Love the videos. I stumbled across them. I have a 64 Malibu ss I’m currently restoring. At the shop now getting my th400 and 383 put in and broken in. Also some fabrication and paint. Love what you do
Hello guys how are you doing today.I I have been following you guys since the day I saw your first video. I myself have 2 1964 Malibu's then I've been trying to save needing some parts that you may have. I love what you guys doing right at home you and your miss. Keep up the great work I love the way you so detailed in your video I'm in Chicago where there is a lot of snow but fortunately for me there are not that rusted that bad. And some rust. If you respond to this I can send pictures to you guys.
Wow!! Thank you!!! I have two 64’s!!! I’ve actually owned several over the years and built a few for friends of mine. I might be able to help you with anything you need! Showing people you can do this at home is exactly why I started the channel!!
A total restoration is not necessary but I would fix the rust and have it sealed and choose a paint color later. You have so many choices for parts replacement for these cars that you could build any style vehicle easily. Keep it stock appearing and upgrade the performance - my two cents.
Don't cobble hack the dash ...just replace it ...car looks to nice to just cobble it back together...dont be a hack and cover it up ....fix it right ....
Are you sure your name is Sarah or is it really Tina or more precisely PaTina? LOL You can clear coat it the way it is as well if you really think it needs a top coat? Or get some Vice Grip Garage "Shine Juice"? He sells the clear coat that goes over patina. He actually has some cool top coat stuff to use. If you get one of VGG top coats make sure to do a corny commercial like DD Speed Shop did.?
My votes with her. Leave it alone down and dirty 👍👍👍
😲🤦♂️
My opinion is to media blast it, Mat Black in epoxy sealer. Get the rust repaired. Then decide further on what the project priority’s are going to be.
We used to use "ospho".
"Turns rust back into metal" the jug says.
It was/is a rust inhibitor .
Good shit.
Good job, Sarah 🎉

Awesome Chad!!!! Same combo that’s currently in Down N Dirty! I think you’ll like it.
Thank you for watching!
That 415 looks good. 👌
Pink
The differential has a ratio number code & production date on the left side of rear inspection cover on the round axle tube.
Leave it as is man. That body is in way to good shape to cover up with paint. Great channel by the way.
Thank you!!! I appreciate the support!!

Your wife is right - you need to keep the patina. Preserve it with some satin clear...

I agree.

FRESHEN UP THE INTERIOR
Semi gloss.
Min tub for wider tire blasted get all the rest out of repair rust matte black
No mini tub needed on this car. A different rim is all I need. But I am pushing for the matte black!!!
Well we always hate to go against a wife but Steve is correct go ahead and get the paint and body guy to go ahead and do everything to it now
Paint
Like she said leave it like it is

Like I said before, leave it like it is. Just put the trim pieces back on it. And a killer engine. I agree with your wife.
Shhhhhhh….. don’t ever tell her that out loud!!! Lol.
Matt Black or some matt color.
