Sig 226 Legion owner here. You really don't know until you shoot it. The upgrades on it over a standard 226 make this one special. This pistol really exemplifies how special some Sigs can be. what a pleasure to shoot.
I own a P229 Legion in 357SIG. Incredibly accurate and a joy to shoot. When SIG developed the 357SIG (with Federal) cartridge, they must of had the P229 /P226 in mind. Perfect!
Fun fact. Mec-gar 18 round mags with the SIG 20 rnd base plate will maximize cap to 22+1. Happy accident I found when I put on armory craft base plate on 2 SIG 20 rnd mags and then switched my SIG 20rnd base plate to mec-gar 18 round mags.
I own one a legion 226, and you really cannot put into words how smooth that trigger is or how well it shoots. If you can get your hands on it to shoot one do it, you wont regret it.
I have one and yes it is accurate and the reset is insane. It's awesome seeing other people having the same kind of fun I had the first day I got to the range with my Legion.
Tarsarian Bought that one in ‘93 and ended up selling it and now regret it. I was using .40 black talon rounds on duty. So dumb for them to outlaw them.
Same! I found mine in a Pawn shop for $800. At first I didn't know what it was and I thought I'd never pay that much. But when I did a quick Google search and saw what the MSRP was I went back and bought it the next day.
It has been my goal handgun ever since i've got into guns... I had a regular 226, unfortunately I sold it, but eventually il get one of them legion 226 for sure!
I picked up a 226 Legion SAO last summer. Had to use my student discount after a class at Sig. The SAO has the short reset trigger, but it is a straight trigger which I prefer. It quickly turned into my favorite pistol.
Just bought a Sig P938 Legion for my wife, it really is an amazing little 9mm. Beautiful fit and finish and for my wife it fit her hand perfectly. We got a good deal brand new, paid $725. For the price point of the Legion series you get a lot for your money. Upgraded triggers, xray day/night sights, g10 grips, enhanced action and the cool factor for some. My wife loves it so I cannot complain that she has found her perfect conceal carry gun.
I bought a Sig 229 extreme after a deployment. It’s the predecessor of the legion. I love it. Super accurate and the trigger is great. Easiest shooting gun I own.
Nice that I could really hear honest excitement for this Sig. make me glad my first handgun is a Sig P226 MK-25 other then SRT the same gun with a better FDE finish. great video. I let my Glock buddy shoot it and he had pretty much the same reaction.
unfortunately, I feel like this is a trademark sig problem. I feel like my p320 wears a bit fast compared to some other guns. It looks kinda cool imho, but also not lol
The sig p226 legion was my First 9mm handgun. I put something like 2,5 k Rounds through it and had no problem whatsoever until Today. As i am from Germany and its Not so easy to buy a new Pistol whenever you want it i am very glad that i Made this purchase. I Love my Legion and Enjoy shooting it whenever i can. Keep up your great Contents and Stay safe. Best rgds from Germany ✌
I qualified for my texas ccl with this and scored 248 out of 250. 1000 rounds through it this year made all the difference in the feel. After "break in" its stupid smooth
I have Legions in 220, 226 and 229 ... and love ' em. I was confused when twice you said the trigger was "adjustable". The trigger is awesome, but not adjustable, unless you've got something non-standard there. Let me know if I'm wrong, and it really is somehow adjustable.
I recently picked up a P220 Elite. It is the finest, most accurate handgun that I’ve ever owned. I can only imagine that the Legion series would surpass it.
Mine is in 357 sig, it is even more accurate than the 9 mm. I consistently hit 6” plates at 50 yds. 10 yards 50 rounds on target can be covered with a quarter. The legion 226 is far better than the original 226 or the mk25 I can shoot the test drill in 6 seconds and shoot it clean with full power gold dots. It doesn’t get any better than the 226 legion. I own Wilson’s and nighthawks and I score better with the 226
FishFind3000 Why eww! It is has outstanding stopping power but is still economical to shoot. It’s the ideal pistol cartridge. And it’s easy to convey the gun to .357 SIG. all I need is a barrel.
Thanks gentlemen. The Legion has been on my list for 2 years. Lord willing I will get mine in 357 Sig or 40cal. Later this year. Your video isn't helping my patience. Finances don't prioritize a firearm I don't "need". But, well, you understand. Good shooting. Thanks Kevin for loaning this Legion.
Eric, love your vids but got a question... why do you wait until you find your sight picture to reset the trigger? Just curious. Keep up the awesome videos!
I’m buying this exact gun this week. I moved from Ca to Ohio so I’m not stuck with a stupid 10 rd mag. I own a Glock model 21, a Star 9 mm & a Smith & Wilson 7 shot .357 the Sig 226 has everything I’d want for a tactical pistol. My son thinks I should get the red dot but I disagree. Great video guys thank you for your service 🙏🏼🇺🇸❤️
@@cadrniadrctkers they are fantastic guns. I fell in love with the Sig P229 when my older brother was still with the US Secret Service. He retired after 24 years of service. The Sig P229 in .357sig is their duty weapon. I'm sure that you can find one used. Check with your local dealers.
I got the 226 Rx , and let me tell you,, WOW,, very accurate and smooth as butter,, I turn heads at range all the time with it. Its a Great gun period...
I got one, love it... comes with that excellent SRT, great sights, slick action with that finish... I have a 226 MK25 also that I sent to Sig for the SRT and every polish and trigger and spring work they could do and it too is remarkable, so much so that it is actually smoother than the Legion. I love my Legion out of the box but even Sig says it can be bettered by sending it in for trigger tuning and some other work. Would have been nice if the Legion simply came with everything already done but maybe not everyone wants that light of a trigger with a short and crisp reset. Mec-Gar makes some beautiful flush fitting 18 round mags for the 226 so you can have 18 + 1 in your holster.. Mec-Gar of course made the original Sig mags and you should always make sure you have Mec-Gars and not some of the newer Checkmates that may be made in the US as they are just not as reliable.

My old 226 legion was NOT corrosion resistant pvd finish lasted about a week. when i got the gun new it allready had finish problems under the grip panels.
Just bought an old sig p232. Great carry gun. Absolutely no frills, snag free, laser accurate. Wondering if you guys have ever handled one. If not check them out. Only downside is heel mag release, which is fine. It's trainable. My first handgun was an old Walther P1, so I'm a bit more comfortable than the average shooter with heel mag releases
Bought the legion p220 in 10mm the other day I haven’t stop shooting it yet and I’m by far a rifle guy so I traded in my shield 2.0 compact for the legion p938 compact ..I couldn’t hit the side of a barn with that shield compact with the legion compact legion my groups are tight and on point...before the year is out I gotta get that 357 legion and 45 legion hopefully as Christmas gift it’s just a great line not to mention the free fitted legion case sig sends to for registering
