Mahesh script selection is not too complicated as many people might used to think that he purposely choose something as he want to shine as an actor or he purposely choosing commercial films bcs he just want to reamin a superstar and maintain his numbers
He always told how he always went with just instincts ..and if genuinely likes something he just go with it ...without thinking much(its both good and bad for him imo)
Only couple of times it happened when he consciously chose scripts for purpose was when he signed athidi...he said how pokiri was so big that its sucess got over him and he only wanted to do films like pokiri and he agreed it was a mistake thats why after that he took few months break and signed khaleja ( which was a totally different film)but later on the break got extended into years
Amd also during SLN ...he said he signed bcs he thought his fans wants to see him in a typical mass entertainer
And this social messages movies spree is coincidentally happened in series ..he didn't purposely chose for their messages ..as many thinks.. Bcs there were films in between which he was almost doing and didnt happen...and he said suring narration of SVP the thing he liked most abt the script was the dynamics between the lead pair and the love track and honestly that was the only good part of the film tbh
He just not too calculative in selecting scripts ...just his genuine and simple personality it is

He neither selects movie for specially doing experiment ( even though i know he has has been known for doing experiment films)...he has told a lot of times ..if he genuinely likes the film he goes with his instinct..so either its a whole commercial film or experiment we got from mahesh ..its bcs he genuinely was interested in those
You know i just said bcs there are actors who specifically goes for..like" i should do commercial films now " or " i should only do content oriented movies"
But the thing about mahesh going with his instincts is the reason he has such a versatile filmography in his generation of major Alist actors ..who mostly only done mass commercial entertainers
Okkadu(commercial) then nijam( different /experimented) were both in same year 2003 ...so as 1 nennokadine (unusual)and agadu(typical commercial) n same year 2014
