You're really confused about how optics work. You can't compare full frame glass to 4/3 glass, and also you can't compare full frame f2 to 4/3 f2, because it's actually an f4, it's just that all brands are lying about their crop sensor lenses, and that's how 4/3 lenses can be so small, or an iPhone f2 lens can be that small, because it actually is not an f2, you have to account for a crop.
F stop is not T stop, if you’re saying T-stop then absolutely, that iPhone with its f1.6 is actually f5.6 on fullframe in terms of how much light it is receiving. If its f stop then they aren’t lying, you’re just lazy at converting it
@JojoJoget Sony was notorious for that with their cinema lenses. One was F2.8 but T5.6. To be fair to Sony though, at least they were up front and transparent about the true TStop of their lens and did not mislead their customers.
Ive played with pretty much all of the DJI drones from the phantom 2 to the mavic 3, i tend to skip a generation because you get a more significant increase in technology. This mavic 4 pro would definetly be a game changer for the pro user for sure. I now play with the DJI Avata 2 which is a completly different animal to the cinamatic type drones like the mavics. Im looking forward to seeing this drone come out as i hold a A2 catagory licence, so for me it would be great for selling my images, with a camera capable in a drone worthy of doing so. Have a great xmas Simon, hope your well m8.
The leaked images clearly show a similar triple camera layout similar to the Mavic 3. I guess one of them could have a zoom lens, but I wouldn't count on it. There's also a discount on the 3 here in Australia. This usually doesn't happen, so maybe the release isn't that far off.
I also noticed the Mavic 3 series prices are starting to discount in Australia. This is what they do to reduce stock levels for a new incoming new model
the idea of 24-70 is interesting because it would use the 4/3 sensor, thus producing a much better zoom images than the fixed 70 mm, and would facilitate true log profile through out the zoom range. However, the casting of such a zoom camera would have to be bigger and heavier, and thus the gimble motor bigger and heavier, requiring a larger air frame, motors, and battery. My guess is that such a zoom camera cannot be accomplished while maintaining a relatively small foldable form factor.
Comparing retail prices versus retail prices of various items doesn’t really work for this when you don’t know the manufacturers actual production cost. A Mavic 3 maybe has $150 worth of hard parts in it and very little human touch in the assembly process. When you’re talking about mass production like this and the manufacturer owns all the tech and outsources nothing, it’s still easy to make a product for very little and sell it at a competitive price.
It's supposed to be only 3 oz more than the Mavic 3 Pro which would be impossible with one zoom lens camera. The body and gimbal are already bigger than the Mavic 3 Pro. The battery has greater capacity so most of the weight gain is probably from the battery itself.
Could it be possible they might consider selling a base model without a controller to people who have the RC pro and then offer something upgraded package with a better controller??
If this is it...24-70mm zoom? I'm out. I love the look of the 166mm too much but lens has no balls. A 12mp camera at f3.4 is awful. I need the 166mm to be a 1" sensor at f2.8...thank you very much!!!
Well… DJI is definitely trying to do something interesting with their pricing. Look at the Avata 2. The price for the flight more Combo was cheaper than the original Avata. I think they are rephrasing the fact that no other manufacturers in the US or Europe can compete with them. Not for against their capabilities and definitely not against their pricing. They’re trying to make themselves irreplaceable.

No, the aperture is exactly the same, it's the DOF that's F4 in M43. I use both Sony FF and Olympus/OM System M43
F stop is focal length divided by entrance diameter. The F stop is the F stop.

Imagine a revolver style tripple lens. That would be relatively cheap and possible.
That’d be so cool, I don’t think China is willing to make a design risk like this unless somebody else already did this
What is the benefit? The longer lenses would just use smaller area of that M43 sensor or they would need to be lot longer in actual lenght
@@KyleSSamuelson you do know that’s what DJI has done so far

When will price drop for mavic 3 classic ?
Thanks for the update! So excited for this drone
really great done~ godspeed!;)

I live in New Jersey. I need a DJI drone with missiles on it to protect my property.
Great. Could you please let me know if New Jersey real estate prices have finally started to drop?
Going to have to go to Canada and get this
That might be the case. No sign os us banning them yet.

The leaker who mentioned $2,099 pricing never said anything about an optical zoom lens
Maybe $2k with no extra batteries, no remote or any accessories. But wouldn’t imagine seeing that price with a bundle.
~180° FOV?
Field of view. Like our vision.
Is anyone going to buy it in the U.S. once the new laws are passed?
We will have to wait and see what happens. We should know those new laws long before the drone is announced.

So wait you can change lenses on a drone. I thought the lenses were built in?
They are built in.
I love the Spanish audio!👌🏽
nope 24 70 2.0 on 1inch sensor is too big ...
I don't think so either.
Someone could be make lens revolver with multiple tiny primes

They re irreplaceable, in quality. Even they price higher than its competitor, their product still an overall superior option.
Too bad drones will become illegal after all this New Jersey stuff settles.
Car size drones in NJ and small consumer drones is a huge difference and not related at all.
"gamechanger" 🤨
First
That you were, but what about something insightful as your first comment ;)
What an accomplishment. You must be proud of yourself. 🤦♂️
