Hi, i made vu meter exactly like this but only 3 of the leds lights up. I used 12×3 leds. What's the problem? Should i use more powerfull capacitors?

Next one you make needs to filter the high mid and low range one for each channel!!
Wouldnt be to hard, just need to isolate frequency / filter it and then use that new signal for one of the 3 LED channels,

why is mine insensitive like that ..? when the song is playing the lights only turn on at the beginning, after arriving in the middle of the song the lights are no longer lit. does the amplifier also have an effect?

430ohms resistor and 1N4001 diode not available in stores they have only 390ohms resistor and 1N4007 diodes can i make use these components

That's a simple design, if you add a 2way or 3 way crossover and divide the LED tower the lights would respond to frequency not just volume

Me huviese gustado más que le incorpores un receptor de sonido (mic) para hacer uno más amplio y pueda colocarlo en una esquina de mi casa. No importa si requiera de una fuente pero estaría muy bueno un vumetro así en una esquina y que capte hasta la voz de uno hablando en la habitacion jajajaja... me suscrivo por tu esfuerzo e idea papaaaa!!!!

an amplifier delivers electrical current to power the speaker. On mine I have 16 volts for example;)

How many leds we can used
too much bass. not that that is a bad thing. A nice, simple IC free solution, though it looks like the red LEDs aren't getting enough current. That, or they are just really, really dim compared to the other LEDs. That circuit diagram helped to force me to realize the purpose of all those 1N4148 diodes as I was wondering where the IC or extension wires where when you began to seal the box. Nice build.
