LED- but still a diode.
Thats mean, when you're conecting them without resistance, you're doing just a shortcut😂
Thats mean your diode or power source will burn quite fast...

Better yet, get a DC to DC boost converter module ($5) and convert 5V DC USB to whatever you want. (turn the screw, it boosts the voltage) Then just bypass a 120v LED lightbulb circuitry and power the whole LED array with it. Much simpler, way more light.
