Unironicly keeping ash alive and getting Zac away from dragon was a huge play. It lead to ash taking tower and turned the rest of the dragon fight into a 3 v 2.
While not game winning it sure as fuck was important.

dude his macro is really good. he is perma pulling atleast 2-3 enemies to him. unless his team is completely greifing or braindead, they can do so much with that. early game his other laners get a break from jg. mid-late they can do objectives, get towers, pressure the other side of the map. only problem with this is it depends on the rest of the team as well, which i personally don't like. but he was so strong that this was the best way to play.
Baus is kinda right, i'm legit scared that the proxy-ing meta will be the only way to play top. Top is like super safe from any kind of gank right now, and dying under your own tower is a death sentence for your lane. As a jungle main, i cant always be there if they're trying to coordinate a tower dive for example.
Can you believe that coordinating tower dive feels easier for toplane than a simple normal gank right now. But if my toplane can just say "fuck this" and still somehow able to get items despite being 0/5 its amazing for other lanes.
the proxying meta in top lane is going to get nerfed if it keeps going like this. It makes less interesting gameplay. It won't get hard nerfed probally just a slight tap to keep the play style equal to laning.

yea sometimes the top laner just needs to hold on and get to mid-late game. if they can take all the abuse and do that then its good, but most just crack. i'm a jg main too, and if theres more than a slight top gap then ganking top can be really tough as well. ganking top and both u and ur top dying to enemy top is a death sentence for the game cos then enemy jg will either take obj, or gank other lane while enemy top becomes thanos. and bot getting 3 manned and watching us losing 2v1 will break them as well lol.

The champs that proxy are thechamps who can't win 1v1 in lane. Singed can't cs, rammus can't clear the wave before he getting to teh wave first, sion can lane but it allows him to avoid bad matchup. Its just that now other champs are int dying to play out a good death while dying for the wave. Even being lane bullies who doesn't need to proxy. This make the gameplay loop uninteresting but it is a strat. Thats whu I said it won't get hard nerfed probally just a slight tap to keep the play style equal to laning.@@BlindBambi
Acording to baus, this stat is only viable when your ahead, you gain tempo and forces enemy jug or top laner to fight you, it grants champs like daruis or riven higher tempo over the map. Jug come with top and your fed, 15% chance you kill both, 30% you kill the underlevel jug and top. No matter what happens, you get the wave and your jug is free to do something from over the map. Jungler can only gank you if there is camps to clear, it like roaming, you fail you lose minions and exp. No body can keep a shutdown for ever, once you rack up enough the enemy team is going to 5 man you. You die and gain nothing. It prevent you from racking up a bounty. @@EpicBunty

The thing about top lane is that in many matchups you just die. It’s almost unavoidable. For example I was Morde into riven, had a freeze on her she was below half, I had 60% hp and shield ready. I was near the wall near my tower. She w and e dash and flash from the bush plus w ults ignite and kills me before I could even press shield or move. Some champions have insane kill pressure, fiora, Darius, garen can all run you down in one combo from full. So with this in mind, playing for kda can only go so far, it’s best to die with the waves proxied so you don’t lose any to your tower when they push it in. In a weird way the game punishes turret huggers more then people who push to get advantages. Cause it’s easy for multiple different top champs to dive you alone it’s even worse when jg regularly shows up in higher elos. So if you know you’re in a match up that can swing either way, and you can proxy it’s worth it. You won’t magically avoid death under your tower. Not to mention if the wave slow pushes out you’re just screwed now, enemy only last hit let wave come to them and now you’re forced to move out for exp and farm. You will fall behind no matter what playing normal unless it’s a winning match up and you control the waves. If you don’t control the waves, you force the enemy to relinquish control by proxying and potentially getting many plates and waves you wouldn’t otherwise get. Hope this helps people who don’t play top lane or understand the concepts baus talks about.

3*14 = 42, 3*21 = 63. 42+63 = 105. That is the value of a wave. Plate is 125, and cannon is like 60 to 80. A cannon wave plus a plating is worth more than a kill, not even counting the xp you get from the wave.
And if the wave crashes, that's -105 (denied gold) for the enemy laner.
In total its like 400 gold difference.
If they lose a wave while u proxy, u get a 210 gold lead (+105 on you and -105 for them, not counting exp value), not only that but it forces enemy to catch the wave and not do anything on the map, while u have the opportunity to roam, reset or just keep proxying
Unironically Baus is right about high elo about making plays and its gonna look like inting. The major difference between piss low elo like diamond below is that everyone just jerks off and does nothing cause their too afraid of being an inter and dying while high elo is all about making actual plays happen and making the game move forward. Thats why in low elo u see a lot of araming cause people don’t know how to engage to progress a game and their is also alot less team fighting cause everyone is so scared and think if enemy team kills are higher that means they auto lose every fight so they dont fight not knowing they can win.

A wave is worth 125 gold, a kill is roughly worth 300 gold. If you die consecutive more times the gold you drop become far less every death and at the 4th death a wave is worth the same as you, after the 5th death consecutive is much more worth for the enemy to get the wave than kill you. Experience is actually gold stats wise, it is much better to get the incoming wave getting all the gold and exp it gives and dying in the process (hopefully making the enemy lose minions under tower while you do so) than being pushed in and have to lose waves because you either due under tower or you need to back because then not only the opponent gets all the gold of the kill as before, but you also lose the wave increasing the gold gap between the two. Add to it the fact that sometimes you are in a matchup that forces you to not being able to last hit minions, and this whole strategy to push the enemy wave in at the cost of your death becomes much better. Also Bounties are a thing and since with this strategy the gold difference between you two is the lowest it could be, you still get a chance at killing him, getting the bounty and having more gold

@@mikyll98 yhea, the gold from platessa thank to minion push costantly is an huge factoring aswell, aince the enemy can t touch your tower ever in most cases, solid stuff. Some top champs do it better than others and Sion is just perfect with this considering his passive with death, his fast clear and his scaling on health with w that is basically added free gold

So about Bausen law... I get it that it is always better dying on your own terms, but isn't not dying better? There are times when you are full hp, no threat of dying when wave isn't pushing to you, and you still do the proxy. How is that worth it?!

like he said it is about macro, funneling the wave on your terms means that they can't freeze ur lane and make u lose a lot of gold, and while u can freeze, meaning even giving 300 gold in few minutes he lost more then 300 gold due to losing minions
because of the NEXT wave, it's not just about the wave that you proxy for, its about clearing that wave so you have time to recall and run back to lane before the next wave meets each other. Ideally you DON'T want to die on a proxy, but dying on a proxy (up until like lvl7 or 8) has a low enough death timer you can still reach lane and catch the wave... Also as we saw with the riven in this video, when you die on a proxy it's usually because the enemy laner had to sacrifice the wave to kill you, that's now crashing under their turret. So you get +6 minions on the enemy, some dmg to their turret platings, and a good reset to lane, all for a death that gives them 300 gold
