. With solid metal body construction, except for the battery compartment which is plastic it seems built to last. Like the selection of drum patterns, the ability to store multiple phrases, USB connectivity, stereo ins/outs, as well as the option to add external foot-switches.What else can you ask for at this price point?
Get one and start opening up some new creative ideas.
The gear used in the video as the NUX Loop core into the effects loops of my Brunetti Pleximan Head into a 2x12 cabinet loaded with WGS speakers. I also used my TC Electronics Reverb and some delay from a Joyo Analog delay unit. All the drive sounds were just the dirty channel of the amp no pedals.

Wonderful lesson, just bought the bundle today, wondered how the foot switch could be integrated live, now you have shown. Thank you so much. Had a NUX looper while ago, loved the sound especially for acoustic guitars layered. An ice cream sandwich of sound.
I just got this pedal and I'm diggin' it. You should mention that if you connect the patch cable from "Ctrl In" to Foot-switch A, Button A becomes Stop/Tap-tempo/Clear and Button B is inactivated. If you plug into A/B, Button A changes tracks Down and Button B changes tracks Up. You must connect the patch cable to "Ctrl In" Last for the setting to change. The pedal will display PC briefly. Power to the Foot-switch is optional, it will work without power but the LED's will not turn on.
So can you have one of the switches operating as stop and the other one as tap tempo?
Maybe a TRS to split TR y cable.
@@Millennial_Mike The LEFT Switch will act as: Tempo/Stop/Clear. Right Switch does nothing.
Can u refer to any tutorial. I am not able to switch to pharse up and down with dual foot switch
Gilly T has it correct, at least it worked for me , i wanna add more info here ; the short patch cable i used was the TRS (stereo ) 1/4" plug.. that came with the unit... for "patch up/down" i had the selector switch on "latch" & cable in A/B jack before i plugged it into the "control in" jack on the looper while it was energized. for "stop & tap tempo" i had "selector switch" on "closed" and cable plugged into A jack and "control in" while looper was energized. i hope this info helps... they sure needed to include a good instruction book with such a well built pedal.
I liked your examples using the drum rhythms! Just got my unit and looking forward to trying it out.
hey i was thinking about getting it so i guess you have had it for over 2 weeks what do you think about it
@@abrahamjaved3139 Sorry don't have a lot of feedback yet as I started a new job about the same time and have not had a lot of time to play with it yet. So far so good however. Very full featured.
Thank you for your review. Great job! I plan to get one based on your review.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the video!
I’m thinking of getting this looper, but I read this in the comments’ section of a well known music store in Europe:
“A few things really bother me because they should be possible, but apparently they're not:
1. You can't save a loop on the fly: Once you finished recording all layers of part A, you must stop the loop to save it before moving on to record part B on another empty bank. You can't save the loop unless you stop it, and if you change bank to record part B without saving part A, your recording will be lost. This is very stupid and makes the Nux Loop Core Deluxe way less usable for live loooping situations, jamming, etc...
2. The separate amp and mixer outputs was a major selling point to me, but it should possible to direct the recorded loop to the mixer. Only the drumbeats will come out to the mixer output. I intended to load the looper with backing tracks, record some base guitars or bass lines, and then play along, but then all instruments except the drumbeats come through the guitar amp output, which is far from ideal.
3. The manual does not explain some features: how to turn frequency compensation and cabinet simulation and buffer on/off. Any help on that would be appreciated.”
For me this issues are a big flaw. What do you think?
Cheers!
Great review. I just purchased one. Thank you for posting.
I'd almost say a looper is a necessity. He's right that it allows you to open up new ideas but it helps you practice too and other stuff. If the penny hasn't dropped yet as far as modes go, a looper helps a lot.
Great video! Thanks for that
Cool last Jam: White Wedding ❤
Not sure if you are getting paid by NU X or not, but I am buying one now! Great video!
me too
Great review....thanks.
Very welcome
Definitely need to give this one a try.
Old boy in Georgia Guitars and more you won’t be disappointed
FANTASTIC!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching
finally a looper demo where the song isn't crap.
Ikr? Every other guy seems to connect 30 pedals and make some other instrument out of their guitar - not to mention the total lack of good taste :'D
Best demo so far
@@SuperUvix yeah the dude that owns EHX got rich making pedals to sound like anything other than a guitar.
Cool. Do you have any plans on doing a follow-up video to this? Maybe show more of the patterns and jamming to them?
Laura Fotze yes of course!
@@addictedtogear Awesome!
My son and I are fully inspired not only by this video also the impressive spec compared to the others(even the biggest brand one). We decided to get one for our first looper experience. 謝謝您詳細的解說, 這真是物超所值的 good Loop station for a beginner (bassist & guitarist)!
The only thing you seemed missed in the video is the demo of the dual foot-switch. I really hope to see how the momentary "open" and "close" setting works.
Besides, my son just found the upgraded Nux hardware is 8-hour loop phrases long, not original 6-hour.
Great review--Would you suggest this or the NUX JTC Loooer Pro? (I liked both your Video Reviews) Thanks!
Great video!
Would you recommend this, or the Nux JTC Drum/Loop Pro?
He;s right about looper pedals for practice!
Have you found a way ton include the drum track when pulling the .wav file from the pedal?
nice review, so whats better Nux JTC Looper Pro or nux loop core deluxe? thanks
Cool Billie Gene Phrygian jam btw.
Great video i wabt one!!!🤘🤘👍👍🎶🎶👌🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
I've had the original NU-X for a while. I was pleasantly surprised. Downloading full backing tracks
from the internet gets you the whole band instead of just a rhythm track. Or you can create your own. Makes practicing a blast.
LOL downloading full backing tracks from where?
What does the foot switch do?
Hello !!! great data, and by the way I have one, with the intention of passing loops to it via PC, the manual says that it accepts 24b, 44.1khz files... so I don't take mp3s, nor similar wavs... did you ever do that job? and where to get loops of that quality? you have to do it thanks in advance and success!
Upload a video with more detail pls. What are the functions of all those switches? I purchased one today and looking for proper tutorials. Their manual is not so good.
I don't think a proper tutorial has been made
Loving your tone. What is your set-up?

Too bad you didnt show the functionalities of the extra footswitch..
Great video, thanks from an NZ old timer. Maybe a stupid question but knowing nothing on these pedals ; if I record say 10 different tracks, will they still be there next week if I decide to play them, and can I select say, track #7 , at any time, then go to track #2 ? TY in anticipation.
Yes, I think 99 slots of memory...(as long as there's still memory_6hrs, but I guess you could conceivably use it all in one shot) and they should seamlessly jump from one to the next but I think you would have to save them next to each other. Actually I think you can scroll from say 2 to 7 but seems easier to just place them next to each other. I just traded my loop core for the loop core deluxe and am really digging it. I also have DigiTech stereo looper but it has to run on 9 volt AC. This one is cool for busking.
can this looper do verse, chorus, bridge changes?
You said about 3 functions on the footswitch and didnt talk about them :(
He did talk about them..you can change the loop and play it without having to stop playing and bending down to change the loop :)
Hello, I have a little question.
How do I repeat my loop as much as I want? Without her stopping.
Thanks
Hi. Thanks for this!
I'm wondering, if you just use the looper, and you make a loop
and stop that loop ( so as to go back later in the song) does the led flash the metronome of the loop?
Rob
Hello. I bought NUX Loop Core Delux and Footswitch NMP-2. Tell me, please, how can I use NMP-2 to switch samples to Loop Core Delux during the game? I can't find the answer in the instructions.
You didnt really use the footswitch
Can i use this switch pedal for rec/play and stop? I think Stop with one press, NO double press!
Is this better against joyo omb?
I can not get the dual foot switch to work
I have no idea of what the additional a/b switch does??
It allows you to switch to another loop slot.
I followed the directions for switching to 3/4 timing but it doesn't work I can't get it I must be doing something wrong
is there a hum coming from the looper during the playback? I had read in some of the reviews that people were complaining about a hum.
Hi friends , I have a question about this pedal. Is it possible to set one of the buttons on the footswitch as a one press stop button? Because sometimes its really difficult to stop loop on stage with double click.
yes. the info is in this comment thread..
So, the footswitch allows you to switch between 3 loops?
Between 99 loops
switch thru all that you have saved. you could make a whole song - intro, verse, chrous, verse, break, solo, chrous, verse, a breakdown........and then do a key change with a chrous, chrous, verse, chrous, outro lol
Can you use the external footswitch to do other things... such as stopping and tap tempo?
Yeah if plugging it in the left jack
and switch it to closed.
Hi, please, I need advice. Please choose between Yellow and Deluxe versions.
Could Nux Loop Core Yellow be used in this combination /with ext. pedal/ even as a player of imported wav files? As a backing track player for a father - saxophonist ... On a One Man show? How long would the files fit in each memory slot? Example of a 4 minute wava and how many songs in total would Nux handle in total? Control only start - stop - switch to the next song .. I also thought about the Deluxe version, but Core Yellow also has an Aux In input .. It could also be useful for recording eg keys ...
Another question, would the Deluxe version handle better the function of only the saved wav player? Memory, sound quality, better switching between songs?
Thank you for advice :-D
The Deluxe version seems more durable and probably a better choice for what you discribe.
@@addictedtogear Thnx :-D
I booth loop pedal..but no foot switch...damn..:(
How to use foot switch
Is there a way to set the rhythm to continue after the loop stops and not stop with the loop?
I am not too sure. I would have to check that.
The cable to conect the external foot is stereo?
Yes, the looper connects to the external foot switch via a stereo cable with TRS plugs. The cable is included with the deluxe bundle, which is really nice. I like that the cable uses right-angle plugs, which saves space on a tight pedal board.
does it have autodetect of the rhythm like the NUX JTC?
I think the rhythm does auto-detect the tempo from your loop. I remember seeing that on the Amazon listing of this pedal.
Yes it does
Why does no one use the A/B switch?
I constantly use mine. I use 'B' for tap tempo, and I don't think they tell you that by holding it down, instead of tapping, you can clear the track, and I think possibly redo, all from one switch, in passive (unpowered) mode.
How does this compare to the NUX JTC? - Better? Worse?
I have not tried the NUX version sorry.
Great question! The NUX JTC Pro does everything the NUX Loop Core Deluxe does, but the JTC Pro has 256 memory slots instead of 99, a separate foot switch for the rhythm, drum fills on demand, separate controls for everything, an auto-record mode, a play-once mode, and dial-in beats per minute. The Loop Core Deluxe is a great looper and rhythm pedal, but the JTC Pro has more features and is even easier to use, especially for live looping, gigging, etc. Here's a link with full details: www.nuxefx.com/jtc-pro.html
Hello does the looper have the synchronize mode in it? Thank you
I'm not sure what you mean?
Kindly let me know if i can use this looper pedal in my keyboard...
I don't see why it would don't work.
Is it double tap to stop
yes
The JTC Pro is better?
Both are pretty good in my opinion!
Dear God please tell me what the first song is. Driving me nuts!
Alan Lindsay can’t get enough of your love
@@addictedtogear Thanks!!
That Would be your Bad Company song Can't Get Enough of Your Love
How does it compare to the RC3?
Similar features for sure
OK, thanks.
What song is that first loop at 8:30?
Sounds like Summer Love by Sherbet but I might be wrong!
Nope I lied... its actually Can't Get Enough Of Your Love by Bad Company haha
bad company...
i hate nux i hve problem with start rec and stop and clear.Vill put in garbage and buy @t is complicated and this remote pedal is stupid if is not separate swich for rec ,clear @t disapoint with it

One tap = start, hold while loop is playing = undo, hold while paused = delete everything, two taps = pause. It's that easy
