Fr, it's always fun to see really mechanically gifted people square off. LIke at one point I saw Illaoi protect her tentacle from Bauss by ulting, which makes the tentacles untargetable, and that's just something I've never even thought to do.

One of the actual strengths of his playstyle is that it kinda forces enemy jg to camp him to stop his proxying from making him scale super hard. This is supposed to let the 1v2 in top lane make a 4v3 for the rest of the map, but some jgs just aren’t aware of the strengths and weaknesses of Baus’ playstyle, which is a very weakside playstyle.

Yooooooooooo Baus, you should play Murky in HOTS once, you can learn how to properly double soak & go behind turrets without dying. It will open up more champions in your pool aswell. You can actualy double soak behind T1 turrets of mid and top without dying.
Try trundle, shyvana, etc. Champs that have better waveclear than sion & better escape mechanics.
Sion is not the best proxy champ mate, change my mind.
Even singed WITH ghost can't catch up to shyvana & trundle without ghost.

Just Counterpick her. Yorick hard counters every single one of her abilities and Mordkaiser is strong enough to force her to ult, then you ult her and boom no tentacles. You could pick Tryndamere and just ignore her damage, Garen with ignite ult etc... Heck even Sett can just ult her away from her Ult than punch all the damage back.
Ask for help pre-6 from jg. Illaoi is famous enough you'll probably get it.
Bully her early, every single toplaner is stronger than her level 1(except Yorick and Nasus I guess) her level 2-3 is "technically" weak but she can actually hurt a lot if she goes W-E level 2.
Once she's level 6 bait out her ult then run away. Or have your jungle bait it and run away.
Take ignite and learn her weaknesses. High Mana costs, Her E is 15 seconds cooldown and she can only spawn 1 tentacle every 20 seconds. SHe also self-ccs to cast her abilities so if you dodge you can hit her for free.
Or learn to Dodge the E or dodge the game. If you dodge the E every single other champion beats her. That's why Yorick is her number 1 counter cause his ghouls block it without effort.
Former OTP illaoi, Emerald IV (so im also low elo). Super simple, destroy the tentacles as often as you can. Push or hold the wave at your advantange, the objective is to keep her away from her tentacles. And yes, some easy match-ups are yorick, darius, morde (If the opponent is a casual Illaoi) or Sion. With sion you just build heartsteel and I promise you, she doesn't have the damage to kill you. Also, if you can't dodge her E, just stand behind minions or keep moving in diagonal.
