Have a small flock that come daily. Along with the wood storks. The fires last couple years have been taking their toll on the spoons and storks. Have had so many come by covered in soot. But they still bringing the fledglings around, so they are getting by.
in Florida Bay? Sadly, these birds have gotten pretty rare in my experience, and you don't see "large flocks" like the video says. I've seen a few roseate spoonbills feeding with a large flock of white ibis in the Shark Valley area of the Everglades.
Just south of Tampa /St. Pete area. Normally have two, but have up to 5 stop by. They are still a special surprise when they stop by, and add color to the yard. Also are getting those Black Crown Night Herons. Thought those were weird penguins at first. o.O To many Ibis, whistler ducks, and others to keep track of.
Save the Spoonbill, save their habitat. Protect the land water and resources on which they and other species depend. It’s their planet too. 🌎
I just saw my 1st. Roseate Spoonbill behind my house along the canal .Lovely,inWPBeach Fl.
What a beautiful bird, I’m dying to see one in the wild... maybe someday.
