Aki Kirvesmäki he doesn’t. He’s doing it to avoid a big penalty, just like in football in Europe. Lots of players urge to “help” the other that they faulted so they don’t get a yellow or red card.
@@Dodger24 Basically the blue player (M. Dočekal) from Kometa Brno couldn't breathe properly after the hit, they tried to sort of "kick-start" his lungs back up - the part when they are shaking him around - but even after that it must have been such a shock that he collapsed.
hey, just wanted to thank u for the vid! i was wondering- how did you come across this league/what inspired you to make a video about it? im quite familiar with our hockey leagues bs, so ill attempt to explain some things- i think the why behind what you see in the video is both bad reffing regarding headshots and cheapshots when needed the most & that a certain level of dirty play is the unspoken norm (slewfooting, slashing, shoving, knee hits, tripping, you name it), also some players simply cant or dont want to fight, and those who arent afraid to step up or those with a more physical game are then casually receiving game suspensions where other, "non-problematic" players would get a standard penalty - also more often than not get the players who step up do defend their injured teammate punished worse than the ones who injured them (to add to this- most players arent used to having checks finished on them especially near the boards) - despite all of this, the league is getting better, which is great to see
From research, it's a hit by Marek Troncinsky on Martin Docekal on Feb 5 2018. According to reports, he just had the wind knocked out of him ( translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=cs&u=www.idnes.cz/hokej/extraliga/kometa-brno-pardubice.A180205_381052_hokej_ten&prev=search - But as Jens says, it's Google Translate, so...) but he'd be as good an actor as Mike Ribeiro if that's the case, so I'm skeptical, even with the reputation of Europeans.
Thank you for the vid about Czech league! I would say these are the worst hits in about 10 years, Czech league is not much physical league, it is more about technique. Of course we have some dirty players in the league as well like Ševc, Ordoš or Kučný. Biggest problem are the knee to knee hits. But as I said, this is a longterm montage, we have hits like that very rarely in our league, but it is hockey, it happens. And about those adverts on jerseys/ice, tickets cannot fullfill budgets of teams, especially some arenas aren‘t bigger than 7000 people. So advertisement and sponsorship are very needed in our league and this is why we look like a billboard league. But no money = no party.
@@martinriha1904 only dirty thing Belfast did was when we beat the shit out of one of the players. Meanwhile one of liberec's players checked a guy while he was celebrating a goal. Belfast aren't the cleanest team but Liberec were wayy dirtier

Last guy broke ribs I beat and maybe caught a lung that's why he freaked as he couldnt breathe and it's a different cant breathe then the wind out of you.
Not really. However, there are many teams in the Extraliga that share basically the same color combination. Kometa Brno, Plzeň, Liberec, Kladno and in some of the previous seasons Chomutov as well.
I always hear people(Mostly NHL-Supremacists) saying shit like the ELH, STL, EBEL, AlpsHL, SLM, EIHL is bad hockey. Basically anything in Europe other than KHL, Liiga, NLA and SHL is bad. But i would beat an Old Lady with a hockey stick to be 4th liner in the fuckin Chance Liga or Oberliga or some shit XD
Our years of being part of top hockey countries is gone (last gold from World championship is 10 years old) but Czech republic is still only country that win WC 3 times in row after play off was add. And still we have some top players like Pastrňák or Hertl.
@@Gil-galad12 well you can still make it to the bronze game in wc.. and you propably could win it too. Hell, it's not impossible to win the whole tournament either. Last gold in 2010 yes, but that team didn't have many NHL players either. Vokoun was pretty old, Pavelec very young. Rozsival the only NHL defenseman. Young Voracek and a 38 year old Jagr.
@@Gil-galad12 Even without the medals, I'd still call the Czechs a major hockey power. It would be considered inconceivable for them to ever drop out of the top level and would even be considered a surprise if they didn't make the final eight. We need firm plan (especially at work with kids) which will get us back at the top. We are no longer concidered as favorite in the title but as country that can suprised and that is sad for us.
The thing I can’t get over is how terrible the jerseys look with all of the ads. The ads on the fronts of the helmets, on the pants, and on the refs’ butts are the worst.
Why aren't more teammates sticking up for their fellow players? Most of them just stand there after a dirty hit, or a slight shove. Only one time did a fight happen.

5:52 That guy in white was a class act after that hit
It is Jerabek
I cant believe how many intentinal headshots there are. So many hits aimed for the head and also leaving their feet before a hit. Brutal stuff
It looks like the minor hockey league i play in
The dude on the clip in 6:00 has my respect in a sense that he actually was really worried for the guy he hit
Aki Kirvesmäki he doesn’t. He’s doing it to avoid a big penalty, just like in football in Europe. Lots of players urge to “help” the other that they faulted so they don’t get a yellow or red card.
If he was itching, he wouldn't have made a hit like that.
That guy was part of the Capitals' team back in 2018, he played in the first 2 playoff games against Columbus, his name is Jakub Jerabek.

The advertising on the ice in Europe is just too much
agree, it's honestly quite distracting, but hey...I guess to the owners it's just a business, so just slap that brand logo on there!
