If you want to know what rebounding is all about and how it's truly changed my life (and my body), watch this video where I explain all the benefits of this miraculous exercise.
I am 67. I have been using a mini rebounder for 3 years. I am not aggressive, I do not use it vigorously, but 20 minutes a day first thing every morning keeps my joints and lymph system moving and most importantly, the momentum gained exercising with the mini rebounder encouraged me to add extra exercises to my daily routine. The most important muscle to develop is the habit muscle. Not getting hurt by using my rebounder helped me develop my exercise habit muscle and for that, it has been a wonderful investment. I made a video on my feelings about my rebounder after 2 years of using it daily. I am so happy you are encouraging others. The most important asset we have other than time is our health, even more than our families as when we become sick we are a burden to our families. Thanks for your inspiration. 😎👌
I’m thrilled that I decided to buy this rebounder! I’ve used it every day for the past 5 weeks, and I’m already feeling stronger, more toned, and full of energy. I’ve even shed a few pounds, which is impressive during the holiday season. Of course, I’ve kept an eye on my diet too. The best part is that my 5-year-old daughter loves it, and it’s great for helping her burn off excess energy so she can focus better when needed. Assembly was simpler than I expected, and my daughter, being just 5, was able to help with the bands. I’d choose this over a stuffy gym, stationary treadmill, or bike any day!
Greetings from America! Love your story, Lisa. I enjoy my rebounder and find you a great motivator. I'm in my late '60's and find rebounding a great way to keep myself healthy and fit.
@@TraceyPoland I'm in the exact same boat as you. Ordered mine a day ago from Leaps and Rebounds and now I'm just so excited to start. Reading everyone's comments is truly giving me hope that this is going to be really good for me. Best of luck to you! I hope it arrives soon for both of us. 😊
I came across this video and had to watch it... I started rebounding as my main exclusive form of exercice 5 years ago but in recent months stopped under my doctor's advsiement as I suffer from chronic pain due to cervical disk degenerative problem (C4-C7 the disk are compeltely flatten) so had to give up rebounding😣 I started doing stationary bike and low impact HITT with weights but TODAY I decided (seeing no reduction in my pain), to take out my rebounder again and it is such a JOY! I LOVE rebounding and so will start incorporating it again in my fitness regimen - just at a lower frequency- eveything you mention about it helping boost your immune system is true - in my 5 years of rebounding, I would almost never get sick and it helped my mood and water retention too! It's incredible so anyone who doens;t have a contraindication like me should absolutely go out buy a rebounder and try it! I recommend Bellicon as it it the best made and most amaziing bounce you an get and it will last you a lifetime!
I've become obsessed with this, like you, I can't stop talking about it! It's the best thing I've ever purchased and I'm so excited I bought a new one recently. The one I had before wasn't as good as this one, and buying one the other week, it's really changing my life. It's incredibly fun, so I don't have to worry about getting bored with it. Thanks for putting your videos out there, great workouts too!
This 40-inch trampoline that i have from leaps and rebounds is an incredibly useful accessory for high-impact exercise. I highly recommend getting one.
Lisa Mon Ami... question I have to ask...on your Rebounding travels did by any chance meet up with with a long lost friend by the name of Hilda Malcolmess.? From Benoni... She used sell these rebounders it's when I started rebounding and teaching rebounding in Potchestroom. Way back in the 1996/7. Just add, then these rebounders were made by a private Gentleman, I just forgot his name...they were perfect strong springs with carbon tungsten steel never rusted and could withstand the punch. Unfortunately he stopped making them as U probably know people get bored very easily and rebounding then didn't catch on. Also alot of them used to buy their rebounders made in China, my Chanas and they wre never up to scratch the rubberised sections used to tear and the spings would snap. Maybe as U know that the person who invented the rebounder was an American who worked for Dunlop...and the rest is History...The American important was too pricey at that stage... Hah Happi rebounding...Yours Frank.😊.
Ahem.. just to add, I used incorporate the rebounding into yoga classes, which worked quite well rebound for 5 to 10minutes just liven up the body for folk coming off work and I let 'em rest for 8minutes. And then carried on with my normal yoga classes...Viola...😊😅...
Gymnastics was absolutely *essential* to all the athletic success and ability that I've had throughout my lifetime. It gave me body awareness, core awareness, the ability to balance in very unstable and precarious environemnts which helped me decades later when snowboarding and surfing. I am so very grateful for the day my parents allowed me to enroll in gymnastics classes (and paid for them) and then continue on into compulsory competitive gymnastics.
Thank you for this informative and motivating video. I ordered my rebounder and I’m waiting for it to arrive. Can’t wait to check out your videos. I am going to be 59 next month. I walk/run, jump rope and lift light weights. It is going to be very warm here in NC for the next few months so I was hoping to find a fun workout that is possible to do inside. Thanks again for this great content.
I tried to just send some more info. On my side as I used teach rebounding and incorporated it into my yoga classes...as U've just mentioned people tend to get bored very quickly...😊 It's a great wake up for folk coming off work. Just not even rebound just bounce very, very lightly on the rebounder either sitting for those who have backache, toddlers and mothers to be...Your Doctor is a bit of a joker...As when I was studying medicine in England also teach Yoga for the Adult Education Dept. There was really a sassy young lady who was I imagined 6months pregnant but was still doing horse back riding...😅. With no ill affects. Cos, as U might have noticed rebounding and riding horses It's the only possible workout sports which one can compare to rebounding... It's the only way to beat gravity ones worst enemy.🤕. Just add, The tyre company rebounding was first started by a Gentleman who work for NASA. They used train the Astronauts to help cope with zero gravity...😂.
After extensive research, I found Leaps and Rebounds to be the best value by far. It’s easy to assemble and very sturdy. I’m thrilled with the purchase and have already noticed numerous benefits from rebounding for 20 minutes a few times a week. I highly recommend this!
I agree. Not sure why people use weights while on the rebounder. When I strength, I only use my bodyweight as I refuse to lift weights. Bouncing with weights can lead to joint issues and injury.
I only put on 2 and a half stone luckily breast feeding helped snap me back in shape. i did swim energy day while pregnant.... I guess we are all different. x
Hi Lisa, I have a spring rebounder that I bought a long time ago, but have never used. I like the the way you do your exercises which are not these very fast moves, an being a 72 year old pensioner cannot afford to get a bungee rebounder, can I still follow with the program using the old one. Hoping for some good advice from you as I need to get the body moving more.
Yeah you should be able to. Just start small with the health bounce. You can still get cheaper bungee rebounders. I got the Cloris on Amazon for around £80 (uk). It has bungee cords and it’s brilliant. I done a lot of research first. The only issue was opening the round frame up(as it came already assembled) . Ivtried and tried and wasnt strong enough. I live on my own ao no help.I had to put my full body weight on it and use a duvet and lots of pillows when i landed on the floor which was sae and didn’t injure myself.I think a lot of the info and reviews out there is either from the Cellerciser or Bellicon companies or people that are sponsored by them. The non branded one I got is brilliant and v silent or using indoors.
@@teaacustardcream2868Yes, I have this one too. I had to get a neighbour to help me open it...really stiff! Otherwise a brilliant rebounder. I'm really happy with it. It's made a huge difference to me. I have inflammatory arthritis. 😊
@@Greenmanure62 I couldn’t open it either and had no help. In the end up I had to put a duvet to cushion between me and the rebounder and used pillows to pad me, so as not to cause injury, put two knees one one side threw myself full force of onto floor whilst holding the other end and it snapped opened 🤣
I have been rebounding 5 minutes a day for a few weeks. It has started to cause mid back pain. Will that go away? My posture is improving, more energy and better sleep. Is there specific exercises to improve pelvic floor on the rebounder or will the bounce take care of those muscles?
With respect, I became rail thin while breastfeeding (and eating _voraciously,_ bowls and bowls of food at each meal). So people are not lying to you; it's just that they had a different experience. I also breastfed for around 20 months...maybe that's the difference? It might also be a difference in mindset. The last thing on my mind was losing weight while my babies were nursing. The weight loss came as a surprising side effect. If you were focused on losing weight and restricting calories, your body might have held onto what it was given during that time. It could be a lot of things. All of that aside, I'm very interested in getting a rebounder for my lymphatic system and appreciated your video.
@@trishaG Yes! I remember thinking, _oh well, I had a good run being thin but I guess that's over now_ after having my first baby. It was a total surprise when the weight dropped off. I do think it's because I wasn't trying to lose weight. That is not the time to restrict.
I’m in the school of thought that it’ll come off eventually but I enjoy getting myself in shape within babies first year because it makes me feel better about my body, but it certainly makes us require more calories when we’re building muscle AND feeding a baby. That’s something to keep in mind! Feed your body! Extended breastfeeding or not, it’s a nice thing to feel strong. Maybe at the babies speed, they learn to crawl, are we using our muscles similarly when they pull up to stand on everything? They do core exercises when we’re early postpartum too. It’s all in good time!
