I forgot it's not legal in most states in the US. It's legal here in Australia and it's not a big deal at all, people thinking it's going to be consequential are wrong.
depends on the state. eastern states are all regulated and brothels are legal. WA, SA and NT (I think) aren't regulated and individual sex work is legal, brothels aren't.
Almost crossed that bridge after spending nearly a decade with my highschool sweetheart. Not gonna get into detail, but maaaaan I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger on marriage.
There will be many starting families with hookers, once hookers become legal you stick to what you know 😂😂😂 Might be actually good for those women. Can pick from variety
For those who think legalizing prostitution would have a dramatic effect on the dating scene, I think you're a bit delusional. You only need to look at most of the rest of the western world where it is legal to see that it really doesn't make that big a difference. I think in part that simply because even though it's illegal in the US, the people who really want to pay for sex can and do. The only big difference I would expect is that if you legalized prostitution the associated crime would decrease. You could standardize health check ups and protect prostitutes from being exploited by pimps. Prohibition of any service or product for which there is an established demand never works out, the resulting black market always ends up funding other criminal enterprises and puts more control in the hands of criminals.
I'm I the UK and live about 2 min walk from a brothel that EVERYONE knows about and is full of hot polish girls and I have never visited it , well not yet at least but yeah this brothel is no secret and has been there for 15 + years and no one gives a fuck same dudes go in and out that would be picking up street girls if they were about
You are wrong. It isn't the same thing. If men are not shamed by society for seeking a sex worker, it will have a huge impact on dating. Not only dating but onlyfans, instagram influencers etc. I promise you, most men don't go to a sex worker because you'll be looked down upon. It would solve so many problems in the world. There would be less sugar daddies, relationships wouldn't break easily, trafficking would go down, police will more time to work on cases that will help society, divorces would go down, grapes would go down. If you don't believe me, let me give you an example. Back in my country weed was illegal and you were shamed for having it. So most people from my country would never touch it even if you could get it, only the more risk seeking individuals would. But when they came to a country like Canada, the same people would smoke weed almost everyday because it's not seen as shameful.
And you also seem to forget the fact that, most women's power over men is sexual. I am not being a sexist. I'm speaking from a man's perspective. If we were not seeking sex all the time, women would not have as much power over us. Half of the men don't seek marriage or children in general. Some even marry just for the promise of sex.
For men “quiet resentment can turn into loud violence” I’ve been telling my “I ain’t scared of no man” female acquaintances that like to drag dudes through the mud because the guy can’t hit them that this whole time and they don’t listen. You wonder why those “men hit back” videos are so popular on UA-cam. Because that’s just representative of a small portion of the people waiting for a valid reason to strike back and its just getting worse out there. Stay safe people and be gracious to EVERYONE.
It’s legal in Australia. Legal brothels which pay taxes and the sex workers have regular health checks and the brothels have to pass health and safety standards (can’t be dirty) Still drug addicted street walkers at the red light districts (They don’t hang around residential areas) who charge less and even they have a room nearby with security if they pay about 10% of what they get. So it’s safer for all involved. There are also illegal brothels which pose as massage parlers to avoid paying tax but sometimes they get caught and shut down.
Saying, “I don’t want my daughter or friends’ daughter to do it” is the wrong thing to be focused on. Imagine they are doing it. Now, How do we keep them safe? By legalizing it.
That's completely bullshit. That's going to hurt them every more. If it's legalized, their abusers won't be pursued. If it's legalized, they'll be forced to perform more extreme sex acts, even if they don't want to. If it's legalized, more women and girls will be kidnapped. Legalized prostitution is evil. Women are not objects to be bought and sold. Even if they wish to objective themselves.
If prostitution were legal, suicide rates would fall by 1/2 overnight. Marriage would also fall, but length of marriages would increase. It would be taxed, so there'd be a HUGE bump to the economy and our economy would benefit. There's NO downside. It would be regulated by laws, so disease would be less likely to spread. They'd get healthcare. Everyone would be better off. Instead of women feeling forced into it, women would choose it. They'd be rewarded. Life would just be better. And yeah... losers like me would be able to get laid... so depression rates would be cut in half overnight as well.
Mike B there is no argument to be made for non decriminalization of pot or decriminalization of prostitution. What we do with our bodies is our choice and ours alone. A deal between two people has nothing to do with the government.

Here in NZ it is legalised, nothing much is different except it’s safer, cleaner, and just better for society I personally believe. But there isn’t any change in the culture regards men in long term relationships or choosing paid sex over dating - it’s still a rare thing for people to do.
"A lot of these men, the way they're behaving to be subordinate. They're being obedience trained, and they're giving in to show that you shouldn't punish me because I'm on your side," because they're terrified of the women wielding this power." You perfectly described the chivalrous guys online, particularly on a woman's page/site/forum, who feel the need to swoop in and bash another guy expressing attraction of her. "You've gotta be careful about emasculating men." Take heed, divorced/single mothers of teen boys.
"If there was a situation where legalized prostitution was like grocery stores, where it was just everywhere" You're talking about Bangkok and Pattaya.
FilthyMcNastyAzz Please dismount of your high horse! I have not said anything of the sort. If you want to know how it usually works I can explain. Normally women that do this kind of job do it in places where they pay the owners an amount as rent for the rooms where the business happens. They get to keep most of the money and in this places they get regular medical check ups and use of prophylactics (i.e, condoms) is mandatory. As you guessed already many of this women are rather poor and uneducated. Some travel from neighboring countries (poorer than us, mainly Nicaragua, Colombia, Dominican Republic and now Venezuela) But people here is not destitute, you can get a job doing something else if you want. However most jobs do not paid as well and are backbreaking labor. That is the reason some women choose prostitution to earn bread for their families, as many are single mothers in many cases. The reality is that its not as hard work and pays relatively well. Most women know that this is not a career and what they look for is to get enough money to retire or to send to their family abroad and then leave. I know of several women that did that, earned enough money and then started their own business. Of course proxenetism still happens sometimes and we even have had cases of human trafficking. However as I have told already those things are illegal and victims have the recourse to go to the police to get protection, unlike in places were they are afraid to go to the authorities because they are criminalized. The responsibles for those crimes when catched usually end in jail. All things considered this is less barbaric than the system were this women are persecuted just for doing a job.
It won't solve anything. The poorest men who are at the highest risk of criminal activity will be unable to afford a prostitute and will continue to rape, steal, and murder.
"I don't want my kids, or my friends kids to be prostitutes" BUT! eh eh eh eh eh No no no, you revealed your hand there. That is why its illegal. Cause that IS the mentality for the majority of people.

You are missing the point, they wont want their daughter or friends daughter sleeping around either, but many women do it anyway. So legalizing prostitution would not make a difference morally wise in western society

I understand the difficulties of apprehending this culture and this type of exchange ; from the enhancement of emotional impression, to the usefulness of communication by those that typically do not converse ; this presence in a legal form can survive being established as therapeutic. Well they did it here (NZ ) the price of a shag went from about $300 a pop to 150, more women do it now, but it does cut out the pimps so I guess it's a good thing but, as long as you have $ you always have prostitution always and you don't really have anymore brothels, most just rent house and manage it themselves, (FYI I know as one my family rentals we rent to a prostitute, it's legal she pays her rent, she's one of our less problematic tents)

Legalize prostitution would destroy Feminism and flip the relationship paradigm back in mens favor... Why would any man spend 100 or 150 dollars on a first date and not even try getting a kiss because of not wanting to be accused of sexual assault?
Said it before and will say it again, if there were sex dolls that were completely life-like and reasonably priced then marriage would almost completely disappear.
It would be over forever.
Especially if these dolls can walk, cook, clean, then GG's to marriage
Prostitution is illegal, yet porn( having sex for money) is legal. How does that make sense? And miss me with the porn is art rebuttal.
This is an argument I have had quite a few times with my current partner.
Porn is not art.
However "art is what you make it" so literally a pile of shit in my yard is art if I say it is. And that's the issue with "art"
But the idea that prostitution is only legal if you record it.... maybe we messed up somewhere.
@@johnilyemson you right but guess what is a bussiness, the right to have a business therefor selling ones body should be legal since again you banning someone from doing business

I forgot it's not legal in most states in the US. It's legal here in Australia and it's not a big deal at all, people thinking it's going to be consequential are wrong.
What are the regulations like?
depends on the state. eastern states are all regulated and brothels are legal. WA, SA and NT (I think) aren't regulated and individual sex work is legal, brothels aren't.
That's why Australian women are so high quality.

I'm I the UK and live about 2 min walk from a brothel that EVERYONE knows about and is full of hot polish girls and I have never visited it , well not yet at least but yeah this brothel is no secret and has been there for 15 + years and no one gives a fuck same dudes go in and out that would be picking up street girls if they were about
@@djimma5080 maybe they go in to meet their sisters or something. 😁 Just kidding I think that's cool what you said.
You're talking a lot of sense. The US is regression in a lot of ways
I can't understand why men in 2021 in America can't go to a legal brothel in a city without worrying about law enforcement. It's insane.
We live in a pussy whipped era
Its kinda taking away mens rights. Here in Germany it is legal and not expensive.
And in Holland. They have legal brothels in Amsterdam
When joe said “I say hoes with all due respect” idk why I started laughing like crazy 😂
Probably because it's funny
I wrote a 5 page research paper on the legalization of prostitution for my English class final(senior year high school)
What's the argument for it
The Rookie what’s the argument against it being legalized
What did you get?
Mike B no legalize it
Mike B there is no argument to be made for non decriminalization of pot or decriminalization of prostitution. What we do with our bodies is our choice and ours alone. A deal between two people has nothing to do with the government.
I'm with Joe. My wife decided after 5 houses 3 kids and me working 10 hour days for 16 years. Then decided she is 51 and never wants sex again. Ever. Think about that Joe. Never have sex again

Menopause probably messed her up
Here in NZ it is legalised, nothing much is different except it’s safer, cleaner, and just better for society I personally believe.
"You've gotta be careful about emasculating men." Take heed, divorced/single mothers of teen boys.
legal here. NZ. Changed everything, cleaned up the streets, created a new tax revenue...
I'm stunned that I can't find a single comment that isn't in favor of legalized prostitution.
"If there was a situation where legalized prostitution was like grocery stores, where it was just everywhere"

Interesting thought....It's illegal to sell sex but legal to give it away. It's also illegal to sell wild game, but it's legal to give it away.
Prostitution helped me recover after my divorce. I hope one day it can become legal.

Legal prostitution is awesome. I went to Costa Rica and it was so fun
Narcissus it's legal there?
Ashley Taylor Yes. It's rather nice. What is illegal is proxenetism. So no pimps allowed.
Narcissus yep, paying girls who cant put food on thd table any other way. Youre a saviour.
Marlon Bryan Muñoz Núñez its illegal, that guarantees theres no pimps right. As soon as anything is illegal it automatically stops. Right?
FilthyMcNastyAzz Please dismount of your high horse! I have not said anything of the sort. If you want to know how it usually works I can explain. Normally women that do this kind of job do it in places where they pay the owners an amount as rent for the rooms where the business happens. They get to keep most of the money and in this places they get regular medical check ups and use of prophylactics (i.e, condoms) is mandatory.
As you guessed already many of this women are rather poor and uneducated. Some travel from neighboring countries (poorer than us, mainly Nicaragua, Colombia, Dominican Republic and now Venezuela)
But people here is not destitute, you can get a job doing something else if you want.
I agree that prostitution should be legalized but that's because it doesn't make much sense to have it illegal.
Exactly another way government can collect taxes and it is job almost anyone can pick up sadly.
I appreciate his opinion on a variety of issues; however, he has a point regarding legalization of prostitution.
Rogan is actually genius. I gave it some thought and strange enough this really would correct a majority of our social issues. ..
It won't solve anything. The poorest men who are at the highest risk of criminal activity will be unable to afford a prostitute and will continue to rape, steal, and murder.

Of course because nobody wants that career for their loved ones but people should have the right to make bad decisions

Most who go into prostitution have issues and are only in it for money.

@@adk5997 man people work shitty jobs that makes them insane amount of money. So of course prostitution could be one of those shitty jobs too. You are missing the point, they wont want their daughter or friends daughter sleeping around either, but many women do it anyway. So legalizing prostitution would not make a difference morally wise in western society

It's legal in Australia and works pretty well from what I know.
I’ve yet to understand how you can constitutionally make prostitution illegal
I understand the difficulties of apprehending this culture and this type of exchange ; from the enhancement of emotional impression, to the usefulness of communication by those that typically do not converse ; this presence in a legal form can survive being established as therapeutic. I consider these provable positives and insist inclusiveness with the culture and consider these to well define the word exchange that i have used in this paragraph.
*Imagine if prostitution was like a Seattle-style coffee shop, 4 ON EVERY CORNER.*
It’s like dat Germany 🇩🇪
Well they did it here (NZ ) the price of a shag went from about $300 a pop to 150, more women do it now, but it does cut out the pimps so I guess it's a good thing but, as long as you have $ you always have prostitution always and you don't really have anymore brothels, most just rent house and manage it themselves, (FYI I know as one my family rentals we rent to a prostitute, it's legal she pays her rent, she's one of our less problematic tents)
So Crates the last Hooker that was mudered here was quite a few years back and I think that was gang related, I'm not saying it's a good thing for the women doin it, but as friend of mine told me she could work all day in shop for minimum wage or make the days wages in one hour of prostitution, it's just how capitalism works
