It would be very helpful if you could voice the actual (lovely) chords you are playing - for example, Bb aug in bar 8 rather than Bb7.

I would maybe turn that around. The chords are good as they are written, but they should be played with consistent upper structures - and those should be open, not altered, when a major chord follows and it's not explicitly written otherwise. These voicings are nice, but they mislead the soloist a bit.
