The fact that double has a means to counter those who abuse his weakness is amazing, I wish we got more bosses who wouldn't just let you push them around with their weaknesses scot-free
@@mbrillon765 Yeah, his weakness is Double Cyclone, but when he's nailed with his weakness, he shoots out two jello-like spheres that morph into either floating saucers or sawblades, which can really make things pretty hectic.
This song just screams violence, which suits Double perfectly, because he was the epitome of a violent Maverick, possibly one of the most violent of them all, if not the most violent.
The most muderous mavericks to me were Double, Neon Tiger, Silver Horn (Silver loves to torture a lot...son of a b...anyway at least Double usually kills fast albeit painful and not have ya screaming for days if not weeks like Silver), Zain and I feel that Geemel as well (his eyes looks like a total psycho like Double who wants to kill ya painfully and has a bit of sense of humor...the mean variaty).

Man, I just thought of something twisted. Imagine if, for a remake of the game, they merged events of both X and Zero's paths together, and for the cutscene after Colonel's death, Double (still disguised) tells Iris that Zero killed Colonel. And as she's consumed by grief, he 'accidentally' lets slip that Colonel's core is still intact, driving her to find it and use it to transform. All for the sake of leading Zero to lose his will to fight on while Double delays X so Sigma can do his finishing touches on the Final Weapon once both hunters reach General.
This is one of the best double crosses in the Mega man series. I wasn’t expecting double to be evil, I just thought he was a new character and nothing else. But then BOOM he kills a bunch of innocent reploids and then goes to kill X. Genius!
Such a great character, great name, great foil, great placement. The fact Double has two bodies, two personalities, a double agent, and an "on the Double" assist, makes him a great character in a great game with a great song.

@@Potatoman483 Mijinion multiplies if you hit him with pretty much ANYTHING. To this day, I don't know what makes him NOT multiply, so I just try to win the damage race before I get overwhelmed. Also, I don't use weaknesses in X6 because the special weapons kinda suck there.

Guard shell is OP with zero, especially for mijinion's stage. speaking of, mijinion's technique makes heatnix's stage actually doable. all the other weapons are meh...

Something I really wish they did with X's campaign, was create a clearer thru line with the story. It had all the building blocks for a great story about trust, loyalty, and honor. And Double seems like a great exploration for what happens when you put your trust in the wrong person. This music evokes it, too. This feeling of anger, betrayal, and paranoia represented in this double agent.
And then Ace Attorney Dual Destinies pulled a similar energy with Phantom's theme. Something about double agents must seem really exotic over at Capcom.

And it wasn’t too bad since he kept using the Evil Slash (that’s what I heard, English Voice acting is great.) and occasionally the spinning wheel attack. When I learned about the Double Cyclone weakness, I tried using it on him, and it worked, but made the fight so much harder…
I remember being absolutely shook when double cuts through the innocent reploids in that one cinematic but also thinking "wait, reploids bleed?!" Before i realized their oil is red 💀

Usually, endgame bosses take a weakness hit like any other hit. Double reacting to Double Cyclone adds some interesting complexity to the fight.
Be that as it may, he still falls to the Nova Strike, though. (Ultimate Armor)

Unfortunately, I already knew the code for the ultimate armor, so the first time I faced him, I whipped his ass!
Double Cyclone is basically your last resort. Use it when Double's pattern becomes overwhelming and you need to kill him as quickly as possible.
Actually, Double Cyclone is a TRAP: using it against Double causes parts of his body to break off and attack on their own, making the fight HARDER.
