Thanks Paul! I wanted to keep the mileage down while giving her a good mixture of scenery. Some arches, some cliff top views, sunrise etc. she really enjoyed it and I think we may have sparked the backpacking bug in her :)
Hi and thanks, Smolder Outdoors for sharing. Wowowow...this view is gorgeous...you are above the clouds and the sun is setting?1:13 OMG, I have been to Red River Gorge but I don't recall this area. The landscape is spectacular. May I ask if there is a name for this arch?...2:43 Is this the drone footage?...11:40 This is beautiful the green mold is all over the rocks...13:54 Did you encounter any wildlife while you were camping? Well done.🛶🛶🙋♀🙋♀
Nice job! I was thinking I was already subscribed. To my surprise, I wasn't. Anyways, we took care of that! I'm also curious as to what were you using to film with? Some killer shots & effects! NIcely done!
Hey Hoot! Thanks for the sub. This was the first trip I filmed with the Insta360 one rs action camera. I brought the 4K boost lens for typical action cam footage. I also had the 360 lens which lets me reframe the shots when I get home to have that 3rd person drone looking effect. The spinning shot at hansons point was done with the Insta360 bullet time cord accessory, 360 lens, and the bullet time camera setting
Hey Brent - Thinking about doing this exact trip in a couple weeks. Are campsites easy to find? Do you need an overnight parking pass or permit? Water accessible? Assume this area is pretty crowded?
Hey Brian. Campsites are limited on auxier ridge and there is no water up top so carry enough with you. It can be found in the lower section spring/summer but I’m unsure about fall or during periods of low rainfall. Hanson’s point is easy just don’t miss the trail to it. It is an unofficial trail. Hanson’s point is also dry with no water sources up top so again carry in enough for your time there. I’d suggest maps or an app like AllTrails.
i'm looking to camp this weekend. thinking auxier ridge somewhere. great shots man.
A place where the scenery is beautiful and quiet
Another great video of RRG. You showed Megan some of the real highlights for her first trip.

Great hike and views! Thanks for sharing
Thanks! Rrg is always a good time!
Looks like a great trip with some quality trails. The overlook was amazing!
Love RRG!! Great video! 😎👍
Thanks Willie! I love it down there too. This was my 3rd trip. Looking forward to exploring some new areas next time
@@SmolderOutdoors nice! Yeah we usually go at least 2 times a year.
Nice little trip. Love those areas. Last time I was at Greys and Hansons was the past big snow storm and it was sick!!
Every trip I stay a night at hansons. That sunrise is too good to pass up!
Another great video Brent. New intro is dope as well…
Thanks Bryan!
I like red river gorge. Its butifull 🐯🐻
CatOway here! She’s a keeper.
Haha agreed. I’m lucky 😁

@@SmolderOutdoors Niiiiiiice! Thanks for sharing. Very cool.
She should of Turned Around!!!!
Just fyi that first spot you camped at on auxier ridge isn’t legal. You’re within a few feet of an official trail…. 300ft is minimum for DBNF.

@@SmolderOutdoors Yes, use AllTrails. Able to get cell service at all?
@@FrontlineLLC yes. It’s spotty in some areas but typically yes
