That Crowley cover! Oh dear! I’m diving into Constantine properly this time. The first volume is on Kindle Unlimited. It’s going to be a magical Autumn! 🍂
I just finished Real Monsters, Gruesome Critters, And Beasts from the Darkside! I found it at my local library in the Librarians Pick Display. It was my favorite color, green, so I had to take it home and read. I didn't realize at first that it was non-fiction. I read it cover to cover. I found it fascinating. Have fun with it!
I'm afraid I've jumped the gun on this, as I'm currently reading 'The Haunting of Borley Rectory' by Sean O'Connor, and very good it is too. I liked the description of Harry Price; 'As a sufferer of frequent migraines, the skin around his eyes was almost black, giving him, at times, an alarming appearance' (p17). I have that Brad Steiger book. His real name was Eugene Olson, apparently, and in his former career as a teacher he introduced one of his students, David Drake, to Weird Tales magazine (David Drake, Night and Demons, p96).
I'm holding onto my fedora! Excited for October!😊
It’s the most wonderfull time of the year!

I set my task of reading all 300 issues of the original Hellblazer run. It’s been a lot of fun.
Awesome - it's going to be great! Love your TBR. That Crowley cover though!
I know, right?

I've been meaning to get to that O'Connor book. Steiger is the quintessential unreliable narrator, but he spins a good yarn.
Sounds like some wild reads on your Occult Detective October TBR. I think I'm going to read some of the Joe Golem stories by Mike Mignola and others.
That's a good call. Joe Golem is a lot of fun.
@@occultdetective I only recently heard about them, but they do sound like a good time.
This sounds fun! Occult Detective non-fiction? Any suggestions or favorites?
Hans Holzer for starters
I'm definitely down for this! Making up my ODO reading list now!
Awesome. It's my favorite genre, just ahead of Sword & Sorcery and Gothic Horror.
