Her voice simply resonates throughout my entire body. It’s something I don’t experience with any other singer. After reading her (musical) autobiography, I would speculate that she considered this period the peak of her vocal ability. She was very aware and critical of her instrument and felt that she was still learning throughout the seventies and eighties. But anyway, I feel fortunate to have been young during her career and growing along with this amazing talent. Her music has enriched my life in untold ways. Thanks for your appreciation of her remarkable instrument and how she perfected the use of it. 🌺✌️

Linda's rendition of "Adios" is breathtakingly moving. The way she finishes the phrase"...all night at the old cantina!" gets me every time.

This song is the combined work of three music geniuses, Linda, Jimmy Webb, and Brian Wilson. Brian sang all the backup vocals. That’s in spite of the fact it sounds like a group backup. Brian laid down multiple tracks deliberately singing some slightly off key, He then took Linda’s original and overlayed the backup tracks to create what we’re listening to in this song.
You can talk about the strong notes all day long, but it’s the whisper of “and I” miss the blood red sunset that gets me. Absolutely perfect, and who thought of that?!?
